All this rain!

 I was a little nervous this morning as suddenly there were loud sounds outside. When I was little..r, I was outside and had to find somewhere to hide because of the loud sounds and rain. San said thunder and rain were all outside and I was inside so I would be safe. The important thing was to stay warm and perhaps have a nice nap. I told san, “OK san. I trust you’re telling me the truf…’ 

It’s the weather …

 It rained all of yesterday and sky spent the majority of the time  curled up in bed. I gave Bujang’s heating pad away when he passed and so had nothing warm for her. I found  a little fleece rug for her but she preferred resting on just the bedsheet. I was a little worried as she looked so small without her thick fur. The first few days in January had been a little cold because of the rain though. However the hot season will follow quite soon and she would not be so cold. The hot weather in Singapore will also be  humid. A bad situation for cats with long hair.

MM: The reason I sit here is I trick san into thinking I’m going to eat the plants. It’s a fun shenanigan. But the truth is so I can watch teevee. Hahahaha
 

Friday Gratitude post

We, Just3Cats thought that we would put up two pictures that gave san a lot of hope that we would get better living with each other abd joy just in those moments. 

MM: I decided to sit with san for a minute or two yesterday. That was the first time I made the decision to do something like that. It wasn’t so bad. She didn’t try to clean my face so I thought I would try that again. I did it again this morning. And again it was not too bad. 

S: I thought I should show Momo that I was able to sit with her without having to beat her into playing. I did that and she stayed in her perch. Success!

M: When Sky was still, I was not too afraid. SAN said that Sky was just trying to play with me and that Sky had been very patient and friendly. I am still wary though as Sky is so much bigger than me.

Manju is always trying to get Sky to play but she frequently ignores him. It's because he is still in the ‘bitey’ stage. But he is always hopeful. 

MM: Let’s play Sky...err...big sister …errr…Ms BOSS.

Really san? Now?

 Mizu Manju (MM) was feeling very lazy as this morning the house woke up in the very early hours of the morning. He was not used to it and wanted to sleep some more. He had an eventful night because I decided perhaps Momo can sleep with us but it didn’t go so well. He spent a large part of that time comforting Momo while Sky sulked under the cupboard. It’s back to the drawing board for Just3Cats and me. 

Thoughts on 1 January 2024

 This morning I looked out the window to see the new day. It did not seem different from the ‘yesterday’ day. I wondered what the fuss was all about. Then I heard the birdsong and heard san and my sisters going about their business. I thought the special thing today was not outside my house but it was inside. Of cos I am just 8 coming to 9. I told san the lesson was ‘Live today wisely ( read eat and play)’ and be kind to your sisters and especially san. I am also pleased to be the first one in this blog to greet 1st January 2024. ‘Hello 2024. Don’t get up to no good shenanigans!’

The last day of 2023

We are Just3Cats. It is the name that san gave us. San said we should try to think about what we will work towards for next year which will begin tomorrow. So we thought really hard for our list. 

MM: I will try to eat only enough and not push my way to eat my sisters’ food as well. In that way I think san will allow me to eat together  with my sisters n the kitchen. 

M: I will try to be less of a princess. I will not meow at the top of my voice at night. Also I will try to be friends with Sky who has been trying to play with me. 

S: I will try to relax for a bit. Sometimes cats just don’t get along and won’t play with each other san. I can play with Manju who loves me. Maybe the princess is just too sensitive. 

Sometimes …

S:  boys are just silly san. Who does he think he is?

san: I think he knows he’s a cat . You guys think you’re people! 

Momo: What? I am a cat? What’s  that?

Manju: Wheeeeeeeeeee…
