Home Sweet Home

Megat also like sitting with grandma...but a little further apart...
Tanaka has taken to sitting closer to us these days, eversince grandma left for hospital. Now that she is back, he sits a little further but close enough. Sis S remarked that Tanaka is not as chummy with us as the other cats, preferring to sit by himself and doing his own things but coming to us when he feels like some company. I just think he is the most confident and knows that his family will be baout when he needs them :) But he loves Cousin R and would rush to the gate when he hears her footsteps. I think its because she does whatveer he tells her like giving him as many scritches as he wants before she even steps into the house!

The rare formation of boys at the door. This usually happens when the whole house is darkened and the only light is from the corridor. :)

Megat's long-suffering look at the meds that he needs to take and Tanaka's obvious interest in what is happening around him. He looks on just like this when Toro takes meds too.

Ms Akira's new routine

Ms Akira trying for the perfect fit...

This whole week, Ms Akira showed me that she was very eager to get back into the swim of things, to get back her mojo as they say. She figured out that as Megat was out of the room almost the whole day (he has taken to roosting in the cat basket in the living room), the coast was practically clear for her. She came in confidently almost daily and sat on the cat tree so she could see the outside. She spent a few minutes talking with Bujang about the old days and tried the seat for old times sake.

She has also taken to hiding under the blanket on the bed - her old hiding place before the Great Quarrel. I am glad she is getting her confidence back. I think the Rescue Remedy helped a bit and of course we gave her a lot of encouragement and allowed her to just be herself.

Let me get comfortable here...

Ok...now this is the right spot...

Oh..me and my shadow....

She likes sitting infront of the front door when we open it in the mornings. Its cool and quiet then.

Portable Pet Home

Ok..the viewing is over...thanks...

I'll wait for you to finish testing the home Bujang...

I just feel like biting it..dunno why...

Grandma told me before I give Ms Akira's cage away, I should let Megat try it as his carrier is getting too small for him. So we did. Megat hated every bit of the experience and wailed the whole night away. He refused to eat his night snack and breakfast. He was terrified of being in the cage. I think its because after his closed and comfortable carrier, the cage made him vulnerable to everyone, without a hiding place.
So this morning I had to go find him something that would allow him space to stand on fours and also allow him to sprawl if he wants to. In addition, it must be covered up so that he would be invisble to the public eye :)
So I got his medium portable pet home in marroon. The 2 boys liked it alot and Toro decided for some strange reason to teach the home a lesson by biting at the mesh! Thank goodnes he is not as destructive as Bujang can be. Bujang spent some time lazing inside the home, as if to test it for durability. Megat of course ran 1000 miles away from his home but I'm sure he would like this much better especially after we pt his stuff in it.
