WHAT!!

Really? So now we don't have it?!!
I bought for the amigos a new cat fountain made of made of stainless steel and then today I got mail from mythreecats that they had their package sent back to them. It seems our post had tried to deliver our package and sent us a notice on 30th November and since there was no reply from us, they had sent back the package!! We were flabbergasted as we did not get any notice at all!! We sent an enquiry to the post and we are now waiting their reply.

We only have plastic fountains here that I can find and the plastic smells after a few years! We were all very disappointed with our mail service.

A Matter of Habit

Bujang likes drinking from this bowl...
Toro likes it too...

and so do the rest of the boys. I used to have two bowls like this which I use every day. But Megat and Bujang broke one when they were chasing each other and I have this one only. I tried to give them water in other types of bowls but this was not very successful for all. Cousin R has 1 bowl like this and she said she would find it for us.

We were given these bowls as part of a wedding lunch. All the guests had gifts put in these bowls. I don't remember what those gifts were but I am thankful for these. The bowls are shallow and wide so their whiskers do not touch the sides.

I hope Cousin R finds her bowl fast :)

New Cat-It

The water spurts out from the middle. Its much neater and quieter.

One of our Cat-Its said its last goodbye yesterday. It was the one that Toro likes to drink from. I then put a big bowl of water, which he ignored most of the day. I think he was used to drinking water from the fountain and needed some time to re-adjust. i thought he would get the hang of it this morning but to no avail. We have 2 other Cat-Its in different parts of the house but as he likes this particular place and he drinks water regularly from there, grandma thought we should get him another one. Also, we needed him to drink more water as he had UTI some months ago. Then of course there were the accidents of the boys kicking the bowl over when they were playing and chasing each other last night.

PL only had the Dog-It left and then there was this one. I had seen this one in the net and I read good reviews and so I bought it. its much easier to dismantle and clean. But Toro, true to form, has just walked past it and taken a few sniffs. It would take one more day or until he sees some other kitty use it. Megat took to it immediately though. But then megat is very brave to try new things unlike Toro and Bujang.

Hello Thursday. I am fine thank you...

This was the first time that I have seen Megat sitting at the front door, by himself, looking outside. What he would usually do was to just take a short glimpse, not even near the grills and then do an about turn and walk away. Today, he sat there feeling the breeze and just watching Thursday...

Megat likes sitting here. This has become his territory although he does allow the other kitties to hang about here. They just cannot walk on the mat, except Big Boss Bujang of ocurse...

Megat after his 30 ml of water. I am thinking of buying Solid Gold Tuna and to try KXBC's advice. Will buy it tomorrow. Posted by Picasa

Megat on Wedneday

This is what Megat does all day. He just sits near his Dora cup and then smells it periodically. He has yet to drink from it much today.
Megat on Wednesday evening...

The good thing is Megat looks much better this week after his 2nd chemo than he had done in the 1st week. He is also not as leathrgic as the 1st time. We think its the supplements that he has - the Natural Defense with 16 mushrooms to improve his immune system as well as the ling zhi. He has to take the milk thistle as well. I have started to syringe him with water since last night. As of 9 pm he has been syringed with 50 ml of water - 20 ml in the morning and 30 ml at night. In between, he did drink but only a little. I am syringing him with water as I am afraid his Edoxan would accumulate in his bladder and then he would get blood in his urine. Tonight I had given him some mashed pumpkin instead of papaya. I think he appreciated the change :)
PS: I gave him another 10 ml of water with grandma's help before he went to bed. Grandma said he sighed twice. Poor kitty...

Water please...

Ok..I may not get special service but I have my own CAT IT - all on my own and I plan to make it all mine!

Megat was much better this morning with his temperature gone. I got him to eat his pill in some tuna and he ate quite abit of food ...

He even drank water from his personal Dora cup...

Bujang has already discovered the joy of having water on demand and sat to guard his cup of water...thank you

Ice in the water helps the water to stay cooler longer grandma says... Bujang and megat likes ice in their water...Posted by Picasa

Our old Cat-It

This is our old Cat-It. I had saved it for spare parts and took it out this morning to see if it would run. It ran surprisingly well. I will just put it out so we would have 2 water domes. I have one with the reservoir out too as Bujang likes drinking from the bowl although I think the domes are easier and cleaner. I am glad I did not throw it away 2 years ago when I had trouble with it.

Drink a little...

Grandma was remarking on how contrary Megat was. She said that he would choose to drink only when I or Cousin R was around. She found that terribly amusing and told Megat she would not give him any water the next time....of course she did and of course he waited for either Cousin R and I was about to drink it :)

Water for all

Bujang taking a drink...

Toro trying it out for himself...

It is very strange that I can only upload pictures from Picasa these last few days. It takes a long time for blogger to upload pictures independently. Anyway it is getting to be a routine in the house that everyone takes a dip from megat's cup, even Ms Akira although I have not been able to get a pic of her doing so :) I suppose I should leave the cup of water in the living room so everyone can take a drink from it.

We had our last few visitors today, left over from HRH. The boys were surprisingly unafraid, even scaredy-cat Toro. the only time they all disappeared (except for Bujang) was when the nephews mad e alot of noise running about and screaming. Aiyoh! What a din!

New cup of water...

The water tastes the same san...

I bought Megat a new cup for his water. Its much smaller and more stable and now we give him water in this cup as much as we can as he sits with us in the living room for long hours and the Catit is either near the kitchen or in my room. So he does not drink as much water as we need him to. I think this would help in some way to increase his water intake.

Some water please...

'Very Happy' by dazeychic

This is because my cat Megat decided that ...... he wanted to drink water from a cup...

...so I gave him some ice-cold water which... ...he drank for a full minute...

It all started when Cousin R put her glass of cold water on the table. Megat decided to investigate and seeing or smelling that it was water, he decided to drink of her glass. He drank quite abit. We thought it was funny but a fluke. Today, Megat sniffed at her glass again but we had to stop him as it was soda. I decided to get him some cold water and he drank again. So I think apart from his usual stops at the CatIt, I can also encourage him to drink more water this way. Btw, I decided that Megat will have his own cup, just like every bean in the house. The blue one would be his :)
