Thanks for the good thoughts

I am a little better and this morning I made san open 3 tins of stinky goodness while I made my choice. I finally had some Sumo Cat Chicken and Tuna but only the chicken part. I ate just a little. I know san is a little worried as i have lost weight from 4.56 to 3.85 kg.

But on the good side I do not have fever anymore and last night I slept in my own bed instead of on san's. san said to me 'you warm my heart Megat.' Some beans are funny that way :)

Monday Note about Sunday

Finally I found blogpress which allows me to blog in much the same way as I do on my computer

Yes san took this pic of me yesterday afternoon. I spent much of the time whiling away the time like this ...

and this...

and of course a major part of the time was spent like this ...

But like the careful cat that I was, I slept with one eye open. My brothers were in san's room but you can't be too careful.

Many Thanks Monday

Really?

We are really thankful for many fings. First we thank san fur the Butterflier Cat Dancer, our now favourite toy. Then we fank san fur our new water fountain which came all the way from the US of A. I have not drunk from it but this morning san saw Megat drinking from under the falling water! Although Ms Akira has continued to re-groom her self again, san finks it is good that Ms Akira is her lap cat (cos we boys dun do that...no siree). san will be going back to the doctor to see if there is nother cause like hormones!

Furry impawtantly, san is thankful that our good friend cat_aunty is okay and that Hat is doing furry well. His paw is healing nicely.

All in all, we are having a furry thankful Monday :))

Monday Hide and Seek

zzz....

The amigos favourite hiding place when all the curtains are drawn. I am glad we are able to offer them this very private space as it allows them the quiet for afternoon naps :)

Monday with Ms Akira

Ms Akira likes watching the world from as far away as possible. The pink mattress is where she spends most of her time under.
Resting on san's lap.
Ms Akira grooming at her new cat tree...

She sits here often at the open window to see what's going on...

I got Ms Akira a new cat tree that she can use to sit and look outside although this part of the corridor is rather boring. But as she is a quiet cat, more often than not, she would be able to spy on the outside quite safely and she can sprint down or up at the slightest noise. She also likes sitting on the tree that is on the far wall, opposite the window :)

New box fur old...

Today san did something nice fur us - finally. We had told her many times that we needed a new one. This evening, when she came home from feeding the outside kitties, she brought us a purresent.
We were thrilled. It smelled very good and had many scents. san said she got it from the convenience store - the local 7-11. We inspected it of course. We had give the okay as it was our box!
I even went inside for good measure and scratched it a little. It was furry good!
Finally san finished cutting it up and she put our old scratch box in it. It had a lot of room.
I tested it and told san it PASSED! She was furry pleased :)
This was our old box, all bitten by Bujang. I fear our new one would go the same way but at least we would get a lot of play out of it first! Some times san has good ideas and we are proud offur her!

What a racket!

The kitties are constantly shocked at the racket from the P** van asking us to vote. They are here about three times a day. But I was told by Cousin R that where she is, they are there constantly, spekaing through phones and loud hailers. Vote P** they say.

Hrumphhhh we say. Too much noise for us. We are voting candidate Tanaka from the Fish Party. he promised us treats although we think he would ask san for some ..hahaha

Surely you DON'T expect the macarena!

Can you see my eyes? I can see YOU san...
Hmmm...6.25 am. There is nothing out there san...

Nuffing! Nuffing to do!

Talk to the tail! I really must protest the morning meds!
I took some pics of the boys before work and they were all just hanging out, each doing his won thing :) I think everyone was waiting for something to happen ...probably the next nap time :)

Finally Fixed

Bujang: I am fixed already!!
san's memory card got corrupted so she could not take any new pikshurs for a long time. We were all happy as we got to r_e_s_t but yesterday she boughted a new one and so she was busy clicking pikshurs but we were just resting on Sunday and she didn't have anything new...hahaha.
san brought this new box for us to rest in but I decided to take charge of decorating the box. I think this is better. It is definitely much easier to rest in. I am BOSS so I know what's what! I am san's great helper :)

Vet Visit

zzz...what is the fuss san?

