But tomorrow he is going to the groomer so we could have a more even cut and then he would be off to the vet. I think he needed some more training sessions. I certainly need him to stop squirming about even in the carrier.

FatBoy Friday
FatBoy went into tthe carrier quietly this evening. I hope this meant he was used to the idea of being in the carrier and then being given SubQ. He sat quietly in the cab and behaved well at the clinic. I suppose it won't be long before I have to do the SubQ myself.
He ate 1.5 cans of salmon and chicken fussiecat and then left to explore his neighbourhood. The auntie came this afternoon to pick up the rest of her things. She was a little sad as FatBoy was not about in the afternoon but she would be back here tomorrow it seems to see him.
She misses him a lot and he misses her too as he keeps waiting for her at the letterboxes. i wonder how long he would wait for her to come home.

FatBoy at the vet
Fatboy was very disturbed yesterday when he spied the carrier and could not eat calmly. He wanted to run off but we managed to put him in the carrier. He snapped at us once and then decided there was nothing else he could do and sat quietly. But he complained a little to the vet Dr L as J was not about. But the vet dr L sprayed some antiseptic to numb the area and he sat quietly to allow for the SubQ. It took just under 5 minutes and we were back in 15 minutes at most. I was lucky to be able to get cabs pretty quickly.
He did not finish eating his food with the meds in it but he refused to eat it eventhough we put the bowl in the carrier. So after I brought him home, Cousin R came with more food mixed with a little of his Kidney Activator meds. He ate slowly but finished almost all of it.
Then Cousin R and I sat for some time to see that he is okay and when we saw him walking about, we left him to his own devices.
I also bought the Bach Rescue No 6 for Loss and Mourning so we could give him some as I'm sure he misses the auntie as they were a pair for 8 years. I also plan to give some to all the community kitties. I know it might not work for all cats but there is no harm in trying it out on all.

Congrats Max
We are glad to report that our friend Max is doing well on his sub q and eprex. He is looking thin here being only 1.8kg at present but we are confident that the steps although slowly taken, will get Max to where he needs to be.
Fight on max.

We are glad for Max
Max has gone to the vet and he is now resting comfortably at home. We are glad that he is eating although not so glad that has to get the sub q and the eprex weekly as it would be rather stressful . But we are very confident that his mommy will be able to help him get over his stress very well :).
