Vaccination news

Tanaka getting a little sleepy after dinner and vaccination...of course
he was waiting for Ms Akira to come out of the red room...

4.8 kg! The vet gasped at the horror of it. He was 3.95kg in May when he was neutered and in 6 months, he became a giant. "He should really be 4 kg," the vet smiled to soften his criticism. "He could get diabetes if he is overweight." I promised to feed him less and away from the amigos as he sometimes steals their food. Sometimes when Cousin R is helping me with the amigos, she would also give him a second helping when he looks at her wistfully. So now, after hearing the vet's announcement of how fat he is, we are determined to help him....err...of course we are. Its going to be difficult in a multi-cat household.

Meanwhile, in the red room...

1st I jump here...

then get on top of here....

and finally stop here for sniff...

She took her jab as bravely as she could, while trembling all the time. Her temp was 39.4 and the vet said this could be due to the fact that she was truly afraid of being at the vet's. This was the 2nd time she was at the vet this year. The 1st time she went because of vomitting but now she hardly ever vomits, only once or twice in 6 months. She is eating the Orijen well also. She is now asleep on top of the cupboard.
None of them show symptoms of fever...yet.

    I agree annual check-up is a must.
However, there are varying opinions on yearly vaccinations. Read up on websites whether indoor cats shd be vaccinated yearly or not?

If your cat develops a lump on the vaccination site, then it definitely needs careful review.
