I will have to supervise more on the weekend so will be resting here for a bit. 

It's time for shenanigans. I need to plan this carefully. 

Just Us

I think he noticed a bug but he didn't feel like chasing it. 

The both of us just relaxicating on the kitchen floor. 

He was on timeout for slapping Bujang and upsetting him. After a few minutes of meowing, he was quiet and I left him to it. After about 20 minutes or so I decided to just hang out with him in the kitchen. He was calm and relaxed and enjoyed some treats. 

He got a new collar. I thought a dash of garden would be nice as his collars had always been very mancat-ish before. 

No kitten for me

One of those special times where I sat at the cat gym quietly to observe the goings on. The human told me that it may not be possible for her to find me a kitten. We have many activities as well, with the Acupuncturist and have TCM for CKD. Ms Akira has pancreatitis. 3 of us go to see Adrian for bone adjustment and tightness of our  muscles as we are now more sedentary than before. We also have Fern once a week for Reiki. So for right now, she will try to encourage me to play by myself and maybe show me a video of what 'play' looks like as opposed to being aggressive. But she thinks if a kitten really needs a home (an no one else will take it in) she may consider it....maybe.

Even though Popps also had problems with adjustment, she was already about 10 when we adopted her. So she prefers just lying about and napping these days. Popps doesn't like noise and would reprimand Rezki when he is meowing noisily. But now she just leaves him alone as long as he does not 'disrespect' her or make too much noise.

Sunday Special

The two girls are fine and have found a way to work together to combat the Ninja. They will scream at him first if he comes anywhere near them and he would stop and skulk away. If that doesn't work, the would go towards him menacingly and growl. Usually that is quite enough to scare him a bit and he would leave them in peace. 

The boys have it much worse. They have not figured out what to do. Bujang of course thinks he is young and will learn and so have not been very fierce with him although he admits that he is 'not as patient as before' and Tanaka has decided to keep himself away as much as he can from the Ninja. This of cos has resulted in Rezki being lonely and he goes around meowing mournfully. But the boys know this is a ploy to get them out so he could chase them with his fur and tail bristling. 

Just Because

Then I thought this is the best picture from yesterday. He sat here cuddling with me but only for a few minutes. 

And then he decided to wait and see what it felt like just relaxing here. I guess he felt it wasn't so bad as he came up again to hide behind me at medicine time.

It has finally happened. Akira very bravely hopped up onto the cat seat without fear of Popps. She took her time to settle down and Popps merely looked at her and looked away. I think this is a good sign that Akira is comfortable with Popps and looks at Popps as a companion. 

Bujang on the other hand was a little concerned and decided to keep an eye on both. He is a good Guardian of our galaxy.

Rez 5 minutes ago resting like an innocent baby. He had just chased Tanaka all over the living room. Tanaka is rapidly finding him a trial rather than a little brother.

The Watch

 

Poppy is keeping an eye on Bujang's Lactated Ringers as well as his IV Infusion. We usually get them at the hospital where they're cheaper. It would cost us $15 at the vet but only $4.98 at the hospital. At present only Bujang needs SubQ as he is dehydrated even though we tell him to drink water often. 

We now change the water in the bowls 4 times a day to encourage them to drink more water as they also eat kibble. The kitties tell fern that they now find the water to taste better and even smell better. So I hope they would actually drink more. 

 

It's not often that Bujang drinks from here in the afternoon and here he was. I am Glad for him as he has some difficulty in just drinking although he tells Fern, 'Yes I know.'
