We are bruffers after all...

These 2 just had a little spat and now they are lying here together...easy as pie :) I had to make sure the top of this cabinet is quite empty so they boys can sleep on the warm surafce when they want to. Bujang is in his favourite spot and Toro likes putting his head on my router sometimes .
Right now he is warming his tail on it :)

Monday morning calm

Yes san..I am just minding my business. It looks like a cool morning...
I fink there will be no vet today. san is going to work...yippee!

Monday Morning Skirmish...

I want this fur myself...have to get rid of Bujang...
What to do? What to do?
Poke 'im...He hates that...
Hey you! Stop it or else!
I dun believe it...he actually got off! Hee..hee
Now what is he doing?
Hmmm..what is inside?
Lemme open it wif my nimble paws!

and he did. Bujang and Megat like opening this little cabinet just to see what is inside although the inside never changes :) It was a surprise that Bujang did not insist on staying on the cat tree. If not Toro would get it for sure :))

Huh? Is it time for bed already?

Ok..you have 10 more minutes...and then its really time for bed....

Goodnight Sunday

Bujang last Friday after his host duties :)
Bujang on Easy Peasy Sunday...almost the same...hahaha

Bujang was very tired last Friday from having to entertain all our guests for Hari Raya Haji. When the last guest left, he immediately fell asleep until its time for bedtime. He has always taken his host duties very seriously.

No!

Toro sulking at dinner time...

This evening Toro refused all the wet food that I tried to give him - the Fussiecat, salmon and tuna, the BURP salmon and gravy, the Natural Balance. I even tried to give him the IAMS chicken dry food. But he said NO to everything. So I told him that in that case, he would have to go without dinner and walked out of the kitchen.

He spent the next hour sitting with grandma :) but later came to the kitchen to ask for food and ate his IAMS chicken without further tantrums. The amigos have decided that they are fed-up with Orijen and so I had to find a suitable substitute for them that everyone would eat. Everyone eats IAMS Healthy Naturals Chicken Of cos Megat eats his own renal diet but he is very partial to Orijen. He gets a little bit of Orijen and mostly Walthams Renal and some wet food.

You never know...

...what can happen on easy peasy Sunday...
so I had to wrap myself around this cat tree...
I heard san telling grandma I have to go to the vet for my annual check-up...
I ask you. Do I need a check up? I have checked myself and I am well san...

Easy Peasy Sunday

This Sunday, it is too hot to chase the boys so I am just going to laze about...ohh..yeah.....
Thanks to our friends at the poupounette for giving us this award :) They are very generous and had given us this award that their friends Petey, Virus, Hyssing and Bajas over at The Wrigglebutt had given them.

It is truly a blessing that Megat, our 13 going on 14 FIV adopted kitty, is in remission from lymphoma and every day that we spend with him is a blessing. He is getting his mojo back and has discovered the joy of play and chasing after the boys :)

We are passing this award to our friend Spencer who is taking care of his person Cat-aunty and Max who is doing well. Now Spencer is also taking care of Hat. She is a real trooper.

Neighbourhood cats

This is a very fat tux I saw when I went to the doc for cough. She is VERY fat and her fur very silky. The people seem to like her alot and she seems to feel the most comfortable in front of another clinic LA. I think its because one of the assistants in that clinic loves cats and works for MCats, a cat shelter in T. Here she is eating some orijen on one of my bills :)

She would aonly allow me to take her profile and she has a most distinguished one. these 2 pics are blurry cos its taken with my handphone.
This is Minah and she is looking fat and healthy if a little dirty. But she is fierce and tolerates no messing around so no one has been able to clean her up.
Here Minah was contemplating some Christmas shopping. At least I had some use for the junk mail.

Nostalgia

I found a picture of Toro from about 2 years ago. I think I took this when he was with us for the first 6 months. He was already 1.5 years old. He looked much fatter than he is now although he is now 5.5 kg at the last weigh-in some months ago. I must say he was handsome then and so much more handsome now :)

We meditate on our good life...and

give thanks...

Our list is furry long but san says to just make notes offur the fings that we remembur...
We give fanks fur....

