Today's post is about giving thanks. San said I should be the first to post as I was a little naughty and had fought with my sister Akira on Friday night. As a result Akira had hurt her eye a little ... not much at all. Ok I should not have fought at all. I am sorry Akira.
San put some antibiotic cream on it and now it is ok. San asked me why I did it and I told Fern that I was bored. San was surprised and told me that being bored was just part of life at home and violence was not the answer. She told me perhaps I could find my own entertainment or think about how to keep peace in the house without using violence. Hmmmmm... that sounds like a lot of mumbo jumbo. Then she said she would take me for a walk and give me my red cube back. I was sorry and really, I am thankful I have a home as she told me that being bored was any time much better than being chased and hurt by other cats downstairs. And so I should stop hurting my family as I knew what that would feel like. I told her I would think about it again.
This is our family photo of the week. I went outside for abit yesterday as san wanted me to have a more varied day so I won't get bored. But I didn't like it much and so we went home quite quickly. My brother Bujang spent much of the week lazing about as he said he wanted to rest. My brother Tanaka, whom I also tried to aggravate last Friday decided to use his time wisely to supervise the weekend cleanup. Lastly my sister Akira spent the whole day outside. She was very happy and I did not disturb her at all. I spent my whole day here ...in tranquility
We said we had some news about Jeffrey but we are afraid to say that he was very shy with the potential adopters and spent much of the visit under the cages. He ran away from them and did not even sit with them for any time at all. San thinks he may not manage a trial stay with these people who came to see him but she told him that there would be other people and other chances. Maybe later, he may learn to be a little more sociable. This month, he has 3 events to go to where he can learn to be with strangers and get better. San is glad that all the events would be indoors.
I considered all this, especially the part about Jeffrey still having to look for pawrents who would love him. I already have a family who loves me. I must agree with san that my life is now very good with my family. So I think I should say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone. I am truly happy to be here except sometimes I just get a little bored and my family is just there for me to bully...errr play with.
We'll keep our paws crossed for Jeffrey!
ReplyDeletePopps, Maui is a pesty kitty too when he gets bored...he requires a lot of play time daily. Mommy whines about it, but it works!
We feel bad for Jeffrey. People should understand why he would be so shy after the life he has had. Learning to trust is so hard... We can see that with our Traveller. As for you, Popps, you are one very lucky girl. You do have a great family and we hope that, in time, you will learn to be good about sharing space with them. In the meantime, we are thankful that you can appreciate the value of a family.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Popps, maybe you could attack your toys instead of poor Miss Akira. But it sounds like you four had a good weekend. Poor Jeffrey. People should understand new kitties need a few days or even weeks to feel comfortable in new places. With time and patience we are sure Jeffrey will become a friendly and social cat.
