Thursday with Rezki

We have been trying to remind Rez that calmness and peace are good things to have in a family and he has been learning this quite well. He has taken to telling stories to the 2 boys which all of them enjoy. Yesterday he sat with both grandma and Cousin R.
Then he decided to give me some of his attention as well.

Fern about Rezki: He also said thank you for the ride (I brought all 4 of them out last Saturday morning). He's proud that you saw them all be nice and calm together. He said he talked to Tanaka again about his adventures in the old day. (I am glad he realises that he is in a better situation and its a different life that he has now). Bujang also enjoyed the story. SO I asked him to do this again as it bonds them togather. He said some parts that Poppy overheard him and she said he was exaggerating.

Reincarnation...already??

As usual on the 4 Oct this year, Fern helped us to reach Megat to ask him what has been happening. Last year, he told us that he was already on his way back (!!!) Woah! I thought it would take years to  do this (Totoro is still not sure where he will be any time soon). Last year, he showed Fern that he would be back as a black cat still although he was disappointed and a little sad that he would be back as a commcat. He gave a picture of him rustling around some bins. I was very disappointed and I remembered being quite upset as he had such a hard life and now he would still have hard life somewhere where I could not even help him. But I thought that I would ask again this year only to be told that I actually had him in my house and now he was somewhere else again.
and yes....it seems this is Megat in the guise of a cute black female kitty Ren. When we had Ren in our house for that one day, Fern told me that Ren may be Megat in spirit but I was not so sure. So I sent her to board at another place and had of course kept up with her activities and made sure that she is comfortable and safe where she was. It did surprise me when we first got her that she appeared from nowhere and there were no notices for a kitten where she was found and door to door searches brought nothing. Was it merely coincidence or fate that brought Ren to my cousin's door and for my cousin to be the one who found her?

I can only say that she is now adopted into a loving family with her own bff and she has grown into a lovely and very loving kitty. When she was a younger kitty, she was already giving the boarder nose kisses at every moment. Megat did also say some years ago that when he comes back he would come back as a healthy kitty so he would have a better life (although he did tell me that life with me was pretty special already). I am a little sad that he is not with me but I am happy that he is not alone and uncared for, living the life of a commcat. Megat also understoold from our communications previously that the house was kind of 'crowded' already.
Rezki: Yes Megat. It is my time now with san. You stay with your new family please.

ps. I know for some the idea of reincarnation may seem a little fat-fetched but it has given me some comfort nevertheless.

Monday Mood

Today we thought it would be nice to hear what he has to say to Fern about his behaviour.

Rezki: He gave me a lot of curiosity and a lot of energy level that he loves to be all over the place. When I asked him not to attack Bujang or frighten Tanaka and do not go too near to the girls, he said that's really boring. He said he wanna play and run around, but he didn't know why they all were very quiet and they have no activity! I explained to him that they just wanted to relax and have some rest. However, I praised him that he's was a very good boy that when Grandma called, he went to be near her. He said grandma is kind, he likes her (energy feeling very warm from your mum to Rezki).

Rezki said when he's excited and in a playful mode, he also meows. He didn't understand why people don't like meowing. I told him like what you suggested about licking lips or yawning when he gets stressed or uncertain, he said he didn't know about that. So I asked him to practice doing it.

TGIF

We would like to wish everyone a good year of the Monkey. I was not pleased that San chose me as the monkey mascot as I thought Tanaka would be a better choice. But San said since I was becoming increasingly much more agile after my fever, it would bring me more and more luck as well. I told Fern that ever since my fever I had lost some weight and I now am able to enjoy myself more being lighter as well. My face is also much better with the Argasol wipes. So maybe it's true. I would be the best mascot for my family.

Tuesday Thots for all

As usual the amigos had Reiki on Sunday. Popps was very cheerful and we were glad she could joke about it as well.

Poppy: She feels better and joked that her body feels lighter and can run faster now. [on 27 Dec 2015, she was 5.2 and one week after that she was 4.7 kg] She said has a bit of nausea sometimes but don't worry. I asked how she felt that B looked after her. She said he wanted to know if she was weak and he could chase her or not. But I know she appreciated him.

Bujang: I thanked him for being caring to P. He said he must look after everyone but he was quite surprised that her symptoms lasted longer than he expected. He himself was ok and I praised him for being so brave and cooperative at the vet last week taking subq. He sighed.
Tanaka: He was cheerful when I spoke to him and sweet. He said you were caught up with Poppy's condition and he was concerned. He hoped P didn't get worse as he quite likes P still even though they haven't been close.
Akira: She was fine and peaceful. Felt like resting and relaxing. She said things come back to normal at home and that's good.

