Dr T suspected that Toro's calcium deposits could be because I fed the amigos on Nutro before the Nutro recall because of melamine poisoning.

Bujang's other set of audience...
This tri-colour was very curious but as its owner was in the balcony itself hanging clothes I was not too concerned...
This tuxedo was the very first cat that I saw from before. The people living here has 4 cats. There is another black cat living here and one orange and white cat. This cat and the black one are very fond of each other and can sometimes be seen grooming each other near the window.
Bujang is an object of curiosity for these cats from the 2nd floor. I remember the old aunty asking me if I had cat food to give to someone who lives on the 2nd floor some time ago. It seemed that the lady asked the aunty for some food and the aunty said she could not give the woman any of the canned food as it was for the wildbunch. But the aunty did ask me for some food and so I had given her some Nutro salmon whch she gave to the woman.

Finally Friday
FatBoy and Minah after breakfast...
This morning both fatBoy and Minah asked for breakfast at about 8.20 am. I gave Minah her share of orijen and before she ate her share, Fatboy asked me for his. She gave him a piece of her mind and I told FatBoy that he should wait as he was in her territory. He ate quite a lot of Orijen before he suddenly stood still and then darted away. I think he heard the call of his morning breakfast. He raced across the carpark without a care! Thank goodness there were no cars dropping off students and the like.
By the time I came back to Minah she had finished her Orijen and so I gave her some more. Then a woman came by to feed her breakfast but as she saw me, she didn't give Minah anymore. She darted away so fast that I didn't have time to chat with her at all which was a pity.
Note about Orijen: Both Minah and FatBoy like it. I gave Minah a choice once between Nutro salmon (which she used to eat) and Orijen and she made an organic choice :))

Orijen Food Update
Toro made the choice finally to eat Orijen like the rest of the amigos. I was pleased that I had given him time to reconsider his choices. Before this, he was the only one whom I had given salmon kibble as a night snack. So I guess since he had seen everyone else eating a different kibble, he had decided to join the crew :) Now when I give him a choice, he makes the Orijen one :)
Ms Akira has stopped vomitting the Orijen. She had some trouble changing diets although she did eat Orijen quite enthusiastically. It was only last Saturday that was a problem and now she eats it willingly with no problems.
I have yet to try ANF Holistic as I could not find the brand in the store but I will KIV this in case the amigos decided that they had had enough of the Orijen way :)

Who's knocking on my door
I thought it would be easier for me just to have the cat food delivered to my house, instead of me having to lug cat food weekly! So this afternnon, the PL delivery guy came to deliver 8 bags of litter and 30 cans of Salmon Dinner for Cal - her favourite.
Bujang welcomed the delivery guy with a furtive looks but at least he was out in the living room but safely on the tbale, away from the door :) The rest of the gang disappeared and Ms Akira hid under the floor mat. Grandma told me she has taken to hiding under mats eversince last week when the neighbour upstairs had done some home improvement.

Home News
This is the state of the amigo house :) Megat is King or he wants to be King and the rest apart from Ms Akira tread very carefully around him. Yesterday was the first time I saw Bujang retaliating when Megat tried to slap him. He slapped back. And with that I think things are looking up for everyone. Bujang and Toro play with megat sometimes, running and chasing each other. Then when things cool down and they walk past him, Megat would spring up and try to beat them up. Toro sometimes fights back. But most times they just leave Megat alone. Ms Akira is the only one brave enough to tell Megat off and she would sometimes go out of her way to remind him of who she is :)
Tonight I gave Megat NB Salmon and Tuna. He ate it enthusiastically and did not throw up. The rest got some Snappy Tom chicken as Ms Akira is now off fussiecat. Toro, Bujang and Ms Akira share a 80g can.
I got a new bottle of ARCferon for Megat. He knew he had to take his meds and he ran all over the house. Grandma had to help me hold him while I fed him his vitamins. He is a wily old cat.
Food issues
I don't like being rained on...Last night when I came home from feeding the WB, grandma told me that Megat threw up his dinner. This is the first time he has done this. I notice too that Toro, who would usually eat Natural Balance Tuna refuses to touch it for several days. Even Megat who is always hungry and who would usually just gobble up his Natural Balance has to be encouraged to eat it. Nothing has been said about Natural Balance Tuna so I assumed it would be ok to feed it the amigos.
Of course I may just be paranoid about the whole issue. Megat has been doing very well with his diet of Waltham Renal and some Natural Balance. Of course he can just eat Waltham Renal but its rather boring and it might turn him off the whole thing. He is 10 years old. Surely he deserves some joy with his food.
Maybe I would give him some fussiecat, like the rest of the amigos.

Lingzhi
I have been giving Megat some lingzhi to get his immune sysytem up to speed. Dr Su said that it might help him get much stronger. He doesn't like it much so I have to put it in his NB canned tuna. He usually gets NB Indoor Cats to mix with his Waltham Renal but I found that the tuna works better with the lingzhi. He has to be in his carrier with his dinner bowl and only then would he finish it up. He takes half a capsule a day and he has been on it for 4 days already. I suppose its too early to tell how it affects him.
I hope that there will be no bad news about NB canned food unlike the dry kibble Venison and Pea combo . I also read that all this might actually be a case fraud from the link at tipped-ear clan's blog instead of an accident! Why would anyone want to kill pets?
