Perhaps it is territorial. A crow (probably with a nest close by) thinks it shd keep our street "safe". When i walk my dog, it would swop right past brushing my hair at the back of head to frighten me. It does that to joggers too. Fortunately nobody seem to mind. I wld say hello when it shrieks on a tree.
I noticed that some birds get very aggressive when they see a cat.
ReplyDeleteThey shriek and flap their wings and swop down on the cat.
Quite amazing.

Well thank goodness these mynahs were mild and just chattered together. I wouldn't like one to swoop at the back of my head!!! Aiyoh!
ReplyDeleteI agree, mynahs are mild, friendly & intelligent. But if they are protecting their young (like cats), they may be defensive.
ReplyDeleteThe swooping has stopped so would like to believe the babies have grown&gone ;) No need to wash hair.
