Just Because and some words...

These days I have been sitting with san quite a lot.  She has been writing things in red on many papers. I thought I should give her some company being the BOSS cat. Also I found out that If I sit close to her, she would stop doing using the red pens and she would talk to me instead, or fall asleep or even better, she would get up and give me treats. No tuna but at least something just as delicious. Yummy!

Tasty Tuna...lalala

san tells me that I would get a treat for my birthday and she gave me some tuna that humans eat. It was very tasty but she said I can't have too much of it. I asked her when I can have some more. She just looked at me and said 'lalala'. This means not for a long time. 

Cuddle Time

It quite surprised me that last night Bujang decided that he would sit on my lap for a change. As he is a big kitty, he had to turn around and manouvre  himself onto my lap several times before he got comfortable. It surprised me as he had never, even as a kitten, sat n my lap before and now that he is all of 16 and at 6.4 kg, he is a big and heavy kitty. At first I was worried and thought he may be unwell but as he was not sneezing or hot to the touch, I decided that he may just want some me-time as we were not able to go outside for 2 weeks already. Also he was not bothered that Akira was beside him. Usually he would give the other cats space first and he would not sit with them.

san says its too hot to go for a walk but I don't think so. If she had woken up at 4 am like I asked her to, we could have gone for our walk. Sometimes I despair of her.

Just Because

This is my firs hello for 2019...

I will be 15 this year and I have slowed down a bit. However I am very well and the vet decided that I did not need my twice weekly SubQ until after Chinese New Year when san brings the rest of us to the vet. My end of year health check was done last December before my vet and san went on holiday. The vet was pleased with my health and my kidneys. I am not out of the woods yet but my readings indicated 'normal'. Hurrah!

All the vet staff wished me well and told me that they didn't want me at the vet at all and so I have to drink more water. I will try.

The birdies and I

Bujang watches cat videos on Youtube at night while I use my phone. In a sense we both surf together. Last night, he decided, after watching 2 bird  videos, that he would try to catch one. So he hid his head to the side of the iPAD and waited for a bird to eat a seed. Then like a flash, his paw would strike at a birdie. He had infinite patience and did that for some time. I had to take the iPAD way from him so we both can get some sleep. 

Bujang on Monday

san went to the Pet Expo last Satyrday and didn't buy us treats, like a normal human being who has cats. She bought us only ONE thing, this teepee. I think it's because she also got a gift (see the cloth doggie bone at my left). This teepee was sold by some vendors from Thailand. They had 4 cats and made their cats little teepees and since their 4 cats liked them, they made some more to sell. It was quite ok to sit in except it was very bright. I told san I might like to have the doorway closed a little so I can have more privacy. 

If you look behind me, through our window, you can see a koi fish. That one san bought for Toro. Its actually blue in colour as Toro had blue eyes. san doesn't know why it looked purple but I told her its just the light. I think I am much smarter than san sometimes.

1st post of 2018

San nearly forgot to post our usual New Year entry. Luckily for her, I was the only cat that she took a picture of the whole of today. I wanted to see out the window as it was raining very hard and quite enjoyed the slight spray of the rain.

Even though it is Friday I think san should do something about these cable ties. They can take my eye out. 

The Red Chair

His chair was out for a month for reupholstering. It came back yesterday and he is enjoying it.

He spent the whole afternoon here away from Rezki. It’s very hot these few days even though it’s the end of October and we should have had more rain.

I felt that I had to help san with her work. She was still trying to finish this at this hour. It's already bedtime so I thought if I can hold onto the paper, she would just need to put the red ticks and we can turn in.

Mid Week Adventures

 

It was nice to see Bujang exploring other parts of the park. These roots held a fascination for him and I was glad there were no ants here.  

He went to his favourite part of the park but the Town Council had trimmed the grass here. Even the bushes were shorter and so he didn't get as much joy. He didn't linger nor did he sit to watch the goings-on.

He loves ixora for their sweet smell. These were the only bushes with flowers on them still. 

I was quite surprised that he would pee outside of his box. This border was particularly interesting for him and he took some time smelling the edges. Then he turned around and peed. I guess it was some kind of outdoor toilet for commcats and dogs.  

He was quite adventurous this morning. We were here at about 7.15 and we went home a little later after 8. The sun was out and it became too hot to walk about then.  

Saturday in the park

 

Bujang and I went to the bigger park this morning. We went out later than usual so it was beginning to get hot when we left. It was pretty quiet though as the exercise centre was cordoned off for renovations. Bujang was meowing for someone I guess so I had to tell him he was the only cat there. He walked to the playground but there was no one there as well. 

Just Because

 

Last night I decided to sleep on san's blanket and used both her pillows. Tanaka wanted to play but I didn't feel like it as I was feeling a little unwell. So san used the a/c which made me feel better. But I stayed here for the whole night as I knew san would try to sleep here if I vacated the space. I had a restful night and felt better in the morning. 

Note: this was the first time Bujang had a slight fever. His ears were hot and he was not as insistent on walking as he would be if he was well. He did not move at all, even to go to the bins for the whole night. He felt very well in the morning and had his breakfast and took his meds with good grace.
