Silence is golden

Bujang: I was very glad that there are no more blaring messages around our neighbourhood. san says polling day is over and we have the results. san seems very pleased with it. So we spent the weekend just lazing about and sleeping the hot days in the ac :) I wonder what tomorrow will bring me...I hope some walkies if it doesn't rain in the evening.

Adopt Me Please

Cat_aunty rescued this kitty on polling day. She is alert and as of today, safe from any other hazard. She will be neutred and vaccinated but cat_aunty cannot adopt her as Empress Spencer would be very upset and there are all the other community kitties that come and go from the safe-house :)

It seemed Uncle saw a man pet her and driving off. We suspect that the man had abandoned this very pretty girl on polling day no less! So anyone who knows of anyone who can adopt such a pretty girl, please send word around. Cat_aunty says she is not very savvy and would not be able to cope with living the community cat life. Thanks.

Good night

Bujang was too tired to run about with the rest of the boys. I won't be bringing him to any more baths soon...maybe at the end of the year before his annual vet visit as I don't want him to scratch the vet. His rep at the vet's is "watch out". But I think because he is a scaredy kitty at heart and does not like strangers and strange noises. Last Dec he actually shivered in his carrier on the way to the vet. So Dr H, made the visit as short as possible so as not to stress him out.

What a racket!

The kitties are constantly shocked at the racket from the P** van asking us to vote. They are here about three times a day. But I was told by Cousin R that where she is, they are there constantly, spekaing through phones and loud hailers. Vote P** they say.

Hrumphhhh we say. Too much noise for us. We are voting candidate Tanaka from the Fish Party. he promised us treats although we think he would ask san for some ..hahaha

May Day Clean Up

Totoro: I was not pleased san broughted me to the groomer yesterday. She was furry EVIL!
But I knew she would do whatever I said because she feels B_A_D about making me go to Felicia. So I made her groom me over and over and over and brush my fur again and again.

The day ended furry well as I got furry sleepy and the had agood nap.

Toro was a little tired and as soon as we got home from the groomer yesterday. He cleaned himself up, asked for many scritches as a reward for behaving very well and promtly fell asleep. he only woke up for dinner at about 6 and then slept again on the couch after that. He didn't even wake up when grandma tapped him on the head!

I made an appointment for Bujang for Monday. I warned Felicia that he was much heaveir at 7.3 kg and his nails were very long and sharp. Undaunted Felicia said that if she could not cut his nails, at least she could give him a bath. I said ok as Bujang has not been given a bath for about 2 years. I hoped thinsg would go well.

The Bath for Bujang

Bujang was NOT pleased that I had tricked him into the carrier today 2 May. I made sure he wore his harness and then persuaded him into the carrier. He knew he was not going for walkies when there was no stroller, only waiting for the cabbie!! WROARRR!!!
After his bath, which took 2 hours, he was surprisingly calm and allowed Sister N to scratch him behind his ears.

He got very sleepy and rested on his favourite perch. He was looking very clean indeed.

Felicia the groomer managed to cut his nails for a bit. WOW!! Not even the vet could do this! Felicia said that he's gotten a little more mellow now that he is older. I dread to think what a terror he was in his younger days. Felicia is the only groomer who could give him a bath. he had been going to Felicia's from when he was about 6 months so she knows his very well indeed.

We are all so pleased that his nails are a little shorter and that he was not very angry after his bath. Instead he sat calmly in his carrier and looked at the cars on our way home. I was a little surprised at this to tell you the truth but its all good.

Just Because

I stumbled on this very pretty picture of Ms Akira when she was a frisky little kitten as I was re-reading an older entry. This was before Toro, Megat or Tanaka came to live with us. Then she has only Bujang and they became fast friends. Now of course she is a calmer kitty but she lives in a more confined space of her Princess Room [thanks cat_aunty] (see entry below) and comes out to walk about only when I put the boys in the bedroom.

Thursday Thots

only quiet ones with san...

I want to be Prime Minister

Tanaka: Yesh, I fink being Prime Minister will be furry nice. He would get lots of money to buy lots ofur treats fur himself.

san: No, he needs to work for the country

Tanaka: Would he be able to buy treats fur himself even if he does that?

san: I guess so.

Tanaka: Then I fink I would make a good Prime Minister as I will buy treats fur every cat in the world :)

PS: We are having our General Elections next week and the whole country is gettng quite excited because for the first time in our histroy, every constituency will be contested, except of course the one belonging to the Senior Minister.

Tanaka: Then san, I fink I would rather be the Senior Minister.

san: !!
