A tunnel would do just as well...

Time tunnel...

Grandma spent much time looking for Bujang this morning - in her bedroom, in mine, in the ratten cat basket, the orange one, the washbasin ...to no avail. The she decided to take one last look at the red tunnel and here was Bujang, looking at her with his bright yellow eyes.

"Eh!! What are you doing here? I was looking for you..."
"I am just resting grandma, and the black cat would not find me here too."

Toro's sunday morning

No thanks. I do not want to do any climbing....

Toro watching the world safely...

Toro has not yet discovered how to get up the cat--tree near the window. It is rather unstable even though I had wedged it firmly at the corner. Therefore he is only able to watch the goings-on outside through the grills at the door. He doesn't seem to mind this much. I noticed that if he wants to, he would actually make an all-out effort to make it happen. He has managed to get up the cupboard top in the computer room by sheer determination. and trying again and again. So I know he is quite content just to look at the outside from here :)

Ms Akira's window adventures

Sunday Morning lookout...

Tread carefully Ms Akira...
Ms Akira contemplating the outside....

Ms Akira wanted to see what was going on outside but without having to step outside to do it :) She loves watching at the window especially when the grills are opened too. She would be the first one to jump onto the cat tree and if she was not, she would beat the one before her. Her persistence usually wins the day.

Sunday quiet time

Yawnnnnn.....

Sundays at the amigos house are always lazy and sleepy. Everyone is sitting on their own roosts some place in the house. Megat in his green carrier, Toro up on his fav computer shelf, Ms Akira under the blankets and Bujang in his cat-tree basket. The house is quiet and peaceful. Too peaceful for grandma who is right now hunting down the kitties :)

Midnight oil

I'm here to help you....

Bujang very kindly waited up for me to complete some of my work for monday. He sat quietly and watched out for danger :)

What's all that noise huh?

Its out there...

But where is it san?

Last night the amigos were all interested to know where the great commotion was. There were several sudden roars of laughter, clapping, yelling and whoops from the neighbours. Even Megat stopped his seemingly eternal grooming feats to listen carefully. I think there must be some soccer matches someplace. Sinc I do not wacth soccer, I do not know if indeed this was even the case. Too bad for the amigos since I was not able to tell them about the noise :)

Dreams

I have been having dreams about the amigos. They are not exactly nightmares but not nice dreams either. They usually centre around one of them getting hurt and me not being able help them immediately so I would see myself running here and there trying to get someone to help my cats. Finally someone would help them and then they would be happy and safe at home. I have these dreams possibly because I have so much work to do and have not been able to pay much attention to everyone. Thank goodness grandma is home to comfort everyone and to give thme what they need - to chat and hang out with family :)

Bujang the great hunter

Where is that darn Megat?

No I didn't kill the rug...

Bujang spends quite lot of his time looking for Megat. I guess you have to know where the enemy hides in order to make plans to rest and relax. This morning he went ballistic with the rug that I have put over the mat. I realised that some of my rashes could come from the mat and I do not itch so much when I sit on the rug. Of course Megat comes to sit on the rug too when he feels like it and the Bujang and Ms Akira take turns to sit on it. Its agood thing the rug is light and I can wash it every week. I have also cleaned the mats but I just like the colour of the green, red and yellow rug :)

Toro's birthday 1st March

What did you say?

Its my birthday? Really?

The birthday pose...
Toro knows he is very beautiful and shows his best side to the camera :)

Eating extra birthday treats...

Playtime!

Resting with grandma...

Bedtime...zzzz...

Toro and I have the same birthdays :) I think he had a nicer time as he didn't have to endure silliness at work. I got him a nice birthday collar of blue and white stones and a blue star to go with his blue eyes. Some people said that I was crazy to buy my cat such an expensive collar and I should use my money to better use. But I think he looks nice in his blue present and I am glad that I had bought him this one :) He is a nice friendly kitty and I cant imagine not having him. Even grandma agrees that the collar looks nice and it shines prettily around his neck.

