How much sleep does a cat need in a day?

Tanaka Tuesday

 I do not know why I am in the room. I want to get out to play.

 B: Its because you are very naughty and chase after Akira all the time, I told you to give her some space. She is a girl and is complicated. (B said this to Laura, the animal communicator, last November)

But THIS is not my room. Its the 'little girl's room'. I am furry good all the time. I have the natural curiosity of cats.
san: I told you many times and now I'm telling you that f you chase her or attempt to chase her when both of you are outside, you will be on timeout!

Hrumphhffff....I will fink about it!

Surprise!

Easy Peasy Sunday

As usual our best days are in the collage. We had some days outside which we enjoyed and our inside days were spent just lounging about. Ms Akira spent some time alone and some time with me on request.  She likes for the both of us to sit by the door and just relax looking at the world. 

Yesterday san found our hammock that she had hidden some place. She replaced the fleece and put it out. I was the first one on it and tested it for hammockibility. It was furry comfurtable. San puts it close to the family space so we can rest and be with our people and still be alone. I like it that we have choices. 

This was the first time I was on the hammock. I don't really like it when my feet do not touch ground or when I feel 'up in the air and rocking'. It was actually not too bad and I could actually rest in it safely. (After the first 10 to 15 minutes, he has not been on it again!)

As usual, san took our picture. She said its a good family portrait of two boys together. 

I also got some lap time. But these days I prefer sitting outside eventhough san was inside the room. Lap time is usually done inside my room when san works at the computer or she reads on the computer chair. I don't sit on her lap at any other time. 

By the way, today is the 1st day of Ramadan. San woke us all up at 4.30 am and gave us somefing to eat. The she had her pre-dawn breakfast of chicken salad and tea. We all had our usual breakfast. It was too early to do anyfing and so I am taking a nap on my hammock. I am glad cats do not have to fast at all unlike the beans in the house. Have a good Sunday effurybody. Time to zzz...

Saturday Easy

Actually in our house every day is an easy day for us. But san likes to show a post on Saturday that shows us at our easiest :)

This is me being easy, sitting with family and watching tv. This is our coffee table. I know some cats who are not allowed on coffee tables but in our house this is ok. But only I sit on the coffee table though. 

I plan to get some time to sit here. There is always a breeze. I. An take things easy as Tanaka would be in my room instead or sometimes san puts him in my night cage, which is just beside this cat seat, for a short time so we can sit together but separately. 

I always take things easy especially on a Saturday. Maybe I would go fur a walk although sometimes I do not want to eventhough san tried to get me to go out. Sometimes a mancat just likes taking it easy lounging in the house. 

        But we wish for effuryone a Big Saturday Easy.  

TGIF

We are happy that Friday is finally here for the weekend for everyone. San has to be in school for much of the day to prepare for the new school term though and so as we are hanging out at home, we will be thinking good thoughts for her. 

Thursday Thots

This week san said would be the last week that I get to go downstairs in the morning as she starts work next week. I made the most of the morning, eating grass that is still green and juicy. I was minding my own business until I saw this sign. 

 

             Hmmmmm I wonder if cats can get dengue! 

         

I decided to get into my carrier and see the world from inside it. You do not know what these mosquitoes will get up to. 

Wednesday Wonder

She likes sitting here when she is outside. She gets to look out the window and is partially hidden by the curtains. It's a pity there is not much to see outside this window. The sunbirds come in the morning  and after that there is nothing else but sporadic neighbours. Sometimes a butterfly or two would flutter among the yellow flowers and once a gangsta mynah bird strutted across the corridor. It's pretty quiet most of the time. 

Just Because

                   What's that sound san?

This morning there were little rumblings and grumblings of thunder. But no rain. Bujang does not like thunder and would hide under the bed for as long as he can hear it. As long as there is no one big bang he is still ok but would sit quietly in his corner and needs to be coaxed outside. 

Monday Mood

                             Quiet contemplation .....not!

                    Shenanigans....maybe. I will have to see. 

Easy Peasy Sunday

PThis is our Sunday picture. We are glad we could have new pictures for you, except for the one on the bottom right. San did not take many pictures of Ms Akira as she was in her room for many hours.

On Saturday we got to go out but in the afternoon it was so hot that we felt like napping. We napped until the cool evening. The hot season is here already. 

Bujang told Fern that his new red harness felt tight around his chest but he was willing to endure that as long as he could go walking. So I decided he should just use his new green harness. He was even willing to pose nicely in it. Now we have 2 boys with green harnesses. 

Tanaka was very tolerant when I had tried to take his pictures and I thought this would be a good one for Sunday. He has put on a little weight. He now likes sitting in front of the house so he can be outside and still see what goes on inside. He is a real Snoopervisor. 

Ms Akira was quite curious about the essences this morning and sniffed the box and the bottle. She is more relaxed these days, even when I was not home. But she has continued with the overgrooming and now even the top of her thighs are bald.

This mother and son were busy doing what families do. They followed us around and finally the mother settled to nurse her baby. She is very small. The owner of this guest house takes care of them and feed them with fresh mackerel and rice. I think the cats here are just one family as the other 2 have the same coloring. This guest house was in the middle of a big padi field so maybe it's more difficult for cats to get to. The other one that I stayed in was by the road and so much easier for cat to come inside looking for shelter and food.
