Decision

I fink it is the best decision for the old aunty

Thanks for all the advice you gave about the incident that concerned the aunty. We decided that the old aunty should not at any time confront the man as she is always on her own and she goes about feeding the cats after everyone has gone home. So if he shouts, she should ignore him. Then we will all go to the police to make a report. We wish to thank st and all the help with the TC. The auntie is greatly relieved and knows that she has help when she needs it. The 4 from the wild bunch are of course clueless about the saga and all are well and fat. We now have 3 as from te original 4 - Minah, FatBoy and Putih. We have our sometime guests Billy Boy and now the gargoyle of a cat Lala. But Lala has since disappeared and Billy Boy does not come as often. He is a little thinner but not skinny so I think all is still well with him. He has either decided to hang out in his old precinct or maybe his owners have decided to sequester him, which would be better. Gargoyle Lala I am not sure about. Posted by Picasa

Update on the TC and Wild Bunch

Leave me alone. I don't want to see the new cat. Nonono!

The contact that D has given me SH said that he had spoken and emailed the Property Manager of my TC to ask about the alleged complaints about the cats in my area. He sent me the Manager's reply and it seems that there has been NO complaints about defecation and the TC is NOT sending pest control. I am very relieved as well as angry. Why would anyone want to scare people like that? Why tell them the TC is sending pest control when they are not? What did the cats ever do to these people? Why would the cleaner tell the old aunty's friend that the TC would be sending pest control when they are not?

The only thing the Property Manager said was that there was some concern about a black cat with a short tail that has become a 'nuisance' in the area. I do not know what these alleged 'nuisance' activities are. SB (if indeed it was him) can hardly open car doors like he can my kitchen cabinet doors. I have asked SH about it and will wait for his reply.

Tuesday After thoughts

Akha children with their pet dogs in Chiang Rai

I finally got around to calling someone recommended by D regarding the TC problem as someone told me tonight, when I was on my rounds, that the 'uncle' told her (yeah, long-winded tale) that the TC people would be rounding up the cats. She didn't know the dates of course as the 'uncle' didn't know either. This 'uncle' is the same man who cleans the area. I was afraid for the Wild Bunch but figured that just being afraid is not going to cut it. The contact said that when the TC has complaints about any of the cats in our area, they would inform him about it and he also told me, much to my relief, that there has been no such incident that he knows of. He promised to call the TC and then tell me about it. I am very much relieved. The contact also said that Jurong Fishery is no place to send any cat.

It struck me that whatever happens, The Man would would have achieved his goal - of getting rid of SB from the carpark. But I think she needs to live somewhere else as the carpark is dangerous for anyone. After her spaying, I am looking to rehome her if her bloodwork is okay as she is sweet eventhough she looks like a gangster kitty. I think she may have some issues with living with other cats though. By the way, those wounds on SB's back might be caused by car exhausts. I am taking it one day at a time.