I had actually bought him some salmon (my fav fish) so I can cook him something nice for his birthday. I saw something on Animal Planet and there was this chef who had cooked something for cats - salmon, butter, milk, garlic and a little salt. People could eat something like that :)

He spent the whole day playing with Bujang - in and out the red tunnel, making such a ruckus and overturned the water fountain. But since it was his birthday, I did not reprimand him and allowed him to re-arrange the fountain however he likes it. :)

He got quite tired in the late aftrenoon and snoozed beside grandma for 10 minutes. She patted him to sleep and was quite amused when he snored a little. I think he is grandma's favourite. He sure behaves like he is anyway.

Later at night he decided to lseep on the cat tree. The seat is too small for such a big cat but I can't find anything with a larger diameter. I saw one in the net that has a cat tree and a seat with 16 inches across but I don't think I should buy one online. I'm sure there would be some place in Singapore that would sell one with a larger diameter for bigger cats! Surely some pets store owner would know that there are BIG cats in Singapore who would appreciate the space!

Megat

Lookin good!

Resting after a hard day...

Profile...

I'm Boss!

Megat now has the run of the house. He is only in the cage at night and when grandma has to do housework. He eats his own weight in kibble and NB canned food! His confidence grows steadily and now he no longer sticks to me all day but has managed to sit on the sofa by himself and even on grandma's lap, much to Toro's disgust!

Toro and Megat sometimes plays catch and Toro has taken to patting Megat on his rump whenever he could. Megat likes playing with Toro I guess cos Toro is very friendly and loves playing more than anything else.

Although Megat still makes mock runs at Bujang, Bujang no longer hides under tables to escape him. Bujang would run a little distance away or just jump onto his tree-basket. He is no longer wide-eyed with fear and could relax in the same room.

Ms Akira is the only one whom Megat is afraid of as she would snarl and scream in his face the moment he gets within 1 feet of her. Megat knows better than to make her mad these days :)

New collars for the Wild Bunch

Red Alert!

I decided to get red collars for the Wild Bunch. I hope that this identifies them as one group and people would know that they belong to someone - namely me and the old aunty. FatBoy's webring collar was getting ratty and someone had stolen Little Calico's pink and white polka-dotted collar, eventhough it was a little dirty! These collars of course belonged to the amigos but I don't think they would mind if I give them away.

The handsome black and red striped one is for FatBoy. It has the white luminous dots which would be better for him as he moves about quite a lot. I hope drivers would be able to spot him and not mow him down.

Little Calico has the one with the little jewels. she looks pretty in it. It was coincidence that I brought the collar down on last Tuesday. I noticed her pink collar was dirty and I had wanted to get her a nice new collar. On Tuesday night I finally brought her the collar and saw that she was missing her pink one! She has worn it for many months with no mishap. She was very skittish when I came down to feed her last Tuesday and refused to go to our usual feeding spot. Then I noticed her bare neck. I think someone had taken it off her at the spot and so she was pretty skittish and turned around several times to look about her! She has always been a pretty confident kitty before this.

No collar for Calico Mom.

I didn't put a collar for calico mom as she is a fierce one and does not allow anyone near her. But I saw the old aunty last Thursday and she helped me put the red collar for Calico Mom. The aunty just swooped her up and I quickly snapped it shut. She has a plain red one and she looks quite nice in it. The old aunty was very pleased that the Wild Bunch are collared and so am I.

Blecch!

No collar for Casanova as he is not one of mine although I feed him when he comes around. He does not have a regular time-table and so its difficult to make friends. He is a very big Tom and looks very strong. So I am a little nervous of catching him for neutering. He comes and goes as he pleases. The old aunty does not like him as he has screaming matches with Calico Mom she says. I have not been witness to this but of course FatBoy hates him and screams the house down when he sees Casanova.

The old aunty tells me that she is no longer able to work at the coffee shop because she is allergic to detergent. So I asked her to help me feed the Wild Bunch on 3 Fridays as I will not be able to feed them on time because of work.
