Just Because

Hello everyone. I was telling san that she needed to tell my side of the story with Rez. I was very tolerant for 2 years. I knew he was young and I thought he would settle down. But there is such a thing as 'a little too slow.' I think Rez is like that so I am taking a firmer hand with his education. I am glad my sister Akira is taking a more proactive approach as well. i have decided to follow her example.

I am glad to report after many firm reminders, he is no longer harassing me quite as much. I am letting my sister deal with him more and more as I know she can do it and it makes her feel part of the family to do this. It will be three years this December. When will he learn do you think?

Wednesday Whisperz

shhhhh...playing hide and seek

These days both Tanaka and I play hide and seek with san, especially after dinner. We know that after dinner is the time for TCM, warm sea salt baths and sometimes cutting nails and cleaning ears. These are not fun times for any of us - myself, Tanaka and Popps. san leaves Bujang alone as he has claws and teeth that he is not afraid to use. So almost always we try to run and hide.
I do not think I need to eat meds effuryday. So once I hid myself in the litter bin. It was amusing to hear san call my name. Then I hid in grandma's cupboard and once I hid under the grey stool in the living room, right under san's nose. I am beginning to like playing hide and seek.
I usually pretend to be asleep in grandma's room. San would always allow me to sleep undisturbed. But now, there is no escape as I need to clean my ears only once in a week. I don't mind that too much these days. I quite like the attention unless it's time for nail clipping!

Wednesday Notes

These days I am much more confident and can sit (for short minutes) with my brother. BUT I must always keep an eye on him. If not he will try to chase me.
Here we were last night. san was watching Masterchef and did not realise I had come into the living room from the kitchen. I sat here looking at my brother and he sat where he was looking at me. But he was relaxed and so was I.
See? When I began to get up to stretch and I was not looking at him, he would become more tense and would attempt to give chase. san had to remind him to sit quietly, which he did.
"LEAVE ME IN PEACE Tanaka!"

Sunday experiment

What was I looking at you ask?
Something good happened to me last Sunday. Here, I was looking at it right then Ok maybe 'it' is not the right word. This is the right word...
Akira! And she was also looking at me. Here we were together.

It was the first time that we were together
Then when san told me to relax and leave my sisfur alone, I decided to wait it out. When san was not looking I tried to
jump on her and she YELLED and growled at me. I was so surprised as before she would have tried to run away. This time she stood her ground!  san told me to leave her alone. Bujang tried to comfort her and Megat asked me what the matter was.
Finally san decided to tie my leash to the computer room door and Akira decided to sit on top of the night cages. Then....
All was peaceful once more. I decided to relax and we all stayed outside for half an hour like this. It was the first time that all offur us were outside together. I thought it was a good fing. I hope san does it again soon. It was furry exciting for all offur us and I fink it was the best fing that happened last Sunday.

Tuesday notes and updates

Napping is pretty hard work...
and a thirsty one too.

Ms Akira is doing quite well with the new arrangement of being outside and she has indicated (by warning growls) that she would like longer times outside. The problem is she would only go outside when I am home although she is at perfect liberty to go out as the baby gates would be open in the afternoon.

In this case, she would have shorter times outside as I am home late sometimes. When this happens the boys have to stay in the room a longer time. I need to see if there is another way to do this.

Tanaka has been doing quite well inside the room but yesterday he had a slight fever I think from being inside for about 7 hours. On the positive side Tanaka has been much more relaxed in front of her and once had stretched himself and actually yawned and took a nap in front of the baby gates. This is a far cry from his behavior of being on alert every time he sees her inside the room.

There has been only one screaming match between Ms Akira and Megat when both were outside at the same time. But that was my fault for not paying close attention to the both of them. Megat was extremely curious and stealthy and Ms Akira extremely nervous under the covers.

I am also putting Revolution on all the kitties. I had started from last month. This is because eventhough the vets told me Ms Akira has no mites, I was told by a few pawrents that it was only after many months of vigilance (and close examination by their vets)  that they finally found that their  cats did in fact have mites.

Ms Akira is also taking some coconut oil for her fur as well and I am giving Megat the oil for constipation. I always wonder why all the cats (and dogs) that I had read about that had to take coconut oil loved it. How did THAT happen? None of the amigos would take it voluntarily. I have to give Megat (for constipation) and Tanaka (for his shedding) through a syringe. They get 0.5 a day and I had to just rub some coconut oil at Ms Akira's mouth. She does not yell but this morning, she decided to hide out! Bujang is a little hit and run :)
