What am I really?

 Sky: I am a lion but san thinks I am a kittykat.

MM: I am an expert camper but san thinks I am a naughty boycat

Momo: I am a cuddly teddy bear but san thinks I am a wanna-be Queen. 

Tsk-tsk. We don’t think san knows us well 

Is it a bath san?

It is already 6.15 am. It is still dark out but I can hear the rain still. It started from yesterday and has not stopped. San said it will probably continue throughout the day as it’s ‘that’ kind of rain. I wonder who is washing as I can’t see anyone or any cat. When my sisters go to the groomers the get a bath. San said no one is washing anyone and that rain is a natural thing. Hmmm. San said one of my rainbow sisters used to sit under the rain many times  until she came to live here. San brought her to the vet and thankfully the vet said there was nothing wrong with her. This water is a great mystery. 

 Rainbow sister Popsicle Popps. She used to sit in the rain when she was downstairs. She must have been one strange kitty. 

San said I look very much like Popps. Even the markings on our heads are alike. It is only our tails that are different and of course our colour. She only saw it this morning and wand was very surprised. 

Friday at home

 Today San is home as it is Good Friday. I had good naps and am now listening to the rain outside. There is some thunder but I know it is outside of my house so I am safe. 

Camping Trials

 San told me to take many pictures of my camping trip. But I only took 6. I tried to get Tiger to go with me as I was afraid of being lonely but he wanted to stay with Sky. So I went by myself. I climbed over white rocks and saw Nature at Her finest. I even tried to hunt a small lion. But it was all too much for me and I fell asleep. When I came home san gave me my favourite blanket and I then napped the rest of the day away.

San said a little yellow will make this  picture of my camping trip better. I think I am enough. 
 

Saturday with Manju

I had to hide out as san wanted to bring me to the vet. I was not feeling so good on Thursday and was also quiet and kept to myself yesterday. Last night my ears felt hot so I had to rest. This morning san touched my ears as told me I seemed ok. Then I ran to the kitchen for breakfast so san decided not to bring me to the vet. Phewwww! She thinks it’s the freaky weather we have been having and in a few days there might be a heat wave.

Queen Mochi the First

Chris chatted with Manju about his stomach problems when he suddenly told us that ‘Momo told us she is Queen’.  but ‘no one takes her seriously’ . It was his way of distracting us. But she does act like a diva!

Sisters on Tuesday

These days I sleep near my sister Sky, on the couch next to san. So sometimes all of us will sit or nap near each other. Even Manju sometimes sits with us although he tends to disturb us more than rest. 
 

Just Because we’re bff

Cat games for supercats.

 These days Sky tells san it is time for cat games. We usually get to play when san comes home from work and she puts on a game for us for 10 minutes while she puts her books down or makes herself some tea. It’s always fun although san tells us not to break the screen. We try to be careful but sometimes it’s impossible.  

Ramadhan

Ramadhan is here again but thank goodness I do not have to fast. I ate a whole can of chicken and also ate some of my sisters’ food as san forgot to put the latch on my gate. San didn’t fast today as her doctor told her she could not be hungry or she might have to go to the Big Vet. She just thinks she needs to eat differently though. I told her she should leave my diet alone. 
 

I am better !

 Nowadays I eat all of my food as I feel well. San gives me only 1/2 a can in the morning and I get 1/2 for lunch and dinner. She feels I should take it easy. But this morning I was very hungry and ate 1 can for breakfast. The vet thinks it’s a matter of my digestion and gave me probiotics that I have to take for the long term. I also got some mirtapazine in case I am off my food again but I only take it if I have an appetite problem. He also told san  to use Nex Guard on me as mite prevention. Since I had put on weight,  I didn’t have to do any labs. But the vet told san that if this problem crops up again and I lose weight as well, then it would be time for investigations. 

The vet again?

I went to the vet again this afternoon as I had loose stools and didn’t feel like eating. Yesterday I didn’t eat at all and had a few kibbles at night. The vet said as I weigh more than the last time I was there, he was not worried. He gave me a probiotic, transdermal mirtapazine and new mite control so he could keep tabs on it. When I came home I ate more of my food. San was surprised. So was I.

Saturday at home

Momo sat here quietly listening to the sounds of cooing. We have not seen the pigeons yet but we hear the cooing almost every day, sometimes from the corridor garden as well.

These days Manju can usually be found at this window especially in the mornings as I am still  on hospitalisation leave. He loves the smell of mornings. 

 

Just Because

It’s finally ok to nap after 3 days of noisy merry-making by the neighbours. I had to say hello to many of our neighbour’s visitors for Chinese New Year from inside my house. San shut all the windows as well as the noise might scare us. But today, all is quiet. 
 

Help for san

 I tried to help out with the kitties when san was in hospital. Yes I am not here anymore but I asked san if I could stay with her for a bit before leaving for the bridge. I knew she may need my help and she did. I told the kitties that san was ok and they should try to relax and help each other. I told Chris that I would leave for the bridge in a few months as the kitties were now able to be friends and enjoy each other’s company. I know san would be sad but it’s time to leave already. Manju can already take care of san I thought as he is now older and more calm. The two girls are ok with each other and eventhough momo can be a princess , she has been a good nurse for san. 

San is back for Year the Snake

 San came home from another stay at the Big Vet. This time it was for the H1N1 influenza virus. The vet said that as she just had her heart operation the situation was not good but they managed to help her. When she was exiting the hospital san asked the nurse if the colourful plaster was to celebrate her being out of hospital. Many patients went home as well as each had the same plaster. Unfortunately the nurse said it was for them to see if the site was an injection site (catheter) or a blood site. San really asks the silly questions sometimes. 

Good Nurse Momo

 I spent many nights looking after san. She had a heart procedure on Wednesday. The vet tried to stop her heart from murmuring so much. She told me the vet burned the wave using lasers. So these few night I slept on her pillow and purred her to sleep. I think she is doing well. I am a good nurse. 

What’s that sound?

At about 5.50 am he heard a rooster and wondered what it was. I told him it was a big bird but he didn’t believe me and tried to look for it. Increasingly we have more and more wild chickens and roosters in the area. 
 

Whiskeratti on the job

San opens the window for me to hear the birds. It had been raining continuously for three days and on the one day that the rain stopped (for a bit) we both heard the birds chirping loudly. I was very happy to hear them and sat here for almost an hour just enjoying the breeze and bird song.  

 

It’s a cold Saturday

It rained all of yesterday and today it’s still raining. San said the weather report warned of flood. We’re lucky we live on a high floor and are safe.