1. grandma who is doing furry well except fur her purple eyes. She looks furry fetching...
2. dr l who has taken care offur Megat furry well. Megat is in remission but he is furry naughty and always wants to bully me. But since he is still here wif us...I give fanks fur that even...
3. cousin r who helps san and grandma and plays wif us. She also gives us toona when san has to work late and she helps san feed the kommunity kats...
4. our toys...we lurve them all...maybe not so much the fling-a-ma-string..thing..err...you know...
5. our cans and cans and cans of lovely toona...
6. the fact that all offur us have a roof offur our heads and don't have to live outside...where the rats are bigger than my bruffer Bujang...
7. our medikasions..although none offur us likes them...
8. our furry quiet lives :)...

That is my short list...also we give thanks that tomorrow is Hari Raya Haji and hope that san's sisfur n and her male bean are safe and sound in Mecca...

Inspection

Hmmm..its ok for Megat...but this is NOT fur me...
Its too small and cramped. I wonder how Megat sleeps in here...

This morning, I decided to leave the door of the cage unlatched and before I knew it, Bujang got in and started to sniff around. I was curious to see what he thought of it but I guess he did not think very much of it as he did a 360 degrees turn and got out again :) He had used the litter once or twice though. I am always amazed how such a big cat can use such a small bin and neatly too.

Thursday rains

Yup I need to get cosy. Its going to rain. I can feel it...
Ms Akira had no problems with shut-eye...
A nap is good after the fling-a-ma-string session san. I like it but not too much...

Thursday afternoon rained on us. The days have been getting wetter and wetter. of course this is no surprise as its November, our rainy season. The kitties are all warmly tucked in. We do appreciate the fact that it rains only in the evenings and the mornings are fine.

Fling-a-ma-string is here!

Package from international checkout...YAYYYY!!!
This toy came highly recommended by moderncatdotnet. I thought I should get it for the boys.
Alas...all they did was sniff and touch. They did sit through cycles of hypnotic string movts though :)

Fling-a-ma-string in action

Toro is the only kitty in the house that genuinely likes the new toy. Its quite hypnotizing - the sound as well as the movt. The movt is not random enough to attract the boys all the time. They just sit there staring at it, up and down :) Not one of my successful purchases I must say.

Oh dear grandma...

I hope grandma gets well soon...
Oh dear...its too scary...
I fink all will be well wif grandma and effuryone this morning....

Last night while we were giving Megat his supplements, grandma fell quite hard and her forehead bled. Cousin R and I immediately put Megat in his cage and put grandma in her chair and brought her to the doctor. The amigos were all very shocked at the sudden flurry in our otherwise slow household situation and they all ran for cover. Poor kitties !

It was fortunate that there were only a few people there at about 8.30 pm. We got to see the doctor first and grandma has 4 stitches on her forehead. When we got home, none of the kitties came out of the room but after we settled grandma (and became calmer ourselves), Bujang came out but peeked out timidly from behind a wall. He looked scared and uncertain. Tanaka of course was curious and came to sniff at grandma from a distance. Cousin R and I talked softly to them and offere dthem treats and after abit they all came out to sniff at grandma and everyone settled down well.

This morning grandma told me that Bujang and Toro came to sit with her on her bed. She was very pleased. I told her the kitties always know if anyone in the house needed comforting. We are both gald to have all of them with us.

Btw grandma is better apart from a purple bruise around her eye. she is very cheerful and watched her favourite soap opera:) We were all very relieved.

Easy Peasy Sunday

zzz...

The tongue has it...

Its time to play...

The light box!! Oh noooo...

Bujang took to being photographed again with good grace. This toy generated some interest but only for 5 minutes. Then he decided to rest until he got the Styrofoam ball . Its very light and he likes batting it around. But never give it to him at night as the noise coud drive anyone crazy.

Megat ...is that you?

For the first time Megat raced about the house ...PLAYING! by himself ! He created a great deal of interest in Tanaka and Bujang was so shocked that he took to hiding under the table. This Megat is full of surprises!

Sun day on Sunday

The afternoon is slow san. I don't see anybody outside the window but fanks fur opening the windows. The breeze is rather nice.

Finally...

san's bb is back. I fink we all have to watch the light box now...

Water water everywhere...

but I love my cat-it best of all...

Finally....I got him on camera. he has been drinking from this Cat-it 3 days after I set it up. The amigos, apart from Bujang, now prefer this one to the rest. I think its because it is taller and they don't have to bend down much to drink from it. This is especially good for Megat.

One word Sunday

oohh...
