Steve Irwin

This is how I will always remember Steve Irwin of Crocodile Hunter fame - his love for the croc is unparallelled. I also remembered the tears he shed when he had to bury one of his crocodiles and the great joy he showed when he was in one of his crocodile hunter episodes.

I heard the news of his death in a cab when I was coming home from a mass lecture. I think the news of his death touched me more than anything I had heard in the 4-hour lecture today. I thought immediately of his daughter who wanted to be the 'boss' of the australia zoo, his son and his wife.

He had such a love for animals and he was not ashamed to put his message across.

I will miss seeing him.
