Faboy was very thirsty and drank quite abit of water...

Fatboy: I do not want to go to the SPCA

san: There is NO WAY you are going there fatboy. I just wish you are not so friendly with everyone!!

Fatboy looking behind before going forward...

It was a close shave for Fatboy this aftrenoon from being sent to the SPCA! I think the telephone tag is proving to be very dangerous for him. Someone brought him home last night and called grandma this morning to ask if she had lost her cat. Of course the amigos were all inside and safe and she said that she had lost lost any.

The person smsed me this afternoon to ask me about the tabby (Fatboy) and I told him that he is a community cat and I am his caregiver. The person then asked me if I wanted to adopt Fatboy (!!!) as he already had one cat. I told him that I had 5 cats and cannot take another one. The person actually said in that case he would have to put him back or send him to the SPCA! What the #$^*^!!

So after calling him twice (and giving him frantic smses), I finally got him and told him to put my cat back and not to send him to the SPCA where he will get killed. He (he sounded very young) laughed and said he would return Fatboy to the void deck. I told him that it was no laughing matter and getting killed is not funny and that I wanted him to return my cat immediately and not to take any more cats from downstairs. He told me he would do so immediately.

I then raced downstairs and shook my keys. It was a great relief that I saw Fatboy running towards me and because I was so relieved he got 3 cans of salmon and tuna. The boy was nowhere to be seen.

So from now, he would get no tag. I think the boy meant well and thought he was genuinely a lost cat and wanted to keep him safe. So tomorrow even Minah and Putih would get no tag. I think we will just keep the collar to tell people that someone is actually looking after the two.

I thank the Great Cat in the sky for his safety and close shave.

Phew..thats a close shave. Yes I think the boy meant well too but he probably doesn't know a trip to the SPCA is a trip to almost certain death.

On the contrary, I think the tag saved your cat. Imagine if this person does not have your contact, he would have just brought Fatboy to SPCA and you would not have know what happened.

I put my contact on my community cat as well just in case.

What you should do is to inform your grandma that in future any such calls should be referred to you.

  4. Yes san i think the tag should not be removed. Even if FB were sent to the SPCA, i am sure the staff will call you if the tag is on.
