Cat Whisperer in our midst

I told her many things and she said I was chatty and a nice kitty.

Today we had an animal communicator Fern to come to our house as I feel that we may need more help than what the vets can give us, especially for Ms Akira. It was very exciting for me and for the amigos and I didn't think all of them would be so chatty and their personalities shone through everything.  I had been to Laura Stinchfield's blog and read about her as well as listened to her radio show and thought I should give this a shot. I am glad I did and as Fern said I could blog about our meeting, I would be doing so in the weeks to follow. We had also decided on a course of action that might help Ms Akira and the boys (but not with Tanaka and Megat, as she does not like them yet) can get together. Hopefully in the months to come, she would get a little better. Ms Akira and Megat are both also getting Reiki for emotional help.

I do not know how many people believe in animal communicators but I would do really anything to get help for the amigos :). I think they have a special skill and gift that would be helpful for us here. Our first instalment will be tomorrow for Ms Akira as I have some work stuff to get through tonight :)

Amigos Wednesday Lazeabout

ho-hum...

Tomorrow we are going to have quite an exciting day at home. I have decided to call in additional help, a pet communicator and behaviourist,  for Ms Akira and her continued over-grooming problems even with clomicalm. I thought it best that she comes to see all of them in their usual environment and then go from there. We will write about it once we know all the details.

Taking It Easy on Monday

I had originally bought this cat seat for Bujang since he is our biggest cat at 8kg. Bujang has used this only once or twice as he prefers sitting by the window in the living room or sleeping on grandma's bed where no one disturbs him. Totoro was the first brave kitty to sit here although he has now abandoned this for his favourite couch :) Itis close to impossible to buy ample seating for the kitties and this petshop is one of the very few to stock brand of cat trees. It is also made of pine so its long-lasting as well.

Easy Peasy Sunday

 This Sunday our hibiscus showed her first flower. It was a nice orange one. The hibiscus is in a high pot outside so no fears about the cats getting sick from it.

 Totoro decided to do laundry duty ...

 Megat decided to get higher as the morning was busy with chores. he did not want any!

 Ms Akira was far too busy surveying the land to bother about laundry or chores!

 Big BOSS was watching the house! No one gets off chores except himself and maybe...

Saturday Cuddle

The amigos were very relieved when the little calico girl went to her forever home. Akira was not very upset when she saw the calico in the kitchen but she did not enter the kitchen at all. Only Megat was  unfazed and Totoro was not very concerned. But Tanaka refused to come out of the bedroom for 3 days and would not enter the kicthen at all. But now everything is ok and everyone has relaxed considerably. Phew!

Community Cat Adoption

 Can anyone resist such a pretty face?

We found this calico 3 weeks ago when we gave the community cats their dinner. She came when we invited her to eat and since she was not spayed, we caught her (I just happened to have a carrier since we were looking for another lost pet) and sent her to be spayed. She is very young, not more than a year old and very even tempered. Since we suspected that she was an abandoned pet, we immediately sent out many smsses and appeals to all our friends to ask if they would adopt her or at least know of someone who would. We are glad to report that yesterday, her new mom came and brought her home to a nice house with a garden! She would be a very happy kitty there.

 Her new mom was very impressed with her sweet personality and golden eyes :)

She sat just like this when she had interviewed the woman (who is now her mom). I told her that someone would come to see her and she should do all the right things. She chirped and touched the woman with her paw. I think that was when the woman said "OK. I will bring her home." But she stayed with me for a few days more as her new mom needed to buy a cage as she would have a 10 year-old ragdoll brother. We though a slow introduction is best as she is very frisky and curious.

One the fist day she came home from sterilisation, she sat with me and told me that too much work makes for a dull life!Why not sleep instead! Here, her colouring is very obvious and markings very beautiful.

 She drinks from a mug! And runs and bats her kibble about before finally eating it!

The shenanigans!

On the very first day she came to my house, she decided that my arm would be the most suitable pillow. I think with her sweet chirping voice, her general curiosity and her een temper, she would make a very good companion for anyone. We are glad we were able to find her a good home!

Just Because

I am here to watch my bruffers take their medicine. But I can look good whiledoing it!

Private Seating- Seats only one

san took the advice of the Katnip Loungers and boughted me another one. She double-sided taped them together to give me this! They are very clever kitties, thems at the Katnip Lounge!

 I am glad Toro found it much more comfortable.

 He has not gotten up from it...well only to eat dinner and then...

 back again...

My new love

 This is for me. I am the only one who uses it all day and everyday. It has my name on it.

 When the man brought us our foods, san opened this up for us. It was love at first sight. xxxxx

 I immediately sat in it so no other kitties could. This one is MINE! It is our own cat couch!

 I can sit on it, lie on it, sleep on it and of course rest my chin on it! I can do anything that a human bean does on theirs!

Hmmm...maybe san could get us  a bigger one since I would lie to have all of my body and feet on it as well. Maybe I can persuade san to use her plastic money and the 'puter! Hmmmm..work to do on Sunday!

Amigos Wednesday

 Finally, after a whole month Bujang decided he would try this out. I got it for him as he is a big cat and needs a lot of space.

 Toro, of course thinks he has every right to all anything in the house...lalalala

Tuesday Thots

I think this may be one of the brighter things that I had done for the amigos. Now Toro has a chance of sleeping here, which is bad news for Tanaka as he now has to share this space. He used to be King of the Castle :)
