Anniversary

 

On 2 April 2016 we took him in thinking that it would be just matter of SubQ and meds for a month and he could get back to his old life. This was his first day with us. He was a commcat that suddenly appeared in the carpark, most probably abandoned as he knew how to play with cat toys and likes treats. Our other commcats would ignore treats.

 

       We  tried to put him up  for adoption. 

 

             But he had other plans

Just Because

 

Last night I decided to sleep on san's blanket and used both her pillows. Tanaka wanted to play but I didn't feel like it as I was feeling a little unwell. So san used the a/c which made me feel better. But I stayed here for the whole night as I knew san would try to sleep here if I vacated the space. I had a restful night and felt better in the morning. 

Note: this was the first time Bujang had a slight fever. His ears were hot and he was not as insistent on walking as he would be if he was well. He did not move at all, even to go to the bins for the whole night. He felt very well in the morning and had his breakfast and took his meds with good grace. 

Saturday in the park

The first time Bujang is running across the field. This is quite exciting as it means he may have less pain in his hips. I would be showing Adrian, his osteopath, this video next week. 

You don't say!

 

Errr san, why is that kitty looking at me? What!!! You don't say! I don't believe that was me when I was just four weeks old. Hmmm...

Today I sat near the window next to Poppy. She was asleep so she didn't see me here. 

 

I also went into grandma's room to see what it was like. It was cool and quiet. No wonder my bruffer Bujang likes it a lot. 

 

But I like sitting here best of all as I can run into my room if the gurls decide to chase me off. 

 

This is the safest place. No one comes in at all and I can sleep in peace.

Thursday Negotiations

 

 

The love and hate relationship between The Ninja and Tanaka. This morning Akira rescued Tanaka from Ninja Rezki. Rezki is calmer these day and Tanaka not so afraid of him. It will still take some time but at least they are trying to negotiate space and behaviour. 

Napping all day and every day

 

The torn mat is all Rezki's handiwork. If he does not get his way, he would yell and tear the mat apart. Then he would mess up his blanket. After some time he would relax and play with his toy by the window. I usually wait for the storm to pass before letting him out. 

Saturday on Sunday

 

He went for a walk yesterday and we saw this. It looked festive until the workers for the Town Council came to clean it up. They brought one of those big blowers and scared Bujang. So we went to the park. 

 

Thank goodness he was dressed up with his black and red bow tie that I got him from Catopia. It's a gooodpetcollar so he looked good and the shelter gets 5 tins of canned food as well. Bujang cares a lot what he looks like (from his conversations with Fern. But I am glad he thinks that whatever collar or harness I put on him makes him look good).

Bujang enjoyed himself tremendously. He didn't even mind when we had to leave for home. We spent about an hour there before the sun got too hot for him and for me.