As usual we thank Fern for helping them through this and also to remind me that the amigos are such funny cats.

Easy Peasy Sunday Thanks

This is the last Sunday of 2015. We would like to give thanks for our health and even though our year end blood tests were not as good as we wanted, at least none of us were in very serious trouble. Bujang, Tanaka and Popps kidney values were a little higher but only just. So our acupuncturist Dr Oh will adjust our medications. San agreed with Dr Oh that we should not begin on the Fortekor just yet as that is long term medication and not easy to wean us off it.

The only one of us who has to get the SubQ was Bujang and yes he did allow San to give him the fluids and he did take the new herbal meds quite easily as long as San does the SubQ 'quickly and with no pain'. When it comes to TCM Bujang said 'a bit only dont give him too much at a time. Else he spits out.' So at least San had this covered.

The only one who has not gone to see the vet is Akira. She will go next week. We hope she will be just fine.

To end this Sunday, San thought that it would be nice to leave you with our thoughts this morning after our reiki with Fern. But before that we would like to wish you a very good week ahead full of love and warmth with family.

Fern:
Bujang: He was a bit sleepy and was relaxed. I praised him a lot for taking meds and injection. He just looked at me and didnt say anything. I know he understands why he needs to do this. Sometimes he may get annoyed while you try to administer those things though.

Akira: She is OK but quite lively today which I'm glad. She said something about fish. I saw whole fish. She was quite interested. She said B was a little embarrassed towards her and P that the boss like him was pinned down to take those meds :). A said to him that for her and P no problem now! :))

Tanaka: He was quite aloof today during the session but overall he was fine. Bored as usual and looking for actions. He was cute and at the end of session he was sweet and reached over to kiss my hand!!  Oh he said he enjoyed the food!

Poppy: She was alert and active. Good mood and peaceful. She said she is happy.

Have a good final week for 2015 everyone.

Monday Mood

                  Adjustment

This morning I got to be the one who is outside in the morning. It was strange  but I got to sit with San in the morning. Yesterday Tanaka hit me on the behind again even though he was told many times not to be so naughty. San thought if he understands what it feels like in the room he would be a better kitty with me.

San asked Fern to explain it to him as he thought otherwise he would be confused and not know why he was there.

Tanaka: he was mixed with guilt and some playfulness when talked to him. I reminded him not to chase and disturb A. Also I let him know new arrangement. He felt bit surprised and unhappy though he knows why. He said A so uptight. And after that he stopped talking to me. Healed him with focus more on emotion. He was quiet.

Akira: She said T was teasing her and asked if she was ok with him now? Then she got annoyed and afraid he would disturb her and then he did. She felt he never left her alone and became stressed. I told her of new arrangement. She felt relieved and thanked you for doing this for her. I healed her mind to calm her too but can feel she felt it's unexpected though not scared now.

Bujang: He said he tried to stop T by warning him but the boy just too naughty so he couldnt do anything much. I asked him try to talk to T. He said he talked to A to comfort her already.

I don't know why he is so naughty San.

Monday Mood

We have been walking downstairs more these past few weeks. Bujang. Tanaka and even Popps ventured downstairs for a change in scenery. However last Saturday, Popps absolutely refused to wear her harness and I was very puzzled. I tried (probably for much longer than I should) and she struggled and scratched me. Then Bujang actually hit her on her behind and she became very quiet. I was able to put her down gently and all of us rested for a bit. However, the whole of Sunday afternoon, Popps decided to just stay in the kitchen.

Last night, as usual, they had Reiki and conversations with Fern.
Poppy: She said she wanna go for walks or in trolley but doesn't want to go back to her old place anymore.

Fern: She gave me an unsettling/reluctant feeling when telling me this. And she doesn't like to wait to go out as 2nd or 3rd. I told B has to go first as we all show him respect in that sense. She listens and softened.

Poppy: She said she was sorry she hurt you yesterday and feels bad about it. But still has slight upset.

Bujang:  He said he was happy. I asked him if he hit p's bottom. He said yes, no one can hurt you (if he is there) He thanked you for walking him. His back feels fine.

I thought I should only bring Popps out at the end of the week to allow her to calm down for a bit. But I am grateful that Bujang feels the need to protect me and that Popps is fine. She still thinks she should be first in all things but she is learning slowly that inside living is just as complicated as outside living, although much more safe.

And finally...

Monday Mood

We have been trying to get Bujang to relax so his back would hurt less. It seems finally he is beginning to realize this.

