This was not a picture taken today. This was taken yesterday when Popps uncharacteristically groomed so near Tanaka. I do not know if she realised Tanaka was there or she has had a change of heart about him. But it seems to me she is much more relaxed these days and would walk about the house in the afternoons as well compared to just at night when she would be out in the living room by herself.

TGIF with Bujang

Bujang , my perfect 13 year old kitty on his own silk-cotton blanket

I got Bujang his own silk-cotton Korean blanket so I would be able to use mine without guilt. He uses it everyday and sleeps very well on it. I also notice that h sleeps in a much more relaxed fashion, all stretched out. But I am also giving him something for his back, which I hope is working to help him lessen his arthritis, Cosequin for Cats and of cos he goes for osteopathy monthly.

Today's post is about my spiffiness as an indoor cat. 

  

When I first came to stay here, I had on this rather beautiful collar that showed off my black fur. Of course the human made me use this as she said without this collar, no one would be able to make me out. Such rudeness!

My second collar showed us off very well indeed. 

After someone commented that I needed to look like the male cat that I am, she decided that I needed a more manly collar. 

   

 Then for some inexplicable reasons, she made me wear this sissy one. This is NOT a good look for me. 

For National day she made everyone wear red and white. 

This is my latest look. It is called a Flutterfly. I wonder how many more looks I will have to suffer through before she allows me to rest.

I have eaten some tuna and also Bujang's kibbles. Then I jumped up on the bed and sat here like this for some time. I think I was too full to move much. 

The human gave me an orange bow as she said that it was difficult to photograph a black kitty. 

How can this face be difficult to      photograph? 

Some time ago I told Fern that I had a much bigger space to walk about in when I was downstairs but I spent my time always afraid and running away from loud noises. I may not have the same amount of space to walk about here but I feel safer. The human thinks that is why I am putting on weight as I don't do much running about and am not so frightened. I am now 5.2 kg. Before I was about 4.6kg. Now if only the strange kitties would play with me!!

            2 boys just hanging out

His would-be adopter decided not to go through with the trial stay as she said he was too old at 6 years. We were a little sad but we know it would probably take a longer time. Another person who wanted him already had 6 rescued cats. She said she would take him if he didn't mind a multi-cat situation. But we thought being the 7th kitty would not be fair to him nor the other 6 cats. So he is still here with us. 

Last night she chased Rez from the kitchen to the living room and to grandma's bedroom. She yelled a warrior yell and scared him half to death. So she got time-out and we had to rescue Rez from under the bed. She was not allowed to the kitchen for the rest of the time. 

Those 2 need help San. I just need some quiet.

We are just 'lepakking' (relaxicating) on TGIF day. We will lie here to tell San what she should be doing on the eve of a long weekend. We feel that she needs some help in this as she has been busy grading papers these past two weeks.

My message for today is a simple one. Adopt a commcat and save one life from the hazards of life on the streets.

This kitty, now called Bluey came to where san and another caregiver feed commcats on Monday. The place was not a safe one and san felt that this cat needed emergency help. So they got together and removed the cat from the very dangerous car park that 2 other cats are now still residing. On Wednesday night, some one came to take him away for fostering and now he already has a forever home. He will be going to his new home with a doggie and human brother this Saturday. We are very pleased at this.

san is now taking care of Blackie and he is at my home. I don't like him much but I keep an eye on him all the time just in case he has ideas of staying in my house. He is already taking over my kitchen. san is trying to help him with his kidneys by making sure he has subq fluids twice a week and he goes for acupuncture once a week as well. His cough is now better with the TCM. san thinks it will take a longer time to get him adopted and she is trying to get him some exposure through our FB. She hopes that he would also be saved from the life of a commcat like I was. Please pray for this little kitty.
