Saturday Easy

We had 2 busy days to celebrate Hari Raya and our 48th National Day. But today we are feeling free and easy.

We went for a short walk along our corridor.

Bujang spent some time watching the corridor for signs of guests but the other two were just catching the breeze.
Megat spent the time just relaxing.
He was eating rather well the last 2 days but today he just licked at the gravy in his food bowl so I have him 15 ml of no grain chicken. He has his VitB, marbocyl and his cyproheptidene.

We expect the rest if the day to continue slowly and easily.

Meeting the neighbour

It was good to see Bujang in action of being a good neighbour especially after he sat outside their home some days before. I had posted the last pic before but the first 2 happened only yesterday :)

Corridor adventures

Yesterday Bujang had some time outside. He enjoys walking but prefers walking on grass. However as the estate is having a face-lift he has to be contented with just the corridor. He was not pleased when it was time to go home.
Well I wait for san to come home everyday to go out. For sure I will make some decisions.....

He refused to look at me as he knows I would tell him to go home. He decided to rest in front of the neighbour's door.

And yet again, he turned away :)

He sat on the staircase landing and resolutely scrutinized the neighbour's bicycles
He batted his leash and told it to leave him alone
Finally after much ado he decide finally to get up and walk slowly down the steps and
walked me home - in his own time.
And had some grass with the family.
Of cos as the big brother he allowed Tanaka to eat the grass first :)

A Garderner at Heart

Bujang spent his whole time along the corridor visiting plants. Ok he did run after a fat lizard but he preferred plants better :) or maybe these green things are the only interesting things along our corridor. We did not get to the park as it rained the whole day. But Bujang seems quite happy as long as he gets outside :)

Tanaka Outside

Like Bujang, Tanaka also likes hanging around plants. Possibly the sterility of the corridor makes these spaces particularly attractive with hidden places and strange smells.
Hmmm..strange yes but not furry interesting san..
He took some time to decide whether he should or should not...
The decision was simple - Just Do It!
Tanaka also tried to free himself from the leash but I told him it was not to be done. He did this once or twice and then we took another walk along the short corridor before he had to go home. It was already late at night and Sister N had to go home and as we coud not leave grandma alone, we had to go home asap.

Evening Walk

I told san I want to go out walking. She said we would go out on the corridor because it was too late to go downstairs. I said Okie...
This is the start of our walk. I like going to the neighbour with the big plants...
They had put more back stuff on their plant. It smelled nice.
Then I thought I should visit the other plants along the corridor because I didn't get to walk in my park this evening.
These are garndma's plants...
This chair belonged to someone upstairs...
This is her plant. san was very impressed with it and took a pikshur.
I also smelled something strange in the stove. san told me grandma used to have such a stove when she lived in the kampong before.
It was not such a bad walk. I got a little firghtened when the people came home, the one who owned the stove and ran away. Poor san had to run away with me. I think she would have to explain the situation when she sees them next in the lift. Sorry san. Now I am rather sleepy and I thought a nap would be good.

Outside on Thursday

This morning Bujang looked outside and we both saw that the day was dark. He tried to encourage me to go out for a walk but I had to work..

When I finished at work, it was drizzling. It seemed that it had been raining for the whole day! So Bujang had to take a walk along the corridor. He now prefers to go upstairs to new territory but as no one upstairs knows us, they might not like a cat sniffing about their plants. I worried a little about that but as usual there was no one about at that time.

Bujang sniffed at one of the big plants. I suppose it smells different
He was other wise quite cautious, like me.

I was glad when we came downstairs and he walked along our own corridor. As usual, he sniffed out recyling bags, plant, floors and general corridor things. At least he had some time out today.

Toro finally plucked his courage and boldly went out to explore...

Tanaka spent his time being Bujang's shadow and followed him everywhere...

Bujang spent his day out calmy and sat and rested happily outside...
The boys went outside today as well as yesterday. They had a fine time just rolling about lazily in the hot but windy afternoon. Bujang took the whole experience in his stride and was the last cat in. He actually had to be persuaded to go into the house.
This afternoon, Tanaka came in on his own. I guess it was no fun when all Bujang did was sit and stare at the world. Toro went out yesterday for abit but he refused to go out today. Grandma thought he was just sulking as she scolded him for trying to run after Ms Akira :) He does have his moods!

The sunshine boys

Boys out together...

Bujang listening to a bird call...

Toro just enjoying the morning...

I decided to let everyone out along the corrdor as it had been a very long time that any of them were out at all. Toro woke up that morning and immediately rushed to see what was going on outside. This is his usual routine. He really loves watching what goes on. So I had them in their harnesses and they all sat outside watching the sunshine and listening to all the interesting noises. It was interesting for me that Toro was the last one to get back into the house. Bujang heard a loud noise and decided that he was much safer inside looking out than outside trying to get in :) I had to carry Toro in as he did not want to get inside at all after a whole hour just hanging out along the corridor. He must have missed sitting outside quite alot.

Ms Akira's saturday outside

Ms Akira sniffing the plants without her harness...

Ms Akira taking a leisurely stroll along the corridor...

Taking a breather in the sunlight...

Looking for bugs...

As usual..who's that?

Last Saturday found the whole crew minus Megat out along the corrdor enjoying the first rays of sunshine for the morning. Ms Akira was particularly brave and walked out confidently. She walked for a bit, sniffing at the plants until I decided it was too scary for the both of us to have her out without her harness. Once she has her harness on, I let her walk about at leisure and she quite enjoyed sitting along the corridor and looking for bugs on that quiet Saturday. I must say this was one of the longest times she has ever been out without darting into the house at the slighest bit of noise. I think she made quite a nice morning out of it :)

Corridor

Bujang reminiscing outside...

Toro prefers to be close to home in case...

I was able to get off work earlier than usual today for which I am glad. I tried to get the amigos another set of the Feliway diffuser but was not successful. So I came home and decided to allow the boys to sit outside for a bit. Both the boys were eager to be let out especially Toro although he had a few bouts of fright when the neighbours had to pass us to go to the lifts. He finally decided to sit at the door to be sure he would be protected from all strange things and he could still look out unencumbered by the grills. I think both boys had a good time this afternoon. Ms Akira came out to walk for a minute or two without her harness. She didn't get very far from the door before I put her back inside as she is skittish and easily frightened. She relaxed with me inside the door for as long as the boys were outside :). It was good that she was so accomodating this afternoon. megat sat with grandma watching the rerun of Ghost Whisperer the whole time.

Saturday Outside

All leashes in a row...

The 3 kitties waiting for instructions...

Toro' giving me special instructions cos he is kind of nervous when he is outside...

Toro in a romantic feline pose...

Toro enjoying himself outside...

Saturday morning found the 3 kitties quite eager to be out, even Ms Akira although she did not make it out at all. The kitties were rather nervous as there were intermittent sounds of drilling from upstairs. They jumped everytime they heard it. Bujang was out only for a while as the neighbours kids came whizzing along the corridor on their skateboard and he got spooked for abit.
So it was Toro who actually had the most fun outside. He came in when he got nervous and then he went out again...several times. As I was sitting at the door, he was much braver to sit outside by himself. Bujang just rested near the door the whole time. I think he had quite enough of surprises to last him the whole day.
The rest of the day was pretty quiet as the kids had gone down to play and there were only a few people walking past our house. Megat was nowhere to be seen. These days, he prefers to sit on the bed by himself while everyone is outside in the living room. In this way, he actually gets the whole room to himself unless one of the kitties want to go to the bathroom. :)
