Do the catnip!

Ooohhh catnip!
Tanaka on the other hand was busy inspecting the catnip!
Toro took a good sniff...
and decided to have a quick lie-in...
Resting after that exhausting dance!

I decided to give the kitties new scratch boards as their old ones were ratty and I it was then that I realised that they had quite a few. 9 horizontal boards to share among 4 boys! They have 2 in each bastant, 3 in the big box under the table and 2 under my bed. Then we also have 2 vertical ones and 1 mat, which is a favourite. Ms Akira prefers the vertical ones. Maybe that is why none of them have made mincemeat of grandma's sofa...yet.

Hahhaaa.....how many scratching boards we have, our cats never fail to try out new spots. Our woven water hyacinth sofa is a conversational piece considering its altered state. Cut cats' nails? After a cat(man)-icure, cats re-double their effects to file their shortened nails. Got to get new sofa b4 relatives do the eyes-rolling/tongues-clucking/heads-shaking at yearly CNY appraisal on housekeeping.
Your sofa looks like a dream !!

  2. Has Ikea started to re-sell their scratch boards again? I've been hunting high and low for a suitable one since they discontinued selling their scratch boards since last year. I've even been to the Ikea in KL but to no avail!

Lucikly my cats like the $2 cardboard type from Daiso but last week when I went to Daiso in Vivocity and IMM, they're not there anymore :(

Can anyone recommend any place that sell good and cheap cardboard type scratch boards? My cats go through one about every 2 weeks.

A cheap way to make catnip is to stick corrugated boards together...but it takes a lot of cutting lah
