Tuesday Thots

 

Still on the subject of beds, this is my new bed. I don't sleep in the Muji box anymore as it's now too small to fit me and Mr Donkey. So now I have this cave in fresh spring colours. Now it fits me, my orange and yellow blanket and Mr Donkey. Of cos I only allow the boys to use it (the girls have shown no curiosity whatsoever). Bujang and Tanaka use it sometimes but I am the only one in it at night because it's my bed. 

Monday Mood

 

This is Popp's Favourite bed. It used to be our rainbow brother's Toro's Favourite as it gets the breeze. The yellow duck was a present from Molly, the receptionist at the acupuncturist. 

Easy Peasy Sunday

 

Akira lately has taken a great liking to sitting here. This bed actually belongs to Popps but all the other cats sit in here as well. Popps doesn't seem to mind although I notice she has used it less frequently. 

All's well that ends well

 

Our commcat Girl2 was in a fight with a 'stranger cat' that had been roaming the area for a few years. No one could catch him as he visits our area at night and is not a regular. We tried to catch her 2 days ago but failed.

 

At about 5ish yesterday, Cousin R and I managed to catch her using a sack. We tried to keep calm even though we nervous. 

 

I had to keep her in the carrier outside the kitchen so Rez can rest. She was quiet. The amigos were also quiet although they know that something was up with the strange cat. But they did not make a fuss and Girl2 became much more calm herself. Both of us waited for about 5 hours for Regine to get her. Regine is part of Petwagon and she is a humane trapper and also helps to take care of  injured cats. Both Rez (when he was a commcat) and Girl2 had gone to Regine before for injuries and recuperation. 

 

Both the boys were helping me to keep her company. Right after Regine came to take Girl2 away, all of us turned in. After a short grooming session...

 

both Tanaka and Bujang fell right to sleep. They had both stayed up after their bedtime and were really tired.  

Eh?

 

I got this for the amigo yesterday to put in this corner. Tanaka the QC officer was the first one in it.  

I think Bujang was surprised he could fit in it. I had first thought I would have to give it away to my Sister whose cat is smaller.  

This morning Bujang tried it again for size. He seems comfortable in this igloo so it will stay so everyone can enjoy it. Popps doesn't like igloos, preferring open cat seats. Akira has not tried it. I think soft collar would get in the way. The Ninja has also not tried this yet. But it seems comfortable enough.

Saturday in the park

 

Bujang and I went to the bigger park this morning. We went out later than usual so it was beginning to get hot when we left. It was pretty quiet though as the exercise centre was cordoned off for renovations. Bujang was meowing for someone I guess so I had to tell him he was the only cat there. He walked to the playground but there was no one there as well. 

Morning routine

 

As the days are so humid Akira had decided that just hanging out like this is better than sitting on my lap. So these sessions start both of our days. Thank goodness for this.

A rare moment of Akira enjoying a sunpuddle at the door. Bujang joined her a few minutes later. He is very protective of Akira and would beat up anyone who causes her grief. 

Anniversary

 

On 2 April 2016 we took him in thinking that it would be just matter of SubQ and meds for a month and he could get back to his old life. This was his first day with us. He was a commcat that suddenly appeared in the carpark, most probably abandoned as he knew how to play with cat toys and likes treats. Our other commcats would ignore treats.

 

       We  tried to put him up  for adoption. 

 

             But he had other plans
