TGIF

The week has been rather wet with 3 out of 4 days of rain so Bujang did not get to walk on the grass. I did try to bring him down after the rain stopped but he did not even step out of his carrier. He doesn't like wet feet.

So instead he had walked along the corrfidor

as we had some sunshine...but not much

Today is TGIF. Maybe the day would get much more sunny later....

TGIF

Time to spend some time outside by myself, away from my other responsibilities of taking care of our house, grandma and the new helper. I have many duties to do as BOSS cat. But every TGIF I get to spend some time with san outside in the early evening where I get to sit quietly and she reads me some bean stuff. I personally think its nonsense but she seems to enjoy reading.

 Time fur some snooperrama. I fink san needs to keep up wif the housework better.

TGIF

This is the last Friday before san goes back to work so we did many things in the morning. 

                                  

We went out looking at our corridor garden. The dry spell had encouraged the bougainvillea to flower 

                            

I also looked closely at this plant. San said the woman who sold it to her said it's called 'mother-in-law's tongue. ' Since I do not have a mother-in-law I do not know why that is. Neither does san.

                           

I spent the rest of the time looking at sunpuddles....

                                  .....and just hanging around with san...

There is nothing better than fresh grass eaten outside. Our grass came yesterday so this morning I had good grass. 

                                         Yes. If it's in a tray it belongs to me. 

Hmmmmmmm.  Also grooming in the cradle the first thing in the morning is one of the best things in my life. Of cos it can be better but for now, I'll take it.

Friday Furries

Bujang and Tanaka spent midnight listening to firecrackers. We had all our windows closed as sometimes people throw firecrackers out their windows as well! Increasingly we are hearing more and more firecrackers unlike 5 years ago when we would hear only one or two feeble bangs. 

                             Possibly the horse is bringing with it a lot of changes. 

Bujang was too tired of constantly being shocked by loud crackers and is spending the time in bed. 

                      

        It's wasn't so bad san. I was not so afraid of the noise as I know I am safe at home. 

                           

Although it was furry exciting last night, I am glad that today is quiet. I know later that there would be many people walking along our corridors as we have 5 Chinese families on our floor celebrating the new year.

               

                  

One piece of good news is that our comcat may be leaving for a new forever home. He is now 2 years old and very cheery and active. Someone had asked us for a cat that they may want to adopt and we had recommended him highly. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the family takes him in.

Sorry. There is no TGIF news. I was watching the news yesterday with san. The PSI was 355! That was not good news for us as even I was not allowed to go for my short night walk. 

     

Here I was watching Animal Planet but san turned to the news channel sometimes so we can keep track of the PSI. 

    

This morning the story was much the same. So I decided on a morning nap on san. It was ok but not like a nice walk outside. My bruffers were also quite fed up as no one was allowed out, even Bujang. san did not bring Megat to his review yesterday as the PSI was very high as well. I think more indoor play time will be the order of the day. 

       Now it is 400!   I am not pleased. 

Friday in our haus

Tanaka: san broughted this home yesterday fur us. She gotted it for free - for nuffing. What san? You had to buy fud for it? Ok. It was furry good offur you to buy us the toy and we even got free fud for it.

This is me in close-up. I am a good boy when san is around but I know she knows that in my mind, I am doing this. But we always play this game. It is I fink a good one.

 I am a constant guardian to my sisfur Akira. I do not call her Ms. In my mind she is called 'the little girl.'

Yesterday my bruffer went down wif san at about 2.00 o'clock. But san told grandma he was not used to the noise downstairs. The Council is doing some improvements to the estate and there is a lot offur noise. He stayed in his carrier and looked about. I heard san tell grandma that he has put on weight...hehehe. I am very slim at 4.5 kg but my bruffer is 7.5 kg at the last count! WOAH!

 But here he looked slim. Hmmm... I wonder if I would look fat if I stand up like this.

 Bujang: Stop insulting me you little ginger biscuit! I am big-boned! Anyway didn't san give you a jbo to do?

Oh yesss...Our friends  from The Poupounette gave us this wonderful award for just being us. I fank them for it. We are many cats in one small household. I asked san if she would get us a little beetle or a bird but she said "Not ever, little kittehs!". But san gave us a little garden and we now see birds and butterflies. We guess that is better than nuffing.

Good Friday

Yes its a good Friday indeed as we have a long weekend. I sat here after san watered this new plant. san has forgotten what the name was but it seems that the plant would bring in good fortune with its sweet smelling flowers (if that ever happens but we are hopeful). For me, the good fortune is getting daily walks. san has been very good about taking me out for walks when it doesn't rain. I don't get walks during the weekend as I only like walking in the evenings and san has to go feed the downstairs kitties.

My sisfur Ms Akira was sitting here looking at Good Friday. at least i thought that was what she was doing but later I saw that she was looking at this...

They sing a lot in the morning and so we always wake up to a bird choir!

Is it Friday already? Every day is Friday san don't you know?

Except for the occasional bout of coughing Megat takes life easily:) Of course he takes every chance of beating up Toro. But Bujang and him have been having a lot of fun playing tag, with him running after Bujang of course, not the other way round.

Ms Akira likes sitting here by the open window. She is so quiet that not many people realise she is there and she is able to hide herself if she is afraid.

Bujang had a good time at the grass patch in between our 2 flats. This is where the grass grows longest. I think the grass mower people could not be bothered to remove the branches that were there and so mowed around them. He likes hiding here thinking that no one can see him:)

We are lucky not many people walk here at all and students do not hang around in this patch. Also no one plays football here. I do not know why as this patch is bigger than the one with the footballers. But I am grateful as it is always quiet and we would see at most one or two people walking their dogs.

Friday the 13th

We are just lazing about as usual on Friday afternoon now that _all_ of us are home. Life is quiet, which is the way we like it. But this morning san was busy taking our pikshurs. We had had 4 days of no pikshurs and the sudden fury of it all exahusted us, as you can see from this pikshur!

Totoro: This morning I had to take _all_ my medicines! In the morning! It was a painful time but then san gave me a treat which made it all ok :) So I posed for this pikshur.
Huh? There was a treat? Why didn't I get any?
That is because you were not taking any medicine Bujang! I got a treat as I allowed san to clean me up. I do this every morning for the treat. Surely you didn't think I did it for the fun of it?

I don't like treats! san usually give treats when she wants us to do somefing funny - like take medicine, wipe our fur, clean our ears, brush us. Phooey! I dun like any offur that!

I get treats every night when its time fur bed :) I dun have to do anything - just sit on her lap all day :)

Its raining again...and again...

Time for a nap...maybe a very long nap for today.

Its December and so we would have rain sometimes for the whole day. The amigos have decided to spend the day napping :). Today, its one of those days when the rain falls continuously and slowly - a whole day of rain. Poor Bujang will have to spend the day inside as the corridors are also wet with the rain.
