Today our Rainbow Kitty Megat would have turned the Big 18 and we want to wish him happiness at the Bridge. We are still trying to figure out our place in our new household as so much of our time really revolved around him. We still have his soft toy out, in the window seat as he liked being there in the afternoons but of course that seat is now taken by Tanaka who likes to spend his afternoons in the quiet of the room. In this post we are putting up a few of his pictures from Dec 2006 as we thought it would be good to just visit him again.
This picture was taken on the 14th of December 2006. I had to put him in the cage as much for his protection as safety for the 3 kitties I had then, Toro included.
This was what our family looked like with all the kitties outside. This was before the BIG fight Megat had with Akira. Bujang was nowhere to be seen as Bujang was afraid of Shaolin Megat (as we had called him then.
Megat was smart and figured out the only way he would be allowed to stay was to get into grandma's good books- which he did :)
This was what he looked like then, when we had rescued him all those years ago.
After about 6 years that he was our dear kitty, he transformed to look like this. This was taken about 6 months before he went to the bridge.
Of course I had asked Michelle, to speak with him at the bridge about a month after he passed and I had asked him how it was there and what his job was.
Megat (the Bridge): There are many of us here, you feel shaken up, don't worry I am fine.
Megat (his job): Welcome, come along in, meet and greet. (I guess he is welcoming animals to the bridge. This was very different from what he would have done here.He was very protective of his space)
Today of course is also the day that we donate food to shelter cats and so I think that is what we would do to celebrate his birthday.
HAPPY PURRSDAY AT THE BRIDGE MEGAT
You are always with us.
How wonderful to see Megat again--apparently we kitties CAN learn new tricks as evidenced by his new "job". It makes us glad to know that Megat is happy on the next plane...Happy Bridge Birthday, Megat!
