The kitties relaxing together in the morning ... but not to close... :)

I'm too sleepy...

This kitty tried to wake me up at 4.30 this morning and here he is, at 9.17 falling asleep. Early to wake and even earlier to cat nap.

What san? No I am not scaring her...well maybe just a little bit...

Ok...slowly does it...she doesn't see me...

Sniff....hmmm..smells of boys cats!!!


Oh dear...she is staring at me....

You jump on me and you'll get it Kiddy!!

and truth be told...Tanaka did not do anything to scare Ms Akira. He wanted to but decided on a wiser course :)

Mystery

This is the object of much interest in our house...

This belongs to Megat. But every other kitty wants a part of it. I do not know why. Toro loves sleeping on top of it, Bujang likes sitting in it in the afternoons, Tanaka loves hopping in and out of it and now Ms Akira has decided to inspect it. Its just a cage with a blue towel, a rabbit litter bin and Megat's toy dog. The great attraction I suspect is that it is put in a quiet corner of the living room but whoever is in or on it, can survey almost every part of the house quietly. I think THAT is the attraction although I do not know for sure.

Ms Akira is on the trail of errr...her blue towel...

...Its time to get out Akira... I am warning you...

Bujang acted very stragely this morning. I think he wanted to be inside the cage but saw Ms Akira in it. He decided to growl and threaten her. She snarled back and then decided to sit quietly for the storm to pass. I had to close the door so Bujang doesn't get in. He had to be satisfied with posturing outside and after a few minutes, bujang left cos Ms Akira just ignored him as she knew she was safe in the cage :)

... Hmm...ok the coast is clear... time to get out....



...Time to do something else...like sleep in the sun...or maybe on top of the fridge..

A Bit of Cat-Trivia

· A cat can be either right-pawed or left-pawed.
· A cat can jump as much as seven times its height.
· A cat cannot see directly under its nose. This is why the cat cannot seem to find tidbits on the floor.
· A cat has 230 bones in its body. A human only has 206 bones.
· A cat has four rows of whiskers.
· A cat in a hurry can sprint at about thirty-one miles per hour.
· A cat sees about six times better than a human at night because of the tapetum lucidum , a layer of extra reflecting cells which absorb light.
· A cat uses its whiskers to determine if a space is too small to squeeze through. The whiskers act as feelers or antennae, helping the animal to judge the precise width of any passage.
· A cat will almost never meow at another cat. Cats use this sound for humans.
· A cat will clean itself with paw and tongue after a dangerous experience or when it has fought with another cat. This is believed to be an attempt by the animal to soothe its nerves by doing something natural and instinctive.

I think a cat is more superman than the man himself :)
