He ain't heavy...he's my father....

I suspect this is Bujang's father as he has been hanging around the siamese cat that is Bujang's mother for years. They are a bonded pair. I finally got a few pictures of him walking as he is an elusive cat and I think that is why he is still unneutered. I have been looking for him for as long as I have been in the new premises.

A close-up of ole dad...

The pair is still in the school although they had made themselves scarce. However, we usually see cat poo on Monday when we get to work. I was telling the teachers that the premises have been empty for 2 years and so the cats need to get used to it. Bujang's father is small, like Toro. I was thinking Bujang is 1.5 times larger than his farther but this is to be expected as Bujang is an indoor cat with ready food supply and his father is a community cat. His father's tail is long but his is kinked. I do not know if this messes up my suspicions though :)

Huh!!! My father? I dunno what that means...
Doesn't Bujang look like his father though?

Bujang is a flower lover unlike his father who is too busy trying to make a living!

Gift

Wah...mysterious brown package...from Singapore :)

Bujang was sure that it belonged to him...

and indeed he was right :) Thanks aunty_p....for my asap grass...

We got some asap grass from kind aunty_p. I tried to read the instrcutions but of course it was in Chinese :) Aunty_p very kindly gave me some instructions that would guarantee juicy grass like what Coco has. The grass eater Bujang and his sidekick Akira would be pleased :)

Rocket Tanaka taking the breeze

Where is this Rocket?

What's all these smells...hmmm..hmmm

I am afraid...can we go home?

I am The Rocket...I am brave..a little bit...

But san...what is that sound?

I think its time I lay low...

Bujang looking at The Rocket from under the ixora...

I thought that it was time Tanaka went Outside with Bujang. I was glad that Cousin R came to the house much earlier than usual and with her help, we brought both Bujang and Tanaka with us. At first Tanaka was nervous, preferring to be near his carrier but I brought him to the grass and he took to it quite soon. There was a time where he was frightened but that was because the kids came home from school and rushed and screamed the park down! After a few minutes, he calmed down and lay low, craning his neck gingerly when he heard sounds and noises. Bujang was no help as he was absorbed with eating grass and smelling the ixora. He also re-discovered his love of watching the neighbourhood kids play football. We were out for 30 minutes by which time it was 6.20 pm and time to go home for dinner. I think all of us had a nice day out this evening.

Sleepy amigos on sunday :)

Ok. Maybe not Ms Akira. Here she is investigating the house at 11.25 pm after I have put Megat to bed. She would then make one round of the house to see that all is safe before she is satisfied enough to go to bed...without complaints.

Its the same story every Sunday for the amigo house. I had better get some sleep for tomorrow myself :)
Btw I watched the Singapore short story on Arts Central today about a senior inspector of the TC. It was funny and sad at the same time. It had to do with 2 neighbours feuding about their pet dogs and the trials of the TC inspector. It opened my eyes quite a bit and I really enjoyed this short story. I don't remember what's it called though. :) Its a pity my mind is like a sieve cos the story is very good and rather romantic in the end.

I am an athlete...all 6.5 kg of me...

Finally, I get this back...

Kick it~

Bite it~

Lose it~

Oooh...I'm much too sleepy after the park...

Zzzz....
Bujang discovered that he had a lot of energy after the park and found his old toy under the chair, where Tanaka had kicked it. He had quite a game by himself and wore himself out. :)

Tanaka's morning routine

Let me go grandma...

This morning, Tanaka sat with grandma for a bit. This has become his usual morning routine as before I go to work, I would usually put him on grandma's lap where he would just hang out for about 5 minutes :)

Saturday in the park

Bujang sniffing the air for signs of danger...

and we sit, sit here...

and we smell the ixora there...

okay, we also ate some grass...

The park is very clean san, not like before...
But I prefer the shade please...

This is the first time this year that we had gone to the park. I had wanted to bring him to the park before this but it had been raining for quite some time. So since I was not working this Saturday, I decided to bundle him out and wheel him to his favourite ixora park.
Bujang protested for a bit in the lift but I think that was because he didn't know we where we were going as we had not been going to the ixora park for half a year. However, when he saw that I was just wheeling him some place, he kept quiet and relaxed. When we reached the park, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was very clean and quiet. Bujang was at first nervous and sat near his carrier but later he walked to his favourite ixora and took a sniff, ate some grass, lay under the sun and hid in the shade. Then Bujang had an adventure :)

The Host with the most...

Tiger Kitty with tipped ear- winner of the Perfect Host category in the Community Cat circle...

A man and a boy feeding Tiger Kitty...

This father and son team fed Tiger Kitty with a can of Fancy Feast (I saw this tin as his son held it when coming to see Bujang in the park). When I saw him from where I was, I watched to see what would happen and I was glad to see that they cleaned up the area after they had fed her. Then they cycled away and I saw Tiger Kitty coming after them. The father saw us and told his son about Bujang in his harness and leash. The son came to take a peek at Bujang but we didn't say anything to each other.

Tiger Kitty spotted us and decided to welcome us to her home :)

She took a sniff at the ixora and smelled Bujang I guess...

Some views of this perfect kitty...

She has a very beautiful coat...

Tiger Kitty taking a break with us...

Tiger Kitty was very friendly. Actually she came to sit with me quite naturally, several times after she did her rounds of the park. She was unafraid and I think she is used to human beings as she actually made a decision to sit with Bujang and I several times. She even licked my hands in greeting. She was also rather chubby so I know someone is taking good care of her, although I do not think the man is her caregiver. I think the man and his son are one of the people who feed her but not the actual one who takes care of her welfare. I dunno why I feel that this must be the case though. Its weird.

Lets be friends...

Bujang was horrified when he saw Tiger Kitty coming towards him...

Tiger Kitty, calmly trying to tell Bujang that she is not dangerous...

Bujang, afraid, hissed at his host...aiyoh...

Bujang trying to escape notice but Tiger Kitty was not deterred by poor manners...

Tiger Kitty on his scent...

Bujang spent much of his 2 hours in the park under cover...

Tiger Kitty was not afraid of anyone or anything. When she saw Bujang, she very calmly decided to welcome him to her home. She did all that a sane host would do, she greeted him calmly, she did not bare her teeth nor raise her hackles, she walked towards him steadily and when he showed that he was nervous, she stood back and waited. What else can one ask from such a perfect host? Nothing...

Watcha doin?

Tiger Kitty investigating me...

This smells funny...

Ooh this is too boring...

Tiger Kitty came close to hang out with me for a bit. She is very friendly and extremely calm. This very confident kitty sat with the two of us for about 2 hours, on and off, since she has a whole park to see to :) I was quite surprised at how confident she was and was glad for some company under the sun.

I'm too sexy for my harness

The model complete with jazzy rhinestoned collar and pink bell...
accessorize, accessorize, accessorize...

Too much?

A close-up of the spiffy harness - black stripes on orange fur..grrrr...

Can you get this off me now? Have you had enough san?

The tired model catching some shut eye before his next engagement...

Aunty_p came by today to return this harness to the amigos as it didn't fit Coco all that well. I decided to try to put The Rocket in it as it was just lying there on the table. Tanaka did not protest and allowed me to put the harness on him. It is of course too big for the little guy and I had to wind it around him pretty tightly. He looked quite cute in it. I think its because he is ginger and he looks like a little tiger :)
It's also good for his harness training as I know that he would take a walking jacket quite well. Btw aunty_p, IKEA has a figure 8 black harness with rhinestones. Maybe Coco would like it :)
