Panthers before and now

This was the picture of my cat Megat that I wanted to post yesterday. He was a good cat and tried his best. Being a commcat he was fierce and aggressive when he came and beat up all the kitties ‘before they beat (me) up.’ Ms Akira was terrified of him and there was a great fight. Later from Fern I found out that he was afraid of Ms Akira and he thought she was going to beat him up first. But later in his life when he was unwell he did say to her that he had no more energy and he won’t be mean to her anymore. Once I remembered him asking if his body would remain when he joined Toro. All in all, he was a brave Miracle cat. 

2 months before he passed, he looked very well. 

Rezki of cos has no such problems with health, and his kidneys are doing much better. His only problem was finding his place in a family of 4 senior cats. Last week, he did say he felt as though they were ‘picking on him’ but he is happy to be with us. I think the kitties are a little tired of being picked on by him and are now up in arms. Even Bujang had given up being an observer and is now taking an active role in discipline.

I thought the banner needs updating. The pics were taken this morning except for Bujang's one. His was taken last night. It's a little blurry as usual.

It seems I can now only upload pictures this way, using a link to google pictures https://photos.app.goo.gl/cI91g3sRuaEuSh7t2  if I use the BlogTouch app. So when someone wants to see the picture, one has to click on the link and it brings you to the picture itself. That's not a lot of fun as a blog should have pictures in it. 

What was once a convenience is turning ridiculous. The picture in the link shows Bujang as he was sitting with me tonight (I had posted the actual image from my computer in this edited post).  I don’t think it was supposed to work this way. 

Just Because

I am trying the old way of blogging without using my BlogTouch Pro app. That app refused to upload my pictures telling me that I have run out of storage. My forays into troubleshooting informed me that it was simply impossible. Nevertheless I am still trying to figure it out. While I am doing that please enjoy Poppy at the window. 

Rainbow cat and a cat who brings rainbows

Spam brought me to this picture of Rainbow Totoro this morning. He had UTI and we had to bring him to the vet. This is a 2011 picture. 

And then another one where he was shaved close as it was too hot to have floofy hair. I had blogged here that I had created a Kidney blog for him. Then I didn’t know that I could have brought him to acupuncture although we did do some tcm for him. 

Tanaka comforted me afterwards. 

Boys evening out

The boys got out together this evening. It was really humid so it was a short ride out. All 3 were quiet catching the sights. They even posed for pictures. 


I am getting this new ride for Bujang. It is light but can fit a 10kg cat. Since Bujang is only 6.4kg it should be comfortable enough. This would allow him to sit when we go for walks as he prefers to sit up rather than lie on his stomach. 

Rezki on Sunday

Rezki sat with my Sister after she finished her evening prayers. He just sat quietly listening to her read verses. 

Popps used to do this but now she much prefers her own company. He loves my sister and she of him. I am glad he has chosen his person. My sister sleeps over once a week so he would not miss her too much. 

Saturday at home

Yesterday Rezki told Fern that he was afraid that I might not love him. I was thinking about that and thought possibly it’s because I keep telling him to leave the others alone when he disturbs their rest. Possibly it’s time to think about what happens to a cat like this in a houseful of senior cats. I had thought of rehoming him to a house with younger cats so he can play with cats that has the  same level of energy now that his kidneys are fine. Then I think that perhaps that would be foolish as he is used to us and he has worked very hard to be where he is. And not many people would send him to acupuncture nor do tcm and reiki. Also he would be truly upset if he has to go. I would need to rethink my strategy to integrate him into senior family life.

Finally Friday Family

I was just looking at some pictures from 2015 and came across this set of pictures or blog headers that I had over the years and the cats that came and went to the bridge. I started this blog in 2005, and we are now about 12 years old. Many of the Singapore bloggers have stopped blogging and went into FB and such. I myself now have a FB page when I started to do rescue and adoption with Jeffrey Boy, now Cody. But increasingly I have thought of friends far and near who have lost many cats and dogs and even hamsters and one tortoise. I thought it would be nice to see my family as well. This is surprisingly not a sad journey (I thought I would be much sadder)  but I am glad for each and every kitty that I used to have and still have.

 Then when 2 of the family went to the bridge, we just had Chairman Bujang, Ms Akira, and Scamp Tanaka

In 2014, a new family member joined us. So we became Mellow-Yellow Tanaka, Chairman Bujang, Ms Akira and Big Sister Popsicle Poppy.

and as of 2016, we are now 5 again with Super Assistant Popps, Big Brother Tanaka, The Chairman Bujang, Warrior Cat Akira who found her groove back and of course Secret Agent Rezki.

I am glad that I have them all, past and present.
