Saturday Easy

Bujang prefers eating the long grass at the open space than the one in the pot. It is always a joy to see him so happy munching grass.

Bujang hanging out with my niece's daughter taking their wefie.

Popps wasn't so sure that it was a good idea.
On a more anxious note , we managed to give Bujang his SubQ only twice. After that he decided he was not going to stay in the carrier at all and was certainly not going to stay around for the needle. We are waiting for a contraption that we saw on Tanya's CRF site - the EZ SubQ belt. Once it's here we will see if we can give him the SubQ at all. Instead these week we gave him some steamed mackerel with the fish fluids as well. There was not much fluid , certainly not 250 ml! But we are trying to include more and more fluids with the steamed fish. The vet said if we can put fluids in his food it would also be better than nothing.
This is the original amount of fluids from one steamed mackerel.
However to his credit he takes the new TCM very well. We mix it with some honey and then we walk with him while giving him the meds. Of course he gets treats afterwards which makes it worthwhile.
We will post about the mysterious package soon. The amigos decided to take matters into their own hands by trying to bite through the box!

We're sorry that Bujang is reluctant to have his Sub-Q but it sounds like San has things under control.

Have a great weekend!

San can only do what Bujang will accept. One of our cats would not accept fluids even though our Mum is very skilled with the needle. She took him to Vet's 2 times a week for the tech there to give it to him. That way he got his fluids and he did not run from Mum. (He didn't like it at the Vet's either). Our brother Arthur used to lay next to Mum and she would attach the needle to the IV line insert the needle under his skin and start the fluids. Easy for him. Having the fluids body temperature helps and starting with a smaller amount of fluids, until used to it, helps too.
Bujang, you handsome boy, we are praying for you.

Bujang, please accept the fluids. We want you to be healthy. Jessica had water mixed in with her Mel's which helped. Thank you San, Tanaka, Bujang, Popps and Akira for your lovely comment. I miss Jessica so much and the days are dark with out her. I do love to follow the antics of much loved kitties as you for. From Eileen

We are sorry that Bujang is not happy to get his SubQ fluids. We do hope that the EZ SubQ Belt will help make the process easier for all of you.
