HO HUM. OH NO!

Thank you for NOT buying me this present for my birthday san. The tuna dinner and walk were quite enough.

I bought this present for Tanaka as he is curious at the best and worst of times. I thought he might like a robot for himself. What could be better than a robot bug?

This was what he got. It would work better on a less smooth surface I think although it should be able to do more than walk around in circles.

I should have known my cat better! 

I much preferred my morning walk THIS morning san then my purresent from yesterday. Fanks anyway. Nano technology you say? Hmmphhhfff! Cat Technology is what they need!

Ok. Maybe I feel a little sorry for him. Maybe....

Bifday Present

Yesterday my bifday present came from far away. We had several envelopes. san said the presents belong to all offur us and there were some Christmas presents as well. But she said I can choose one for myself.

 I had a hard time choosing from so amny envelopes. I smelled each one. 

 I finally chose one wif catnip. They are knitted balls of catnip!!

 Sniff! Sniff! SNIFF! 

WHEE!!!

I played wif them the whole day and there was catnip all offur the house. san said I can have one more on my 2nd bifday. I wonder what that will be!

Undercover Mouse Uncovered

The amigos were all united when playing their new game -Undercover Mouse. I bought this toy this afternoon after Toro had his haircut. I thought he deserved some joy and the game looked quite energetic (judging from the cat model that ran around it).

Megat enjoyed it quite alot. He actually sat on the bed and watched the other 3 play the game for some time before taking part in it. I guess he had to plan his moves first. But then Megat simply loves batting things about and playing catch with Bujang. He loves fishing games as well. Actually he is game to play just about anything!

But if you want a kitty who can hack a game in under 10 minutes flat (and sometimes even sooner) there is no one like Tanaka. He figured that if he slept on the mouse, he would catch it at his leisure :) Toro lost all interest after the first 5 minutes and even here, he was more an observer than anything else.

Bath Time

We all had a bath in the washing machine- round and round and round. All the amigos except Bujang has a toy. The littke tiger belongs to Tanka, the doggie to Megat, the grey cat to Toro and the big tiger to Ms Akira. She likes her stuff toy and would sleep against it at night :)

Wednesday Wanna-Haves

I went to the reddot museum yesterday to see what manner of new inventions and innovations people have come up with and I realised that many inventions on the prototype wall were by South Koreans. I thought the second one would be just nice for the amigos and myself. We could have many hours of fun in it or at least they would :) It is still a prototype (as is the tea bag) but its a super-duper idea :)

New Cubes

Ok..where is the treat?

The boys loved their new cubes. They're made of nylon and stick together with velcro. They are very light and would tumble at the slightest rumble which delights Tanaka a lot. Tanaka races through them like no tomorrow and the others know that if they investigate the cubes, sometimes they find a treat :) I got them online last year and they just came in last week. :)

Our New Toy - the Dragonfly

Close-up of the dragonfly..it comes in 5 colours but my favourite is otange. It does look pretty realistic...

What the whole toy looks like...the wire allows it maximum flexibility and movement...

Even the wings are a blur in flight....

I have been trying to get this toy for ages. The boys love it as much as they love Da Bird. It has pretty realistic wings that move in a blur with every wire movement. Its really cool. I use it to play with Ms akira at night and she loves catching it in mid-air as well as in nooks and corners and she would race all over the house. This gives her a much-needed break to exercise too. :)

Revving up with The Dragonfly

The drgaonfly is a great favourite with everyone, Ms Akira included and Toro would even run after it with the rest of the boys! It might be the glamour of a new toy though. But it does fly in a most realistic way and the amigos enjoy it very much. I read quite alot about it and it had rave reviews all round and now I know why :)

Cooling down with the Dragonfly

Tanaka loves the dragonfly. I allowed him to play with it until he is satisfied that the dragonfly is dead. Time to move on.....

Bujang and the cat charmer

Then he turned round and round while still warning everyone off his charmer...

Grandma was very surprised as she has never heard Bujang make these high- pitched warning sounds before. The sounds are reminiscent of the high-pitched sounds he would make when he sees birds, without the chirruping.

He manged to wound it into a little coil..and then...

he continued to bite it until the ends came off...

only then was he satisfied and allowed me to take it away...

This is called the CAT CHARMER. It is a long stretch of fleece held by a wand. It is exteremely pliable and can form complicated swirls in the air (like those Olympic gymnasts and their ribbon) , which fascinates Bujang and Tanaka. Toro has no interest in the cat charmer (only in Da Bird). Bujang loves it to distraction as once he gets his teeth on it, he loves to pull it away from me and the fleece would give way in a long strecth. He has destroyed quite a few of these toys. I must say that it is true to its name. The CAT CHARMER absolutely charms a cat :)