Bujang: He told me he understands better now that he should become wiser and calmer so that the kitties will respect him. He said he would try to do that with P, not to trouble her. He seemed very gentleman-ish as he spoke like that. I told him we know he is very good and wise. On a seoarste note, he said the laundry from upstairs neighbors flew past yr unit the other day and he loved to watch it. He was peaceful before and after the healing. He felt contented.

Saturday Easy

I asked Fern to tell him that he should not bite my cheeks or my chin when he sniffs at me at night. He has taken to sniffing me before he sleeps or get ready for his night snuggle. It could be pretty painful as well.

He had this to say about it:

T said then how would u know he loves you? (if not bite)? i said kiss kiss and sniff sniff are ok and that way Mummy knows. He said you smell good he feels like biting (love bite: happens a lot in cats to their humans ).

I think he may be smelling treats as I usually give them treats before bed time.

Easy Peasy Sunday

This Sunday San thought she would have us tell you our philosophy. Or if we have yet to think about it, San would write on our behalf.

But first we thank San for our

This is our second week. Although we know San looks at us anxiously as she thinks we will lick our fur bald in one day, we thank her for letting us have this day.

Now for the rest of the entries.
This is because he was chased by Popps three times last week for being 'irritating'.
Cos last week she 'lost her cool' with Tanaka. She got 'fed up' with his questions.
Bujang's last say to everybody last week. He told Fern that he had already reminded Tanaka to think before he acts.
       Have a good Sunday everybody.

ps. We hope our good friend Fern is in less pain today. She has a slip disc although we think it's worse than our brother Bujang's. At least Bujang can walk about. Rest well Fern.

Easy Peasy Sunday Thanks

This is a pic of me sleeping at the window this morning. It was nice to be here to catch the morning breeze. But
Yesterday I was here for some time. This is taller but not so breezy so I sat here for a bit only. If you have been reading san's blog about me, you know that she thinks I am Bossy Boots and I am not much of a talker but you would be surprised. I had told 2 stories already. I think I am on a roll...
But before I tell you another story about my life, San said I should do the Sunday Thanks. Okie.

We all give thanks that San never lets us out by ourselves. So the chances of us getting captured in traps and sent to Animal Control to go to the bridge before our time is NIL. Last night San and her friend went house to house to put in flyers for a cat who was at Animal Control and the kitty was going to the bridge  next week. But we are thankful that one hour after they had given the flyers, the kitty's owners called Animal Control to get him back. So all is well for them both.

Popps told me the story of her life downstairs. Some kids chased her and were rough with her and she had to hide in the drain. I think that was very terrifying and I am glad I have a home and now Popps also has a home with me.
I heard Popps telling Akira this story. I think she is very brave. I think it's pretty hard to live outside so I am thankful for my life. Going to see Adrian yesterday was not so bad. He drained my lymphatic system and so I don't get clogged up because of the haze. I also got a nice massage on my leg muscles. Adrian asked San if I would allow people to kiss me. San said she thought I would BUT I need to tell her that I only allow her to kiss me and I will only kiss her (it's more like sniffing me close to my face). No one else please.
I told Akira the story because I thought she would like to hear it. And I was quite bored anyway.
I am glad they are all finding their own space and finding out that living in a family is not so bad. I can now rest more and don't have to be 'Bujang' all the time. I can just be one of them. That is what I am thankful for.

Tuesday Thots

Tanaka: He was so cute  and funny. He said he is fine and he said finally Popps shared a story of her when  she was outdoor- that she ran from a fierce cat who chased her very far everywhere, and she finally found a place to hide and survived. P also said to T that T wouldn't have made it! T was impressed and said she's cool. Though he added he wont get near her too much as her moods are up and down!

Poppy: She said she is ok and she told T her story do that he stopped asking. She didn't share the story with B and A, though.

In the haze situation, Popps is not able to sit by the window for the breeze so she has taken to resuming her previous preoccupation with prayer mats. Yesterday I caught her lolling about here,

Easy Peasy Sunday

Today I thought I should begin the entry. I am rather tired of wearing the collar and San told me that I was just under training. In a one week she would have a break and then I would have to wear it for 12 hour days. I think that's rather excessive. She said not so considering I have licked  the underside of my forearms as well.
Did you notice my new collar. My sisfur Akira also has a new one. San bought this sharp collar for Bujang and I but he has not worn his yet.  San said since I have my sharp collar on, I should be able to find an office job to pay for food. These beans fink they are too funny!
Yesterday I got to go down for a walk but we were surprised there were no pigeons to look at. San brought some cat food but there were no birds to feed. Then she saw this:
It seems we were not allowed to feed the birds anymore. However later on a sudden flurry of small birds came on the grass. San saw that someone was flinging bits of bread from the window. But it was no fun as I liked the pigeons best.
I have been helping my doctor to model for cat massage. He didn't actually give me a real massage but went through the motions only. He said it was easy for the other people to see as I am a white kitty. 'But I don't care about cats needing massages ".  It was good fun though. Something else to do.
We are gradually getting used to the idea of collars and sharing space but we still have some trouble with it. But San said it would get easier later on. We will see.

