Purrayers for BH2

Ms Akira on the look-out for some goodness for BH2.

cat_aunty said BH2 was at the vet's yesterday as he vomitted blood. The vet found he did not have kidney problems but there was a lot of other troubles beginning with poor gums and suspected FIV. These are community cat troubles and we are purraying that BH2 would get a more comfortable time now that the vet had seen him and given him antibiotics. Cat_aunty will try giving him sub q but he is all teeth, eventhough he is an old cat!"DO NOT MESS WITH AN OLD WARRIOR!" seems to be the warning signal from BH2.

Good luck cat_aunty. We hope our sub q carrier advice works :) Bujang says he will send his own warrior purrs (but err..maybe you should watch out. Bujang may be adding his own claws to BH2 too :) )

Thankful Tuesday @cat_aunty

We are thankful that Hat is feeling fine and looking so much better.
His paw is now recovered. It looked very frightening the first time we saw it after the vet had removed the rubber band! Now it is looking plump and well.

On a lighter note, Barley has decided to show us her pretty blue eyes. She is very beautiful.

We are glad to see some old friends doing well and relaxing at cat_aunty. I hear Spencer is none too pleased with the new addition to her house although Barley is quite blissfully unconcerned :) She is a very dashing kitty with her bright blue eyes!

Adopt Me Please

Cat_aunty rescued this kitty on polling day. She is alert and as of today, safe from any other hazard. She will be neutred and vaccinated but cat_aunty cannot adopt her as Empress Spencer would be very upset and there are all the other community kitties that come and go from the safe-house :)

It seemed Uncle saw a man pet her and driving off. We suspect that the man had abandoned this very pretty girl on polling day no less! So anyone who knows of anyone who can adopt such a pretty girl, please send word around. Cat_aunty says she is not very savvy and would not be able to cope with living the community cat life. Thanks.

It is me...Spenser! I just have the blanket of stars!

We have not gotten pics from cat_aunty's gang for a little bit so I am glad to be able to report that all at home are doing well. Kiki is a little bitey though but safe from harm. Mera has had 2 little teeth out and is doing well with his new regimen. His blood results are EXCELLENT! Good kitties all and also cat_aunty :))

Good News for Mera

Cat Aunty says Mera is looking much happier these days as the picture attests to. He is getting older and has had some troubles lately but we are glad he is feeling better at last. :)

Kiki has now taken refuge at cat_aunty's and may live the roving community cat life. A community cat's life with cat_aunty as your protector is so much better than a supposedly more safe and loving life from a 'family'. Kiki knows he would always have a place there and he would always be taken care of. He would always be loved. Good for you Kiki, you ole escape artist :)

Goodbye Sweet Max

Sweet Max@cat_aunty made his peaceful way to the bridge last Sunday. He suffered from renal failure last year. We are all glad his last days filled with sunshine walks outside and him scaring the neighbourhood kitties, as a regal kitty should. We know that he was much loved by everyone who knew him well, even the vet and the nurses.

No more sub q and horrible pills eh Max? More sunshine and good times at the bridge where all the kitties would be falling over themselves to greet you.

Cat_aunty says Max takes to leash walking like a natural and he has been attracting a lot of positive attention in the neighbourhood. He has been excising his escape-artist skills of late so cat_aunty decided that he should go for afternoon walks so none of them would get bitten by mosquitoes!

Of cos he freaks out the other cats! Hahaha. Good ole Max :)

Listen ...life is not all a bed of roses you know....

I only get to sit outside some of the times. Ok, sometimes I try to escape because I have a wild heart and the grass always call me. But I try to sit in an obvious place so cat-aunty knows where to find me. This is quite a good game but I think the rules will change quite soon...sigh....

I get to sit and look out of windows but I am an escape artist as you know...

I know cat-aunty loves me as I always have a place to rest my head :)

I must say grandma Calico is a great favourite among cat-aunty's Wild Bunch. She is very beautiful and from the way she looks, she means business, unlike Hat:) It s good to see them looking so well.

Oooh the grass feels good

Mera was having some sniffles and had to go to the vet. The vet said his gums might be causing him some more trouble and he might need some long term care like Max. The vet did not think the sniffles were serious though. He might be allergic to dust like Megat. Nevertheless he is geting used to life indoors as long as he gets to hang out outdoors some of the time :) Hang in there Mera and tread softly where you go.

Cat_aunty took Mera for a walk yesterday. He sat under his favourite tree for 30 minutes or so, quite relaxed. But he made his grievances known by going to bed straight after the walk. THAT will teach YOU , human!

Cat_aunty had to lock him up when he tried to leave at 10 pm last night. He was not happy even after she told him it would be safer for him to remain indoors and he closed his eyes and sulked. But at least he gets some outside time under watch and that is always better than running about uncared for. The outside is very dangerous for all cats in Sinagpore unless they are supervised.

Welcome Home YB

YB@cat_aunty gave everyone a fright by disappearing for almost two days. Uncle called the AVA and spoke to the aunties and uncles as well as the cleaners looking for him. When he finally came home, he looked worse for wear and was pretty hungry. But at least he came home safe and sound. No more adventures please YB!

Hang in there Mera

We pray that Mera is ok. He collapsed yesterday and the taxi driver from Sonata did not turn up as promised, eventhough he was told there would be a sick cat that he was suppsoed to pick up to go to the vet. So he was not brought to the vet asap as cat_aunty had to find another cab! I am so flabbergasted at such service. It seemed that the cab driver picked up another customer!


Mera has not been well for some time and this is a serious blow to this very strong free spirited cat who had to suffer through many trails and hardships. We also pray for cat_aunty who has herself not been well.

If you read this entry, we hope you would send good thoughts to Mera and cat-aunty.

PS: Good news: Mera's liver and kidneys are ok. He is anaemic with some protein loss and inflammation. It seemed it began with gum problems. He is now on antibiotics and SubQ. Thanks for the good thoughts :)
