National Day Colours

We celebrate our 51st birthday today in red and white. Akira is not able to wear her collar as she still needs her cool collar. Happy birthday Singapore!

Our national day collars. The big red flower was supposed to have been Popps but she didn't like it much. We think San was crazy to have bought it as well as its as big as Popps's head. 

Phew! One over

Yesterday was quiet hectic with guests. Megat knew it was going to be a long way and began the day with a whiff of wheatgrass. He was a very good host and made an appearance every time there was a new wave if guests until

I had to put him in my bedroom to rest. 

He even allowed one of our guests to carry him and cuddle him. He sat quietly while the guests kissed him and spoke to him. :)))

Then he even ate a whole dinner by himself. 

He ate more than he has eaten these many days. I think it may be it was the cheer and the noise. It made him hungry. 

Tanaka of cos spent his day being admired for his energy and his bright colour. He was quite exhausted from it all

It's National day and we have one more day relaxing :)) enough to make up for the hectic time we had yesterday.

I dun care for parades. They are furry noisy...

No san. I don't see any parades...

No san. I dun believe the black cat. I hear some rumbles...yes, even on top of the cupboard..

I dun really care fur parades. Wake me up when dinner is here.

The amigos are all well and thriving on Monday. It is a holiday which makes it the best kind of Monday :) Toro ate his meds this morning with little fuss and then had some Walthams kibble. he smelt the canned food that the rest was having but didn't eat any. Its going to be a bright evening and the National Day Parade should fine ...although I have not heard if there was going to be a parade at all. But grandma knows these things and she is eager to watch it on TV.

I see TheSundayTimes actually had a small article about us in the papers today. Its about time too to write about community cats in a good light. I am also proud that there are people who will take care of kitties who have yet to find furrever homes, unlike me. I wonder how many more offur us will get furrever homes this year....

Megat's wishes

I would like to say Happy National Day to Singapore and hope that one day, we catfolk would be allowed to live with the people who love us and whom we love. We are peaceful creatures who like nothing better than a tin of tuna (many tins actually) and a place in the sun, even a small space is enough. I also to wish the people who are working very hard on our behalf with the Town Council, caregivers and mediators a good National Day too. Errr..on that note, I would like to tell san - no hard feelings about the scratch incident on friday.okie...okie...

Yes I am furry pet-riotic...

Tomorrow is all our purrsady - Singapore's purrsday in fact. I feel furry generous eventhough many times some Singaporeans are not so generous wif my kind- sending us away to terrible places. However todaySister N and Cousin R bought grandma a Singapore flag, as grandma asked fur it, to hang outside offur our house. So wif one heart regardless of race, (offur cats) language (the cat's meow) and religion (tuna and more offur that) we amigos wish Singapore - Happy 44 purrsday eh...
