san's Helper

Ok san. I fink we do this first. Yup... (pat..pat...)

I like your new linen. It reminds me offur the garden. Btw maybe we can go there again..sometime...

I fink the bed is done. I can stretch myself and there is no crease on the bed. Good work san...

Toro's blanket is the pink one. I had bought this from IKEA and he liked it a lot. The only other kitty that sleeps here is Megat but only in the morning when Toro is not there. The other blanket is where Tanaka sleeps and Bujang too when he feels like it :) But when Bujang decides to sleep on the pink blanket, Toro would sleep on the other one and poor Tanaka would be forced to sleep on the cat seat :)Posted by Picasa

Freaked- out Friday

WHAT? Is this the last time I will be able to do this?
This is truly the last picture I have of him on the Marukan.
I think you should have told me sooner san..now I have nowhere to lay my hat!

Bujang's new sanctuary in the computer room...ok I have to remove the fork and spoon combo thingee :)

Kevin came yesterday with the laundry and took the Marukan cage with him. Bujang was sitting on the Marukan when I wheeled it to the living room and he had to be persuaded to get off :) He was rather attached to the Marukan. But now we have more space in the computer room and he is getting used to sleeping on a side table of sorts. Posted by Picasa

Caged News

Zzzz on sunday....
This is the first time Toro could get on top of this cage for a nap :)
I am now trying to see if anyone wants this old cage although Toro has only now managed to get up on it for his naps. Previously when it was outside, he was unable to jump to the top because of his short legs. Now that he can get up using the various chairs and bookcase, he could use it more frequently :)
The amigos don't really sleep in cages. It is only Megat and Ms Akira. Megat as he is very naughty and grandma does not trust that he would be able to keep out of mischief if he was left to his own devices. I cannot have Megat in the room with me as he would make sure that no one else gets to sleep on the blankets. The I would have 3 unhappy boys. So Megat sleeps in his own cage at night at about 11.00 pm and gets out at about 5.30 am to be Lord of the manor all day.
Ms Akira does not like sleeping with the boys and she would yell and tell me off continuously. I had tried a few times to allow her to sleep out of the cage but she refuses. Once in the cage, she relaxes and would actually sleep on her back as she feels quite secure that none of the boys would be on her case. I rescued her from the SPCA and she is used to sleeping in cages I think. Grandma does not feel easy if I let her roam the house unsupervised at night and she does not like the boys so to keep everyone happy, she has to be in her cage. That was why I got her a bigger cage so she could have a lot more space.
The three boys, Bujang, Toro :) Tunabelly and Rocket sleep with me in the room. they have their own blankets and baskets so they are very happy. Everyone knows their place in the household :)

New sleeping quarters

Bujang giving the new cage a thorough inspection...

*sniff* looks good...

We want to see too please...We have yet to say yes...

Ok I think this is good and comfortable...

The final look....

Megat's new cage arrived on time and I got it ready for Megat. The boys were not too sure if the cage was comfortable enough. I told them it was only for sleeping and Megat needed a new and bigger place as he needs his litter bin too. Bujang decided to inspect it thoroughly as only a cat knows if it would suit a cat :) He sniffed and looked at each corner and told me it was okie. Tanaka and Toro also came to give their 2 cents worth. Tanaka of course was pleased with the new place and gave his enthusiastic approval. I finally decided to remove the seating plank as it would not allow Megat the space to laze about. I put his soft toy in it, gave him a new mat and fresh litter. Megat did not protest and took to his sleeping quarters very well :)
I have since moved Tanaka's cage in the room with the boys. Apart from the ruckus and loud protests for the first few days, things went without much ado. The first day was very bad for all of us. His loud scratchings, protests and rattling of the cage made Toro and me nervous. Bujang was not at all perturbed and so I just left Tanaka to protest. After some hours of intermittent protests, he gave up. The 2nd night was milder. He made some feeble protests on the 3rd night and tonight (or morning) he did not even utter a meow. I guess he knows there was nothing he could do and I would not give in to anything and has decided to make peace :)

Training

I don't see why I need to do as san says...I am a cat!

I have been trying to persuade Tanaka and the boys that 3 is not a crowd to little success. 3 days in a row, I had put Tanaka with Bujang and Toro so they could all find a place to sleep in the room. Tanaka is still too young to rest and relax and Toro gets very unsettled whe Tanaka is around. He growls and screams and scolds me at every turn. Tanaka of course tried to bully him into playing but Toro is quite used to our routine and did not care for Tanaka's routines at all. It was interesting that Bujang was not at all involved in the dramatics and Tanaka did not even try to get near Bujang at all :)
Finally I had to put Tanaka back in his green quarters as Toro started scratching on the door, begging to be let out. He must really be desperate! But I will perservere and continue until I can get the 3 boys to sleep peacefully, each in his own space, in the room. But it is going to take some doing!
