The cats who came to dinner...

Taoist prayers followed our journey to dinner this Tuesday...

FatBoy has to eat on a piece of newspaper as he is wont to drag his food out of the bowl onto the floor...

After her dinner, Putih looked on curiously at an infrequent visitor...

Putih was curious yet wary...



MC actually growled at her after dinner. I had to 'shhh' MC so Putih would not be frightened. MC scooted off but Putih remained looking after her as she disappeared.

FatBoy and Big Casanova had a bit of a staring match. FatBoy was ready for anything to happen as evidenced by his flattened ears. But Big Casanova merely wanted to show who was BOSS. He sprayed onto the pillars at the void deck and then lay lazily looking at FatBoy!

Cal hiding between cars for security as both Big Casanova and FatBoy were around. She came to dinner early this time. :)

Minah ate very late today as she was not around when I came down to feed the wildbunch. She waited patiently and then yelled when she saw me coming home :) She ate some salmon dinner and some fussiecat before she stretched luxuriously and went off.

Everyone came to dinner.

Everyone was safe and sound.

It was a good day for the wildbunch.

Toro on Tuesday

Quiet times with Toro...

Toro sat on the coffee table for the whole afternoon as he gets to be near the laptop and therefore quite warm. He is the only one still awake :) Actually he is the only one who runs around the house chasing shadows, growling at invisible flying thingees and racing across the living room. Where does he get all that energy!

I got home early for once and opened the windows for the amigos. Bujang and Ms Akira immediately made a bee-line for the best seats in the house to see the goings-on outside. From this side of the room, they get to see the roadand all the vehicles on it. They like doing this alot- if not together, seperately.

· A cat will almost never meow at another cat. Cats use this sound for humans.

Monday lullaby

Bujang is just taking a break...

Megat is sleeping on his new blanket that grandma has placed for him and he is taking a break after taking his ARCferon. He is the only one taking his vitamins and I fear he has to do this for the long term. I have learnt to take it out from the fridge and leave it to out so it returns to room temperature and he finds this much better than having some cold liquid shot into his mouth.

I was very worried for Cal. I didn't know where she had disappeared to and I didn't know if she was safe. She is quite scared of many things and do not like people all that much, and male cats not at all. Although I told myself that the TC did not come a-calling, at the back of my mind I was afraid that this might have happened to her or that she had been hurt by one of the residents or kids.

It was quite fortunate that this morning I met one of the residents who parks his car in the carpark and he told me that indeed he had seen Cal about in the mornings and afternoons. I then decided that I would look for Cal at dinner and indeed this was what I had done. After my last call, I went to all the 5 levels of the carpark looking for her but she was nowhere to be found. Then I thought I would look for her at her usual dinner spot and there she was- waiting patiently for me at about 8. This was rather late for me and her. I suspect she decided to change her routine as by this time, there was not much activity in the carpark and there was no Big Casanova, except FatBoy, who came a-calling for yet more food.

Cal was very fierce with him and growled when he came near. I think she was much too hungry to run and indeed she has grown much thinner but not too thin. She was just a little slimmer but still FAT! :) I am glad nothing had happened to Cal at all. I would just have to change my feeding times to suit her as she would certainly not change to suit mine....sighzz...

Sunday sees the amigos just resting and lazing about. megat was in hiding so its only the 3 of them in these pics. Toro and Bujang were incredibly suspicious of my bag as I had gone to a bbq and I guess smells linger :)

Cik Mina - again :(

I had tried to catch Cik Mina twice for spaying but as her belly fully testifies- both attempts had failed. I had even managed to ask the workers to help me with it and one of them actually spent some time running after her with a big blanket. Of course that failed. I think she would give birth soon. She is one cat that is impossible to catch as testified by many people (official and unofficial) who had tried to catch her for (i) relocation - the AM at work (ii) spaying- namely me and the cat lovers at work.

I guess MInah found out that the carpark may not be the best place to hide all day. I saw her hiding here when I was looking for Cal yesterday. However she had to streak towards the carpark for shelter against the rain. Cal has not been seen for 5 days. I can't find her in the carpark either.

I know she was not caught by the TC as there would have been some warning for me before any of these things happen and there has not been a complaint about the wildbunch after I had adopted Megat. I hope she is just visiting other places since Big Casanova is hanging out near the carpark and would come back eventually.

Ms Akira and Bujang had a quiet session at the window to look at the world. They sniffed at each other and then sat and groomed themselves. All is right in their world :)

Grandma will always love me...

Toro was watching the goings-on at the window between Ms Akira and Bujang but the gym does not allow 3 cats at the same height. So he had to wait until Ms Akira got bored enough to leave her roost. He then tried to get up but he was nervous of Bujang who may swat at him if he dared to get anywhere on the platform. This had hapepned several times although sometimes they would sit quite amicably together at the cat gym. After some minutes of indecision, he decided to get down and get onto grandma's lap where he rested and took a nap :)

And the winner is...

which effectively cuts off Ms Akira's route to get to the top of the cupboard. She has to get on top of the computer table if she wants to jump onto the cupboard top.

Undeterred, Ms Akira decided to jump onto grandma's sewing machine instead for some R & R much to Toro's disgust as he left soon after :)

The amigos' after-dinner activity

After dinner, I sleep on the coffee table so grandma and san can admire me..

I keep watch on Bujang with one eye and keep the other eye on grandma and san just in case they decide to leave me with Ms Akira...


I keep watch on the door as I hear all the strange noises from the outside and keep close to grandma and san who always watch the cooking shows after dinner... just in case..

Putih drinking water...

Putih is the only one in the WildBunch who drinks the water I bring her. She has been lapping at the water for 2 days consecutively while the rest of them simply sniff at the water. I noticed that there are no water bowls today for Minah and none yesterday and today for Putih. I do not know if someone else had emptied the auntie's water bowls or she has decided to leave the cats to my sole care. I did see some kibble at the corners of the void deck for Putih and Minah though.

Cal has been a no-show for 3 days already. My only consolation is that she is quite a fat cat and 3 days without dinner would not do her much harm as I know she is a good hunter. I really hope the auntie is doing her bit to feed Cal and she has not shown up because of Big Casanova who had come to dinner twice in a row. I hope nothing unfortunate had happened to Cal at all as she hangs out in the carpark.

When I came home from feeding the WildBunch, the amigos were all waiting in anticipation. Ms Akira was not her usual Amazonian self and she merely watched Megat from her Marukan. I think she was weighing the odds of scaring him out of his wits. She has not been swatting him for 3 whole days. I would like to think the Feliway diffuser that I have placed in the computer room is helping her calm down for a bit. She sits quite near the diffuser for long hours.

Toro still has yet to figure out how to jump onto the mahjong table to join the rest so the poor thing can only try to appeal to the sympathy of others :) He is a very bright kitty and one of these days he would figure out that he can use the chairs to get onto the table. One day...perhaps..
