Saturday Easy

I am getting better. Thanks for all the purrayers and good thoughts that you have sent our way. I feel better and am eating more as well.

Okay so maybe in the mornings I still have some trouble eating but san feeds me with the syringes.  She said the food was all good - no grain from Taste of the Wild. It's salmon and chicken.
It has a picture of a BIG CAT. san says puma. I dunno. But san says I need to eat so I can have BIG CAT energy. She warms it a little and puts the food through a sieve mixed with a little Whiskers beef and chicken gravy. I usually finish all the food. But  during the day I do eat my renal kibble- a little at a time as is my wont.

I am still a little thin and I vocalise much more. I have some up and down days still but san has accepted this as I am already 17 years old and am sometimes unsteady on my feet. We both look forward to more up days that we know will come in the future.

Anyway san and I and all of us here are very pleased and we want to thank all you guys once again for helping us through this time. We know it would only get better. After all I did chase my sister yesterday. Although san was not pleased, she said she was glad I have the energy to do even that.
Ok san. It's time for a nap.

Yup. We are all glad especially me as I plan to ambush ...err..play wif him some time soon. I am making plans.

Annual checkups on Easy Saturday

After the vet, time to nap...

"Is Bujang in a good mood?" the vet asked. I told her that Bujang seemed relaxed this morning and he should be ok. It took some persuasion from me to get him on the vet's table and once on it, he kept still. The vet gingerly checked his ears and teeth and then we put him on the weighing scale. Oh dear. To mu surprise he got on it quietly. 7.75 kg!!! I expected Dr s to tell me about the neccessity of putting him on a diet but she didn't. In 2 years, he had put 1.75 kg from 6 kg 2 years ago.

Then it was time to trim the nails. All of us took a deep breath and the assistant held him gently. Dr S very gently told him he was a handsome boy and it would not hurt him to trim his nails. Then very quickly she did 3 nails before he growled a warning. Oh-oh! But with great dexterity, she cut the other two and then she let him take a breather. After a few seconds, she went to his other side and did the same. He growled once or twice but he did not struggle (unlike the time when Dr l had tried to trim his nails).

We all breathed a sigh of relief when all his front paws were done. i told the doc there was no need to trim his back paws. So we bundled him up and he relaxed in his carrier. :))

Ooo..I am so tired...

Dr S wanted to check Toro first as he always behaves himself at the vet and this time was no different. He was 5.63 kg. I guess that was quite ok for him although of course he should be 4 kg. She checked his ears and there was no mites. I was worrried that his ear mites problem was not solved as his left ear sometimes gets rather dirty. The doc saw that he had a little eczema on the left side of his head and gave me something for him.

Then the boys, Cousin R and I spent some time outside so they could see the streets of S but Bujang kept meowing. The people who came to see him all said 'wah..so big..". But Toro managed to win them over with his pretty blue eyes and good looks :)

I am glad it was not such a bad visit for the boys.

Little steps...

Ok. I can do this now. Its not scary at all...

This is the 2nd time that he has very confidently gone up on these seats. I think before he was a little nervous of the kitties and also of the space. But nowadays, he could manage to get up (when none of the other kitties are on it) and when I am in the room with him. He also managed to play with the DaBird lure that I had tied to the grills :) Way to go Megat!
I had gone to the vet for the 2 boys and went to the pharmacist to ask about the Hartman's. She said they do not carry because of the volume that they would have to order. The pharmacist did say that they can get me the Eprex 1000 with a presciption and I have to wait 3 days. She was not able to tell me the price though!! Hrumphh! Time to ask another pharmacist :)

Easy Saturday

Toro taking the breeze on saturday afternoon...

He takes a great deal of pleasure in the breeze and likes the way the DaBird silver lure rustles in the wind :)
