Grrrrr....grooming

Stranger: Your cat is beautiful
san: Thank you
Stranger: How much?
san: Eh?
Stranger: You buy? How much? $1000.00!
san: He's adopted. Someone gave him up.
Stranger: Ohhhhh....(said something in Chinese and walked off)
Toro: What she say eh? Where is she?
Toro after his grooming session. The fur is just under 1/2 inch. The groomer took 1.5 hours to do it. Toro:Yesh..I deserve some love...more please...
Toro: Did I say stop?
Yes, he is fat under the coat. But once he came home, he lay on the floor and rested. He looked cool which was nice as the days are getting hotter!

May Day Clean Up

Totoro: I was not pleased san broughted me to the groomer yesterday. She was furry EVIL!
But I knew she would do whatever I said because she feels B_A_D about making me go to Felicia. So I made her groom me over and over and over and brush my fur again and again.

The day ended furry well as I got furry sleepy and the had agood nap.

Toro was a little tired and as soon as we got home from the groomer yesterday. He cleaned himself up, asked for many scritches as a reward for behaving very well and promtly fell asleep. he only woke up for dinner at about 6 and then slept again on the couch after that. He didn't even wake up when grandma tapped him on the head!

I made an appointment for Bujang for Monday. I warned Felicia that he was much heaveir at 7.3 kg and his nails were very long and sharp. Undaunted Felicia said that if she could not cut his nails, at least she could give him a bath. I said ok as Bujang has not been given a bath for about 2 years. I hoped thinsg would go well.

Before and After

Before...
After...
Meditations...

Toro went for his grooming session and got himself a 0.5 inch buzz. That seemed the best way to deal with the heat. When we arrived at the groomers at about 10.30 am, there were already 2 cats, 2 persians, with their fur trimmed short, all ready to be picked up. Then it was Toro's turn - 0.5 inch all round and 'do not cut his whiskers please', trim his underside and his neaten his tail.

He was very good at the groomers as always and endured all the indignities patiently - the trim, the bath, the blow-dry and the trimming. He turned around and lifted his arms and endured the trimming of his stomach fur. Indeed he was an excellent customer and the groomer always remembers his full name ' Totoro'.

When I came to pick him up, another Persian cat was on the table, getting a buzz cut. It was a cat day at the groomers today:)

Sunday Unveiling

Ok san. You can take my pikshur if you want...

Lets get it going...I'm getting sleepy from all this...

zzz....

Toro is looking very neat and young in his new haircut. I had to tell the groomer to trim him close. We had a small discusion as to what close meant- to shave or not to shave. One of his groomers -Olay (I heard him tell me that that was his name) asked me if I liked the way he looked before. It seemed that this cut is called NO. 5. The only downside is I had told him not to cut the fur on his head but as you can see from the pic, he had an all-over No 5 cut. I was concerned that grandma would be upset with the cut but she didn't say anything about it other than he seemed to be very 'proud' and would not sit with her now that he has had anew haircut :)
