Be Careful Toro~~~

ETA: 100606; approx 3.15
Bujang looked on at Toro's triumphant 1st walk quietly. He tried to follow us but was constrained by the length of his leash. I had to tie his leash to the grills so I could supervise Toro on his first walk out. But Bujang has always enjoyed just sitting outside the house, close enough to us so he could be certain he would be safe and of course I sometimes change the lengths of the leash so he could sometimes walk a little further along the corridor by himself. I have never allowed him to sit outside unleashed and am a trifle envious of Spencer who sometimes sits outside cat_aunty's flat by herself.

I would sit near the door when Bujang is out as once someone tried to come too close to him. Bujang was very frightened and when I asked the lady why she wanted to touch my cat, she said she had lost her own cat and wanted to see if Bujang was her cat. Wah! It was quite sad to hear that she had lost her own cat. Sometimes Bujang would sit right smack at the centre of the doorway so he could see what was going on inside the house as well as enjoy the outside view.

Toro was still uncertain and would sometimes look at Bujang sitting behind him as though for assurance. He took several looks behind before continuing his journey. Of course he might be looking at how far he was from the safety of the house. But he was quite okay after seeing Bujang who was watching his progress.

  1. Dear San, Spencer is lily-livered. She would only sit outside when the gate is opened. Any little noises we make when closing the gate, she would run back into the house, or howl to be admitted. Bujang is so much braver.

  2. Wah. I wouldn't have known. She always looks formidable especially in the stone lion episode. :)) Bujang used to be much braver before but now and then he does get a little rattled if he sees no one in the living room and would come in to investigate. But he does like lolling about in the corridor and he recognises the neighbours so he is not rattled by them too much.
