Cal's resting place

Cal's ashes came in white and blue china...
We buried her ashes here and I hope the grass would grow over it...

This is the big tree that the old aunty had chosen to bury her ashes under...

We did not have the chance to meet the old aunty to tell her of the burial but she came down anyway at the time where we would usually feed the WildBunch. She was very quiet when she saw the urn and then she made a choice of the tree. Its a pretty tall tree and we can see it from far away.

There were four of us. Cousin R and I and the old aunty and her good friend. After we buried the ashes, her friend asked us if we had brought an offering. When we told her we didn't bring any, she said she would get some milk to pour over the site. The old aunty cried a little after the burial but she said Cal would be happy where she was now.

It was a small private service and I think it was a closure for every one of us.

It is a very good resting place for Cal. She will spend much time there scaling the tree, scratching it, and having fun with the birds nesting there.