It happened to us AGAIN. We went to the hospital and we still can't get the ionised calcium reading as the hospital ran out of the cartridge that they would need to do the reading- 2 weeks ago! Did no one check when they made the appointment for us? But the blood for the pth was done - all 6 cm of it from his jugular and Dr Lee said we could use his calcium reading from before to make some conclusions as to why the blood calcium reading is high. They are sending the blood sample to QUEST, the organisation that would do the test and they only do this test once a week. The results will come back in 3 days.
The bald patch on Toro's back

Dr Lee said the patch could be because of the Frontline I had used on him and this seems to be something that happens quite often to pets. I usually use Revolution but decided to change to Frontline this year. Bujang and Tanaka did not have such changes in their fur though so I guess it would affect only some cats. Cousin R reminded me that Putih had this same effect last year but her fur grew quite well after a week or so. So no more Frontline I guess for the amigos. I have yet to put any on Ms Akira or Megat so would buy Revolution for the both of them instead. Ms Akira has been scratching her head for a few weeks. I wonder if any other kitty had this type of reaction with Frontline.

PS
The vet gave us Silva Aloe Panalog - a cream that I have to use on this spot as well as on the part where he has a rash on his underside. She also gave us Auraclens to clean the irritated area. I must say they both work well as this morning, the rash on his underside was not so red.

Bujang Outside

Bujang resting on our new couch. There is already a white mark on it, made by yours truly himself.
The evening was very cool and the colours much brighter. I was very pleased to be able to bring Bujang downstairs two days in a row as the corridor although nice was not very challenging or him.
He sat on the cool grass looking at birds...
I saw a nice pigeon feather which I decided to leave well alone. I remembered once Cousin R brought the amigos a large feather and they played with it, only for me to find the hard part in Bujang's vomit! I knew it was Bujang as it had some grass in it. He had eaten the feather! It was a lucky thing that he had then vomitted the whole thing out.
Bujang sniffed at me for good measure. I'm sure the vet clinic smells were vastly different from grass!
He also trampled on some sticks and peered at a child going home from school.
Then he saw a small snail but it didn't hold his attention for very long. By then school was out and there were many students running and yelling home so we decided to make a quick getaway ourselves :) It was a good day out even so.

Night Walk

Bujang decided that he wanted to walk last night and so I brought him to walk along the corridor as I know he would not like walking downstairs. We had tried night walks before without much success but I know he knows the corridor well and so would not be frightened.
As usual, the gardener inside him came out in full force :)
He also inspected the neighbour's bicycle for evidence of having been ridden into strange territories...
He made a thorough inspection of the lift landing. We got into some trouble here as he was interested in the staircase in front of one of the flats and being a cat, he was also interested to see what was happening in other people's flats. As this neighbour's flat was right infront of the public staircase and public space, it was in our line of sight. The mother came to the door and eye-balled us but she didn't ask us anything. I did not know how to react so I just looked at her briefly and then Bujang decided to walk down the stairs and away. I think if she could she would have run us out but THAT is the price you pay for choosing such a flat that is in such a public space. The I had a thought that she might complain about us but as my cat was harnessed, we were not a public nuisance but I guess it would be wiser to avoid her!
Tanaka: I want to walk too...when? when?
Bujang could not be bothered by such antics and ignored him. I did not bring Tanaka out as it was too late to be out walking by then. Maybe today.

Finally News

We are sorry we have been MIA for a long time. Work and hospital have taken up much of our time but by Friday, we should be able to blog much more frequently as grandma will be back from hospital.
I have been a nice kitty and not given san much trouble. Do not let san tell you that I tried to bully Toro all the time. I was just trying to be friendly and to convince him to stand up for himself instead of making san save him all the time. But he does not listen to me and insists on doing his own thing :)
On a personal front, I had coughed twice this month. The last time was on Saturday and san was very worried. But I tried to butt her hand to tell her its okay. We then sat together to watch TV. I like the quiet times with san and my bruffer Toro although I don't think he likes me all that much.
See? We are bruffers after all.

Toro on Monday

No. I do not like the little pills...the green one, the yellow one, the big ones. I am a CAT! We don't take pills!
We sleep in cute poses...

We hide behind curtains...

We think of taking naps. We are CATS!

I have been taking him to the clinic for the SubQ training sessions 4 days in a row. The nurses said he takes everything well, even the SubQ. Yesterday Dr Loon did the SubQ and he sat in his carrier very quietly. he evn ate his meds without a sound. Dr L gave him some water so the pills would not get stuck and tickle his throat. Then in less than 10 minutes, we were out of there.

I have to do the whole thing myself with Cousin R's help today as the clinic doesn't open on a public holiday. Dr L said I could go to Balestier but I don't think so. We will try the whole thing ourselves.
