Saturday at home

This morning all 3 boys were together in the living room. Rez has been practising sitting calmly with Tanaka and Bujang. He manages to do this in short bursts but the process for all 3 of them is invaluable. So it has resulted in this short time together- all 3 sitting in peace and quiet. SUCCCESS! 

Saturday Easy

        

            Sitting on san on Saturday morning is rather pleasant. I should do this more.  

        

                                                Did you say something Bujang?

        

Will the both of you get up already? It's Saturday and san has to be at the dentist and we want breakfast! It's SATURDAY! 

        

                                NO! My teeth are fine. I don't need the dentist. I need breakfast.

Welcome 2013

 Red water lilies in the pond at Angkor Wat

Cambodia is a country of water lilies and lotus. Each time we pass a body of water, there will be water lilies in it. It creates a calm and peaceful atmosphere for everyone. There was hardly anyone who sounded the horn at anyone else. It was one of the quietest places I have ever been to. And so for 2013, I hope for peace and calm for all of us here and for everyone else.

 My wish for 2013 is for good health and more treats - the Friskies kind please san.

I am rather pleased with this very clear picture of Megat. It is not often that I get to see his face at all clearly with the camera :) Megat is getting more mellow and sleeps a lot. He is getting on but his heart is big enough for everyone in the house - even Tanaka!

Friday in our haus

Tanaka: san broughted this home yesterday fur us. She gotted it for free - for nuffing. What san? You had to buy fud for it? Ok. It was furry good offur you to buy us the toy and we even got free fud for it.

This is me in close-up. I am a good boy when san is around but I know she knows that in my mind, I am doing this. But we always play this game. It is I fink a good one.

 I am a constant guardian to my sisfur Akira. I do not call her Ms. In my mind she is called 'the little girl.'

Yesterday my bruffer went down wif san at about 2.00 o'clock. But san told grandma he was not used to the noise downstairs. The Council is doing some improvements to the estate and there is a lot offur noise. He stayed in his carrier and looked about. I heard san tell grandma that he has put on weight...hehehe. I am very slim at 4.5 kg but my bruffer is 7.5 kg at the last count! WOAH!

 But here he looked slim. Hmmm... I wonder if I would look fat if I stand up like this.

 Bujang: Stop insulting me you little ginger biscuit! I am big-boned! Anyway didn't san give you a jbo to do?

Oh yesss...Our friends  from The Poupounette gave us this wonderful award for just being us. I fank them for it. We are many cats in one small household. I asked san if she would get us a little beetle or a bird but she said "Not ever, little kittehs!". But san gave us a little garden and we now see birds and butterflies. We guess that is better than nuffing.

Visitors

 Bujang: I like quiet times in the early evenings with everything and everyone in its place. THEN ...

 Bujang: What is that ?

Tanaka: Relax bruffer. I will see what it is.

 Hmmm.... what is this? Will it taste good san? But I fink it will be a good chase..hee hee...

 Oh..where is it?

Hmmm...if I look furry hard, it will appear right? RIGHT?

Of course the grasshopper was too smart (I hope) It did not make an appearance even though Tanaka waited patiently for as long a he could - about 1 minute:) Since the evenings are cooler these days, we get quite a variety of creatures instead of the inevitable beetle in the house. Thank goodness the beetles are small, not bigger than 5mm in diameter. But the amigos always welcome the distraction.

Message for Monday

 What do you mean by message san? What is MY message for Monday? Ok. Lemme think fur a minute...

Tanaka: OK.When your people put new linen on the bed, be sure to help them wif a test run. san's cotton and silk blend was furry cool. I LIKE it!

san: No, not that kind of message. Something useful Tanaka.

Tanaka: OK. Have fun on Mondays you kitties out there. Play.Nap.Eat.

san: OK. Let's get someone else.

Megat: zzzzzzzzz

san: let's not disturb him Tanaka.

Tanaka: ok..my message on behalf of my bruffer...

Time to do some napping myself. Fanks fur the big bed san and the garden as well.

While Away Wednesday

 While I was waiting for dinner, I thought I would while away my time by making sure the humans watch me whiling(?) my time instead of allowing them to watch the Korean sitcom. I looked furry beautiful under the sun. I fink my humans do not think about my beauty in the right way!

"Tanaka! Get away from there," grandma said.

"Hmmmmmm.....mmmmm....." I said.."hmmmmm....mmmmm"

 I while away my time when san wants me to go home quickly. I know that if I sit down like this, she would also sit down as she thinks I have interesting thoughts to think about. Actually I was just looking at...

THIS. There is nothing to see here but I though we should learn to appreciate stillness. I have much to teach san about being still.

Sleepy Saturday

I feel sleepy this morning. Its good that it is going to rain...

san, can you get this thing off me? Its cramping my style and taking up space.

Megat is becoming much more confident lately and this morning he actually climbed up all the green steps and actually nosed his way onto the top of Ms Akira's cage. This is the first time that he had ever done this. We are very pleased with his progress :) 

His confidence has grown so much that he would even try to tell Bujang who's BOSS. He would go up to Bujang and look at him in a very still way. Bujang then becomes a little disconcerted. Of course after that Megat walks away :) Maybe we will have a new Boss sometime.

Tuesday Twosome

I have always liked watching cats asleep. It reminds me that no matter  how terrible things are or can be, your home is always safe when there is a sleeping cat! Of course it also helps if Tuesday brings with it , some light rain and cool breezes.

The boys were taking time off today- each at their own spaces. Bujang has taken over the spot that used to belong to Tanaka before the green steps, then Toro after the green steps. He sleeps here for part of the night as well, probably then he could see what is going on at all times.

The jasmine plant with Toro's ashes in it...

Even this plant is doing well with new leaves sprouting. I have moved it to a much more sunny position along the corridor and the boys can see the plant as it is now directly infront of their window. The jasmine fragrance also wafts in more directly into the house. So I guess even Toro is doing well in spirit.

and..

Tanaka is good at the magic trick of finding the right time to nap on san's bed...when the linen is fresh...hahaha.

Monday Magic

san went to the vet to get catfood and saw some bonsai in the sun. A tree in a small pot- just right for us but san didn't buy any cos she said....

she already has magic in our house...hehehe

She didn't get any pikshurs of Ms Akira who is good at the magic trick of disappearing from sight :). It was also very hot this afternoon (as can be seen from our pikshurs) but san did'nt go out as she said "Too hot! Too Hot!". She had a nap wif us and then it thundered and rained. Too bad for my bruffer Bujang. san felt very bad about it but she said "Too hot to be outside even so." I fink san should do better!

Windy Wednesday

The boys resting near the window or the breese. Bujang sleeps on that seat at night and sometimes Toro decides to sleep where he is too, especially when I do not have the a/c on at nights.

But today, there was a short burst of rain so its quite cool in the room for them both. :)

Easy Peasy Sunday
