5. Momo’s day Outside

I found the Outside to be very interesting although very hot. We went on the same trail as San said we kitties could then compare notes, which we did. At first I sat behind The Chairman (teddy) as I needed to feel more secure but later I just ignored him. I saw the same old birds that I had seen from outside my window but we had to take a winding trail as we were blocked many times by the workmen who were now painting the other flats. When I came home I was panting from the heat. San stopped for about 1/2 an hour under some trees so we could cool off but it didn’t work too well. San said perhaps next week she would bring us out at 6.30 am - the time she would have gone out to work. Hmmm…we need to tell San that would be too early for us. 

4. Family

 I would need to be very careful with Sky. When she is at the window I usually stay clear of her as she has big paws and sometimes slaps me when she is irritated. But momo and me are bffs. 

3. My Day Outside

 

I had to take a long rest when I got home from Outside. San said we went out for a whole hour. I saw one rooster and a hen. San  didn’t go near them. I was very quiet when we were out as I wanted to see many things. I made sure that I looked at san when there was a loud noise  so I was not afraid. It was a very good morning. 

1. Easy Peasy Sunday

 We went out in the morning at about 8. San and I went around the path to the park but it was under renovation. It was hot so san sat on the green seats to have some watermelon while I looked at the people walking. Later san asked me if I liked being out. I told her it was weird to have cats and crows look at me. I was a little frightened by that.

Easy Peasy Sunday

It will be a quiet Sunday as there would be no painters about. I prefer quiet Sundays to wind down the week and I get to listen to the sounds outside. I heard a very loud bird call. San told me it was a rooster. I asked her if it was inside like us. She said it may be a wild one from the park.

 The mynah visited us this  morning. It stood on our window ledge and lectured us on the rudeness of staring at strangers. We thought the mynah was the rude one. But mama said we should just enjoy it as it may not visit us again. 

Forever Loved

Sky: Finally, San is ready to show our memorial garden. I hope you're ready for a long post. I'm here for a reason—this garden belongs to me too. Our special space is next to our commcat brother, Megat. He passed about 11 years ago. His kitten has wings now, as he is our commcat angel, having once been a commcat himself before he lived with San.

 The first row belongs to FatBoy. He was the first commcat San cared for. He was fierce and loved to eat, so San gave him a Pixiu with a big fish. It's a lion that protects souls.

The second kitty belonged to Minah. She was a sweet cat who loved my brother, Bujang.

The third kitty is a little golden kitten. This one is mine, as it represents my four kittens who passed away before I even saw them. We were all very sick back then. San asked Akira to bring them to the Bridge, as they weren’t even a day old. Akira didn’t like having four kittens trailing after her too much, but I was grateful they made it safely to the Bridge.

San said she was once told that sometimes cats get lost—like FatBoy—and need a special service and a guide. So she gave FatBoy one and asked my rainbow brother, Totoro, to guide him.

The last kitty angel is for Baby. A commcat feeder left her at our house, waiting for someone to take her to the vet, but she passed. San and I were with her, so I think she wasn’t afraid.

San says it’s good for a bridge commcat to have a place to come home to. It brings great relief.

The votes are in…

As a concerned catizen I asked san to tell me the results of the GE. She said there were no surprises overall but she was glad there would be greater representation for all. There were the usual grouses and insults but we would have to wait for the next GE to see real change.  I told her she would be over seventy and I would be 10 years old by then. She sighed and asked me if I wanted a treat. YAY!!! (But I think she was just trying to stop me from asking more questions!). 
 

Finally Friday

This morning I decided to sit on Sky’s scratcher. She was napping next to San and didn’t notice me. It was nice and spacious. No wonder she  likes it so much. Mine is much smaller though. I will have to ask San to get me one as well. 
 

What’s all that noise San?

 We heard the truck announcing the general elections several times today. San told us it was going to be on Saturday and so the truck announcing the elections will roll tomorrow as well. I am curious to see the results as I am also a Singapore catizen.