Easy Peasy Sunday

We have had some difficulties with sharing the bedroom. Bujang thinks it's his, Popps wants to use BOTH the seats and Tanaka is anxious he is going to lose his space. Oh dear.  But as before we are taking it very slowly. The only one who is not bothered is Ms Akira :)
Popps has had quite an eventful week beginning with her sessions as a cat model for the acupuncturist. Since she is white, he said it would be easier for clients to see the actual massage.

Popps: I praised her about modelling and helping vet n  other cats. She said she felt important and was the center of attention! BUT P said she doesnt bother about helping other cats who need massages. :) She reminds me of a very tough Big Sister who is used to life on the streets.
Akira is not much bothered by the new arrangement of living spaces as it doesn't affect her at all. She is going through the days getting stronger and less bothered by events around her which is a good thing. She didn't complain about the color anymore so I guess she is resigned to it.

Tanaka is the one who is most affected by the new arrangement and by the fact that Popps insists on using BOTH the seats and would run him off the room. His  curiosity continues to give all his sisters and Bujang problems.

Tanaka: He is quite feeling low but still optimistic. He said he would just stay with you then if P doesnt him to be near. He said he asked Popps lots of things as he was bored and wanted to chat. He felt she is cool and tough- all those years thus he wanna know how it's like being outside
Bujang has resumed acupuncture treatments again. He hated it and yesterday he yelled and swore at the vet. But the vet was able to put the basic needles on his back. Bujang spent the rest of the time fuming. Of cos he is still bullying Popps no end.

Bujang: He said he wanted to remind P that he was watching and still in charge and yes he saw her too relaxed and too happy in his place. I said this is all yr home to share and you are family. He said he is bored and didnt want to talk about this. He knows it though, I can tell. About acupuncture, he said leave him alone and he doesnt wanna go any more. I said it helps him he said he doesnt think so.

I have to try to convince him that if he relaxes and allows the doctors to help him, he would have to spend less time with them. But he doesn't think this a good idea at all. :))

Monday Mood

                         Why?

Akira: She said she didn't like the collar as she couldn't  see on the sides and the back. I explained why she had to wear it. She said whats wrong with licking her paws/legs? So I said don't do that so much as she would lose her hair. She said it didn't matter.

She only has it on after TCM. She usually sleeps in the afternoon and so won't be licking her fur off. It's only after dinner and TCM that she does it more. When she sleeps at night I take it off.  I suppose I should make her wear it all day but I think slowly does it. She has learnt how to walk with it without stumbling and how to climb with it. She has also eaten with it on but I saw that she would not eat much of the little that she does eat. Once she has figured out how to get on my lap  with it, I think it will be ok to put it on for a longer period.

We did it!

Since it was my first Hari Raya San thought it would be good for my to tell you what I thought about it.

Poppy: She said she didnt like the noise and people disturbing her. I explained it's new year thus family visited. She said hope not too often.

I was quite ok when there was no one but my family in the house. I didn't like it when there were strangers. San changed my flower as she said the first one was rather dark for me. Flower or not, I hope this would not be the way things are from now on.

Akira was quite ok as she spent the day before playing with Bujang and the Friday in her room. She wanted to get out but I told her it was better she was inside as the day may get very noisy.
San was right. So I was glad to be away from all of it.

Akira:  I asked whether she liked the flower on her collar, she said she knew it's nice thats why you let her wear it.

Tanaka: He said he was happy and relaxed. He wondered why B got all attention, though. He said he was ready to be admired by the guests. But he didnt say this because of jealousy.

Bujang: He said He knew it's special occasion and felt tired and wasnt quite sure what the kids wanted from him.
Otherwise, he was fine and peaceful and hoped the special day went well.

Bujang was a good host and entertained the kids. He also sat with grandma afterwards as Grandma had a headache from the noise.

All in all I am very glad that the kitties survived it as well as they did. There was some stress but later they all slept it away. We are a very quiet family and not really used to a sudden rush of people and noise at all.
