Run Free Rezki

My cat Rezki suffered from Feline Aortic Thromboembolism (FATE) early on 1st May 22. The vet said he had a heart murmur and his clot blocked the arteries at his hips. As a consequence his legs were disabled and he could not walk. He fell off the kitchen counter and dragged himself to the living room. He passed away soon after I brought him to the vet.
He was a cat full of shenanigans and grand plans of becoming boss. He became boss early this year and worked hard to take care of the others. He was only six years old, an ex-community kitty. He was a firecracker and was afraid of nothing.

Thanks to #1 for her very kind tribute and the nice lady at Meezers' Mews for this beautiful button.

A little note from Rezki, our gangsta boy from Chris, our ac.

He's sorry he left so sudden. He wants to make sure you are safe always. Though he cannot execute his major plan which he nv say what, he is glad to be part of the household. He will be joining the rest to look after the house.

Rez said that he wanted to his urn to be in the bedroom but his message was hijacked by his brother Totoro who said 'they all wanted to be inside, away from the sun but on a nice shelf but must be arranged nicely from first to last' So I decided to shift them all and now they are all together.

From left - Totoro, Megat, Akira, Poppy and Rezki. I am waiting for Rez's black cat to be here from China.

Rainbow brothers Thursday

As I was cleaning up my books this morning I came across this picture of Totoro. Here he was about 3 years old. Then when I took Bujang for a walk , he decided to sit I front of our house and I saw this.
                                Both of my rainbow kitties.
We both had a quiet time together outside. It was nice to be together.

Saturday Easy

I went out a little later this morning as it began raining from 5 am. San said we needed to wait a little. Once we were out I got to rest on the cool floor outside.

I also walked a little to see the little neighbour's garden and our very own

                                                            garden as well.
I visited my rainbow buffers this morning and saw that their gardens were clean and well-kept. I was furry glad fur that.
All in all I thought the corridor garden was up to scratch and as Head Snoopervisor, I was well-satisfied. I can now sit on top of my sisfur's Akira's cage and get a good rest.
Our morning went very well. I can now take a nap.

San: I decided that it was time we had a change of banner. It took us many months to decide to change the banner at all. But I had placed our old banner with all 5 of the amigos in the sidebar and that made it a little easier for us.

Saturday Easy

In this edition of our Saturday Easy post we have pictures of our rainbow brothers' jasmine plant. The plant has not been flowering for many months and to our surprise and delight, in this very hot month of March, the jasmine plant flowered again. The fragrant smell of jasmine is very soft and we can only smell it at night.

Last night I went out with san. The corridor is always lighted up at night all days of the week so in Singapore it is never truly dark at any time at all everything is brighter, even my harness. I went walking along the whole length of the corridor and san smelled jasmine.

This jasmine plant is right I front of our house. We were very surprised to see the tiny jasmine blossoms.

Our rainbow brothers' urns are under the two plants. The grey kitty marks Toro's urn and the fat white kitty marks Megat's.

In the morning, our corridor does not look so painfully bright. This morning eventhough the sun is out, our corridor garden protects us a little from the painful glare.

Bujang  was still rather impressed by the fragrant jasmine as are we all.

We are also very grateful that the jasmine is out as our rainbow brother Totoro had asked for fragrant water to be poured over his marker. Now he has all the fragrance of jasmine for himself.

                                             It's Saturday Easy day.

It's time to kick back, find some shade and relax.

Happy New Year Everyone

We give thanks today for many things.
We give thanks for a healthy family and that we can find help for ourselves when we need to. We give thanks for our blogger friends who had purred for us when we were ill and unwell. We are thankful that we have Fern and Laura who can tell san what is going on with us and so san can get us help as well and we know that not many pets have this type of help. We miss our Rainbow brothers but we know that they are happy at the Bridge and they come to see us when they need to.

We are even thankful for that spammer who had posted something in our post of 2007 as san went to see the post and saw this marvelous picture of our Rainbow brother Totoro.
This was taken in 2007 during Hari Raya when Toro had a rest in between guests. If it was not for the spammer, we would not had remembered this picture at all. We take it to mean that our Rainbow brother Toro wanted to wish every one of us a Happy New Year as well.
San feels that we should put a picture of our Rainbow brother Megat as well and one from a very long ago - Bujang and Akira when we were only two cats.
So from everyone here, we wish everybody a good 2014 ahead.
