All ready for HR

Megat showing me how grooming is done...
Collar Inspection!
...NO! Not the pink one san. That is not fur me...

Megat sat and looked at the hari raya collars for some time, probably making a choice of his favourite one. The smallest one is the white one and obviously that is the only choice. He is getting smaller and thinner, especially after his one week fever where he ate hardly anything at all. Even his red studded collar had to be adjusted to accomodate this :(

Restful times in between guests

Lalala...

hmmm...hmmm...hmmm...

zzzzz....

The amigos were able to rest in between visits which kept them all in good humour. We also managed to get some rest to make more tea, refill the kueh-kueh and have short naps before the whole cycle begins again. We wil be expecting visitors for a frew more days and then all will be as usual, much to our relief.

Hari Raya...

Time to rest after Hari Raya frenzy...

Hmmm...what is this?

The amigos behaved very well indeed during the Hari Raya period, particularly Tanaka. He welcomed all the guests, walked among them and did not mind when they petted him, took pictures with anyone who asked him and generally observed general human behaviour. Bujang was as usual in his element and saw the guests to the door. Megat sat in the basket at the cat tree and disppeared into the surrounding. The usual suspects who were missing were Toro and Ms Akira.

I was quite surprised how well they coped with the noise and the clatter. Yesterday even Toro and Ms Akira made a brief appearance before hiding out. I think the both of them saw that the guests were friendly and did not attempt (most of the time) to touch them.

However last night it all changed. They were scared by 2 small but very noisy guests who jumped and screamed and who attempted to kick them!! Bujang hissed (for the first time) at one of the boys and Tanaka scooted under the table immediately. I told both the boys off and got all the boys into the room to safety. It was the only nasty experience that they had all week. Thank goodness the time for visiting is almost over.

Eve of Hari Raya...

The boys tore round the house as there were so many freshly laundered things for Hari Raya...
Toro was quite interested to see all the goings on outside...
A very tired Toro, sleeping right infront of the AC...

Bujang decided to sleep on the bed as Tanaka had decided he would sleep in the sink...

Today, we made the final preparations for Hari Raya. I had cleaned the house and all the bins and grandma had changed all the cushion covers. The boys were very excited and raced all ove rthe house, jumping on top of tables and messing up grandma's carefully arranged cushiosn on the sofa. Then they stood watch at the door as there was a great deal of activity along the corridor.
They were so tired that they decided to sleep almost as soon as I entered the room. Poor things.
I had decided that I would blog all the happenings before going to bed. This is my last entry.
Goodnight and Selamat Hari Raya everyone :)

Peekaboo

Bujang's new observation tower...

Hmmm..let me make some notes...hmmmm

Bujang simply loves the new curtains whcih I had put up for Hari Raya. They're translucent so he can se us from behind them. He loves sitting on the cat tree, unobserved by us and just watching the goings-on. He sometimes even manages to surprise me a bit ...then I would make a great show of it, which pleases him :)

What will happen if...

Our pikshurs are crooked...

Grandma always likes her pictures straight. I think I'll help her...

...we leave the housekeeping to Bujang? I'm sure then all the pictures would get straightened out pronto :)

After the 1001 guests had gone...

Megat actually came out from his hiding place...

and can be seen lounging around on his fav hang-out bed...

Ms Akira decided that it was safe to show her face...

from under the covers...
she was still not convinced that everyone has left...yet..

Toro was seen on the coffee table trying to see if anyone has left him something...like
an ang pow kibble or treat...

He was even perky enough to brave the papers...

Toro did not have a good day on Hari raya with the guests since one or two actually followed him about the house. They did not mean to chase him but since he ran from them, they followed after him. I think he was a victim of his own handsome-ness :) I had to rescue him twice and I finally decided that no one else gets to see the very stanger-shy amigos.

Bujang getting his well-earned rest.

Zzzzz....

The only one who greetd the guests politely was Bujang. He put on his usual impeccable manners and greeted each round of guests carefully, giving full attention to everyone. He went out of the bedroom and walked among his guests. of course everyone who saw him was very impressed with his good manners. I think Bujang saved the day for everyone :)

Hari raya morning

So are they coming? Do we need to hide now?

Dunno Toro. I'll see ...

Hmmm... I don't see anyone..but wait a sec...

Let me see ...across..right..left..lalala..the lift!!

Okie...its only san with daun pandan to make tea...no fear Toro.
No one is here yet:)

Hari Raya bling

Its too red! Oww!
Toro doesn't take too well in his blue and white..its all too much...

I prefer my blue star! It makes my eyes blue-er :)

Owww...the diamonds would blind me!

I can do this anytime. I am a cat...

San gave us some bling to wear. It was better than wearing clothes. Clothes are fur people. We prefur fur- our own :) But the bling is very nice. San says we will wear them for 3 days only cos we prefur our usual collar and its much safur too.
San boughted the bling fur us last year. We wore ours last year also but Megat had to wait until this year October when he is not so skinny. Now that he is roly-poly, san thinks he won't fall down because of the weight. Hahahaha...
Btw, we wish all offur you Selamat Hari Raya...

Missed a spot!

Bujang inspecting the tikar...

Hmmmm.... I don't think san is serious about spring cleaning....
Bujang is the new cleanliness inspector in the house. He told me that I should be more careful when spring cleaning as the house needs to be spick and span. Grrrrr....

The post

These letters are all mine..yes they are...

This one is mine too..well ok, its for all of us kitties, even the wildbunch and cik mina and family....err..okie even for san and grandma...
Thanks cat_aunty for the hari raya wishes :)

Shopping at IKEA

No you can't see me but I can see you....

For hari raya, I thought I would go to IKEA to see if they have nice curtains for the house. I finally decided to get these - its off- white with some geometric designs. The amigos have taken to hiding behind them and peeping out at us, especially Bujang :)

Bujang investigating his new tent...

I think he quite liked it...

Bujang got on quite well in his new tent. I didn't get a cat tent as I didn't see any in IKEA. I thought of getting the amigos a new cat bed as the one they have is too small for all of them except Akira and the boys really like sleeping in that little cat bed by the window. I saw some nice big ones online but it would be too silly to get one as the shipping would cost more than the bed!

This tent is actually for a child to play in but I thought Bujang might like it and its in red - my favourite colour :)
