Time Out

We are on time out fur a bit for this blog. Grandma had a fall last Sunday and is now in the big V_E_T hospital, like Toro. So san has to visit her effuryday and cannot blog. I dun have the password to blog fur us...yet. Grandma had an operation on Tuesday as she had a hairline fracture of her femur. san says fur me to spell effurything pro_per-ly. So we all miss grandma, especially my bruffer Bujang, who has been looking fur her effuryday. But I am a strong boy and can take it. I know she will be back next month as she has to go for rehab. I dunno what rehab is but san says its important so grandma can learn how to use her leg again.

san says she may blog sometimes when one offur us has somefing to say. So I need to think carefully about what I want her to write about me. Hmmmm....

Oh dear grandma...

I hope grandma gets well soon...
Oh dear...its too scary...
I fink all will be well wif grandma and effuryone this morning....

Last night while we were giving Megat his supplements, grandma fell quite hard and her forehead bled. Cousin R and I immediately put Megat in his cage and put grandma in her chair and brought her to the doctor. The amigos were all very shocked at the sudden flurry in our otherwise slow household situation and they all ran for cover. Poor kitties !

It was fortunate that there were only a few people there at about 8.30 pm. We got to see the doctor first and grandma has 4 stitches on her forehead. When we got home, none of the kitties came out of the room but after we settled grandma (and became calmer ourselves), Bujang came out but peeked out timidly from behind a wall. He looked scared and uncertain. Tanaka of course was curious and came to sniff at grandma from a distance. Cousin R and I talked softly to them and offere dthem treats and after abit they all came out to sniff at grandma and everyone settled down well.

This morning grandma told me that Bujang and Toro came to sit with her on her bed. She was very pleased. I told her the kitties always know if anyone in the house needed comforting. We are both gald to have all of them with us.

Btw grandma is better apart from a purple bruise around her eye. she is very cheerful and watched her favourite soap opera:) We were all very relieved.

He smells like a cat!

Foam shampoo for SB, so he smells more like the amigos...

After bath...

He decided to use my foot as a prop

Close-up of his foot used to prop him up which I find strange

After bath...
"He smells like a cat. Why don't you take him to the groomer?" grandma asked me on the 1st day he stayed with us. Grandma is used to the amigos smelling of shampoo or mango or green tea. I told grandma that SB may be more afraid there as there would be other cats, people and dogs too.

So I went to the pet store and bought this foam shampoo that I had used a very long time ago on Bujang before I discovered orange mango wipes. SB allowed me to put globs of foam all over his fur. Once the operation was over, he leaned over on my foot and rested while he cleaned and put his fur to order. I noticed he lays his foot flat on the ground. This was the 2nd time that I noticed he did this to his leg. It was quite strange as none of the amigos and indeed none of the other cats I had seen had ever done this to their leg and foot. He was not in any kind of pain and walks quite jauntily on all of his legs so I guess it must be something genetic.

Grandma gave her seal of approval and told me he smelled better. :)
