I do not like vets!Megat went to the vet today for his one month review. I got his urine last night really and did not put it in the fridge. The vet said in that case the rsults might not be very accurate but she would do the urine test anyway. She then told me that urine should be brought to be tested in 4 hours of my taking it. HUH!! No one told me this before.
Taking urine from megat was not as diffiucult as I thought it would be. I had been reducing his litter in his own personal bin in his night cage so finally yesterday there was no litter. When I came back from Balestier, at about 1030 pm there was already urine in the bin. So I guess it won't be difficult to get the next urine sample. Anyway she found more white blood cells in his urine sample. He has to take clavamox, an antibiotic twice a day.
He is no more dehydrated although the vet recommended that I continue with the sub q for him once a week for another 2months. He has to be brought in for review then too.
He has to have weekly injections (apart from the sub q) of Eprex 1000 under his skin for his blood cells.
Poor Megat!
