Our Deepavalli Blessing

Tanaka is our Deepavalli blessing and as today is Deepavalli, I thought its good to show him...
He began the day as usual...at a window so he could see everything that is happening...from above :)

This was what he looked like when he was little and undergoing leash training :) Today he walks on a leash very confidently...but only on concrete. He would refuse to walk on grass!

Some older pictures of the Rocket that I had posted some time ago but I thought since he looked very good in them, we should see him again :)

Wednesday Surprise

I really dunno san. I was minding my own business. You said I should do that more often. I dunno how it happened...

These two boys were actually sitting together, on the same blanket and neither was on red alert...just a little wary but no boxing!

Hmmm...enjoy it while it lasts san. This would not happen again for sure...

Silence is golden

Bujang: I was very glad that there are no more blaring messages around our neighbourhood. san says polling day is over and we have the results. san seems very pleased with it. So we spent the weekend just lazing about and sleeping the hot days in the ac :) I wonder what tomorrow will bring me...I hope some walkies if it doesn't rain in the evening.

WROAR!!

You cannot prevent me from finding a way up the cages! WHAHAHAHA

And so The Rocket did it again - all by himself. I had closed the doors to the cat cages and Tanaka decided with one smooth jump up the cupboard (that was beside the cage) that it didn't bother him. So with 2 smooth jumps, he found that his nap time would remain uninterrupted :)

Bujang my cat

has a very short attention span as can be seen in our Wednesday video. This also shows he was not much interested in chasing after pigeons but sees them as objects of short interest. The most interesting thing here is how Bujang has learnt not to get tangled up in the leash when he turns around :)

When I see them sitting quietly together, I sometimes wonder why I ever had 5 as Ms Akira does not like any other cat but Bujang. When she first came, Bujang was about 6 months old and she, a mere 4 month old kitty and so they spent quite a long time together, playing and grooming. It was only when Bujang was about 1.5 years old, that I had Totoro with me and from then on, Ms Akira decided to wage war on him as he was himself a rather naughty kitty, running after her all the time.

Now Ms Akira spends most of her time in the computer room by herself as she allows no one but Bujang to come in. She does come out sometimes when we put all the boys in the room in the afternoons so she could get a breather and of course every night at ten, when all the boys are preparing for bed.

But I have 5 cats now and I love each one dearly :) If only I can find a way to stop Tanaka from being so inquisitive, everything would be much calmer in her world :)

Rainy Wednesday saved Toro from being hauled to the groomers. I put out the carrier and immediately Tanaka stepped into it and took a nap :) Toro was blissfully unaware of the fact that it was actually for him and spent his time napping in the rather cool Wednesday afternoon. But Friday is only two days away...

Wednesday tales...

Toro resting after his 1.5 hour grooming at PL. It was a nice surprise for us when there were only 2 rabbits at the groomers. When Toro's groomer saw us, he immediately set to work and for the 1st time in many months I was able to see the whole process from beginning to end. He basically had the same haircut as the last time and I was pleased that he behaved himself throughout the whole process. He even sat quietly at his station when his groomer had to answer the phone. The only thing he didn't like was the blow dryer and he tried to escape several times.

Tanaka was watching the new curtains being blown by the wind. It quite captured his imagination and he sat here for some time until I decided to tie it up :)

Wednesday adventures

Sister N came to see grandma today and she decided to help grandma with some housework. Then CRASH!! grandma's lamp fell from the ceiling. I then helped grandma and Sister N to clear things up. I am now soooo tired. Time to rest....

I fink I should tell you how san tortured me so wif her camera. It got too much for me so I decided to take matters into my own hands...I'm sure you would agree wif me too...
I decided to hide from the camera...so I did it slowly. I thot I should give san some help wif the blog but I needed to rest also...
