Finally....I got him on camera. he has been drinking from this Cat-it 3 days after I set it up. The amigos, apart from Bujang, now prefer this one to the rest. I think its because it is taller and they don't have to bend down much to drink from it. This is especially good for Megat.

and grandma loves him. He sits with her whenever she is on the couch. He would try to warp his little legs around her too..hahaha... but sometimes it gets too warm and grandma would say ..."Panas lah..kau turun." (Its too hot. You have to get down)

Hmmm...effurything seems the same san...

Tanaka was 2 years old on the 18th of November. I had a workshop and they gave us each a Santa hat to wear at our Amazing Race stations! So when I got home, I have it to Tanaka to play with :) He came to us 2 years ago on this date. I remembered it was Depavalli and Cousin R brought a squealing kitten in her arms. We had to get grandma to agree to us fostering him and now he is part of our crew. He is a happy and playful little thing who is interested in everything that happens in the house. He befriends all the service guys and offers his help to everyone but his favoutite is Kelvin, our laundry guy :) Kelvin also likes him and if Tanaka was not at the front door, he would ask, "Where is the golden one?" Hot Water Bottle

Let me get comfortable...

Oh yeah...

For the last two weeks Megat has taken a liking to settling on my chest to rest and nap. He used to do this in the first few weeks of living with us. Even though he still had lice and he was none too clean, I allowed him this as I thought it would settle him much more quickly and he could settle down and hang out with the boys much more easily, which he did.

However, after a few months of this, he decided that he would take the amigo house by storm and found other places to hang.

Last year I had cough and it helped me quite a lot to have this warm bundle on my chest. I had forgotten he did this last year. For the past week I have been having a nasty cough and lo and behold, Megat sits on my chest for short periods of the time, mostly at night when the day gets colder. He is alot better than a hot water bottle :) I now have antibiotics, cough medicine etc but nothing beats a black cat on your chest for comfort.

Alpha and Omega

Yup...we are bruffers...

Another first in the amigo house is Tanaka and Megat sitting or lying side by side on the sofa. They sat here for about 5 minutes and then Tanaka saw omething much more interesting :) Megat and Tanaka have been playing and touching noses with each other quite often. Their sizes belie their ages with Tanaka, the youngest, just touching two years on the 18th of November and Megat, the oldest, will be 14 in Dec :)

The musketeers having the weekly meeting...

This Sunday the boys were uncharacteristically pally. They walked about in a group, took look at Sunday along the corridor and then after some discussion and going back and forth, they all decided to hold their weekly meeting in the bedroom where it would not be so exhausting. The cat seats are dry this morning. Yesterday afternoon, I forgot to close the windows and the seats got a little wet.

Remission

Yup...I may appear calm but you know that I am overjoyed :)

Finally our broadband is up again and we are able to blog. Our most important announcement is that Megat is in remission and you can read about it here. He is happy and cheerful and spends his time chasing and playing catch with the boys, even with Bujang. Of course he sometimes bullies Toro but it is more a territorial issue than anything else. He walks taller and is rounder too. Cousin R said that he also appears to have grown bigger. I think maybe its all the supplements that he needed to take. :)

After running about with Megat, Bujang decided to take a breather and sit against the window looking at the light drizzle. I think he likes the coolness that comes with it. He is getting rather mellow and is still a little nervous about why Megat is suddenly being so friendly. Megat is slowly but surely taking top spot in the house as he is taking over Bujang's usual spots.
